Valentines Day might have been and gone but there's never a bad time to show some love to our Patch Notes!

You may have noticed that we have a new look this week. We're changing the way we bring Patch Notes to you. The differences will be small to begin with, designed mainly to make this page feel a little less formal, but eventually we hope to improve the whole format to offer a lot more than we currently do. Got any ideas? Let us know! Links to our forums are a few lines down!

Once Upon a Slime

Have you helped King Slime find love yet? It's not too late!

  • King Slime's Top Hat now appears at the start of the newest list within the player wardrobe.

  • Fixed a typo that occurs in the Once Upon A Slime quest.

  • Completing the quest will now allow players to re-equip their Comp Capes without having to log back in.

  • Combat

Death can be difficult to work with, even at the best of times.

  • Players can no longer receive the first two bosses from Elite Dungeons as Reaper assignments.

  • Fixed a bug that allowed players' to walk inside the portals.

  • Mining

Semi-active miners were unintentionally impacted by a change to AFK mining rates. To remedy this we have adjusted the rates as follows:

  • *100% stamina = 100% damage

  • *1-99% stamina = 90% damage

  • *0% stamina = 20% damage

  • Players only chasing rockertunities should now find their rates similar to before

  • Other

  • Pushed a number of server-side optimisations and futureproofing measures for Diango's item storage.

  • The Winter Chill off has now been removed from the Lumbridge Crater.

  • The uncompressed textures setting has been re-enabled.

  • Bug Fixes

No one likes encounter bugs when they play, so each week we do our best to squash as many as we can!

Fixes labelled Hotfix were addressed between weekly releases.

  • Action bar keybinds are no longer slightly delayed after exiting various interfaces. The short delay still remains after committing to a chat message.

  • Fixed an issue with clan noticeboard 'thread ID paste' causing a crash/loss of functionality on mobile.

  • The broadcast for a HSR drop will now be displayed in areas where this was previously missed.

  • Fixed a bug that made enemies in GWD2 impossible to kill.

  • Can now pick up a stackable relic from the ground with a full inventory containing the stackable item.

  • Fixed an issue that stopped players completing The Mighty Fall.

  • Mixing a Harralander potion with only swordfish in your inventory will now make a cooking potion without opening the interface.

  • Fixed an issue with dinosaur leather not being recognized as usable against a portable crafter.

  • Removed [ph] item from the GE.

  • Corrected an issue where the Content Recommendation System could display a blank Latest Quest.

  • Players are no longer able to use the lockers in Rimmington if they haven't been unlocked via partial completion of the Rocking Out quest.

  • Hatchets now correctly give four components per bar used in the making of them when disassembled.

  • A worn Zamorak insignia will now stop Zamorak's forces attacking you within God Wars Dungeon 1.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed a large number of broken/degraded items to be equipped via the bank.

  • The Prosper perk from the Invention skill now states which level of clue you obtain when it activates.

We also hope you enjoyed the changes we've made to the Patch Notes this week! We're looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

    Catch you next time!

Very nice new layout, but... "Semi-active miners were unintentionally impacted by a change to AFK mining rates"? This had to be pre-planned so it was indeed intended!

I don't know why this had happened as it did, but it actually was never announced so - it always had been announced at least to be solely as a nerf for fully afking the whole thing.

No matter what - that happened now - just in time for the dxp weekend.

Mining being such a tedious joyless skill there really ought to be an option to afk it, there really is no need to penalise anyone for wanting to afk it, it deserves to be afk'ed. But with that said excellent to see that they caved in to player pressure to somewhat partially restore it.

Hey, have a good dxp weekend and happy 'scaping

Lucky for me I haven't mined at all since the update so I didn't notice anything!

You wanted to make the patch notes less formal? Not sure what definition you are using, so I am expecting it to be replaced by patch note memes in the coming weeks.

It is amusing that you have asked for suggestions, since this is intended to be a way for you to relay information related to game fixes. Should I send my suggestions as bug reports?

    Also amusing:

    >"What’s going on here? Don’* Patch Notes belong at the END of the newspost?"

To be honest, I didn't even realize there was anything else in the newsposts. Since I haven't read your weekly copy and paste in about 2 years. Are you implying that you write all that every week, and that it actually changes??

    YOU BREAK THE GAME AGAIN.

Where is my Nature's sentinel outfit?, Where's my Volcanic trapper outfit?, i can't find them. When i try to use the "Retrieve all outfit pices" in Diango's item retrival don't work. When i try to retrieve my silver athlete's gloves the system say "you already own that!", and don't give me the item. I can't retrieve the Lumberjack outfit too. Do you break the Diango's item retrival system in various diferent places, you dont check you bug's fixing system?. It's not a rule in software development when you fix a bug don't intruduce new ones?.

I'm scared to destroy my master farmer outfit (or any other item from the diango's retrieval system) because I don't know if I can get it back. I'm scared to begin moving my items from diango's retrival system to my bank because i will finish my space in my bank.

You said: "No one likes encounter bugs when they play, so each week we do our best to squash as many as we can! ", are you sure you don't want to say "We like our player encounter bugs when they play, so each week we do our best to introduce as many as we can! "?

FIX THEGAME ASAP. you are adversely affecting the time and efficiency of the players.

Message when Super prayer renewal potion ends was removed too, bring it back again.

    Von.

Lol to your last line, but sadly it’s true, along with the demise of BTS it much be much easier to print trash !

Still looking for the game update, but not seeing it unless the slime debacle was it. If it was then god help RS in the future.

The current state of this place is pretty similar to Minigames. Lol.
Feels like Jagex actually wants to let the forums slowly fade into oblivion :|
Loving Archaeology so far... it's so GRINDY :D
