You enter the citadel to relax after a long day adventuring out in the wide world of Gielinor. The guards at the entrace snap to attention and you mutter a greeting as you pass through the main gate. Several artisans are working on the furnace to your right, strengthening its walls and improving the hoppers on its sides. You see the marvel of the keep rising before you, and your heart sings with pride. Your pace increases, you can almost taste the crisp, sweet taste of the party room's mead on your tongue. You place your weapon and shield in the racks by the door sighing as you do so, happy to be relieved of their weight.

As you force open the huge keep doors you are greeted by a new sight. Standing proud and 8 feet tall in the centre of the foyer is a glorious statue. Carved from the finest marble, with details picked out in obsidian and gold, is a warrior. He stands to attention, his hands resting on the jewelled hilt of a greatsword pointed to the ground between his feet. On his back sits a powerful looking bow, its grip picked out in gold and silver, and on his belt a short staff. You cast your eyes downwards to the golden plaque at the statue's base and read:

"Sir Gilly Fr - Skiller Supreme and Champion of the Dusk"

You gaze in awe of the statue, and of the power of the figure depicted until a series of boards on the wall to your side catch your eye.

You read:

"The league of the Dusk

Prove yourself in the arena against the clan and rise to be champion of the dusk!

Any member can join the league and issue a challenge to those above them in the league. Should you be victorious in a challenge you will rise to their position."

To one side you see a blackboard with challenges and results scrawled all over it, to the other a list ranking participants. You pick up a piece of chalk and wonder who to challenge first...

The Rules

1) You may challenge anyone in the league up to the nearest Knight of the Dusk above you. You can identify the Knights by the bold Sir before their name.

2) All league battles are to take place at the Al Kharid Duel Arena in non-staked battles.

3) All league battles are best of 3 fights, except battles to decide the champion which are best of 5.

4) If either participant is a non-member, the battle must take place on a free world, with all the restrictions that come with it.

5) No healing is permitted in league battles. This includes all food, healing potions, healing familiars, soul-split or anything else.

6) Additional restrictions can be applied only if both players agree to them.

7) If a player is removed from the league, for any reason, they must start again at the bottom.

8) The knight's decisions are final.

Issuing the challenge
Try to find the player online and issue the challenge in person. If you cannot find them in a few days, then post the challenge in this thread. If a challenge here goes unanswered for 2 weeks the player will be deemed inactive and removed from the league.

Arranging the fight
Remember that people have lives outside the game and try to be reasonable when arranging the fight. Let your opponent know the full range of times you are likely to be free. If you cannot agree on a time, consider challenging another player, or asking permission to by-pass them if it is a knight.

If it's a big fight, like a champion's challenge, spread the word about the clan well in advance so we can come and watch!

After the fight
It is the responsibility of the challenger to post the results in this thread, whether they won or lost.

Good luck and have fun!

It's a statue... I don't think it's too worried about the durability of its armaments, more about looking nice.
Feel free to post to join in or let me know when I'm online. It's open to everyone!

Alas, i challenge Sir Joe to a grand duel of awesome proportions!

EDIT - Prevailing from the abyss of adrenaline and aggro that is the duel arena, i snatched victory from the hands of Sir Joe at the last minute, in the closely fought fight that ended up 2 - 1!

"Grats on taking 2nd place. #2 is now actually #2."

So it seems! Also, i don't mean to pester, but aren't i a Knight of Dusk? And doesn't that mean i should have a "Sir" before my name? Once again, don't mean to pester about it, just pointing it out. Cheers :)
