Try installing the game in a different location on your computer, or use a different connection.
Although I imagine it'll fix itself soon.

I am having the same issue with the game loading. This is all I have been able to find online regarding the problem. It is vague and stops short of stating that there is a problem with the game client loading.

I have the same issue. It has been fine for months and now, I can't play unless I go compatibility mode.

Short spec for me:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz
4GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 10 Professional
HD2000 Graphics ( Internal none discrete )

Now, before anyone goes crazy on how low spec this is, the game worked fine for the last few months on lower to mid graphics settings. It is only today that I have had to play in compatibility mode and this is likely not due to a purposeful change, In other words, it's likely a bug.

So, Jagex, did you make a purposeful change that accounts for this, or is it a bug?

Same here. Always after an update I'm wondering what went wrong. Now I have to play in Compatibility mode, lagg a lot. Grrrr

From what I've gathered this client issue stems from having CPU integrated graphics, more specifically those of Intel. It may help that you submit a ticket at Client issues. :) Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot!

I will wait on the current game update to see if that fixes the problem. If I am stuck after that, I will open a ticket. Given that I am running Intel HD2000 graphics and having these issues, the information you have is probably good. lol

One of Jagex engine developers has asked if you can DM him a
dxdiag.txt
report. You can get this by running the application
dxdiag

save all information
