Her apathy towards Mortal races is...disturbing, she would sooner curse us or destroy us than listen to our pleas, we were not her intention, but we are her (and the other Elder God's) creation! We are her responsibility, and instead of taking this responsibility she instead chooses to use or destroy us. She's like a bad parent. Nobody likes bad parents!

Saradomin

An arrogant human who, attempted to exterminate the Naragi because they wouldn't worship him, attempted to kill Me because I was doing my job as the protector of the Wand of Resurrection.
He is a self-righteous fool who cares only for the progression of his OWN power. You think a caring God would help with that nice big crater West of Lumbridge? Heck, you need only refer back to the Naragi to see who he truly is, and for what? So that people would worship him. He is human. That is all that needs to be said.

Zamorak

An interesting ideology, but, he is power-hungry, like Saradomin. He's just more honest about his methods than Saradomin. He is the usurper, had he not betrayed Zaros Gielinor would be thousands of years ahead of where it is now. Look at the Lodestone system, how long did it take Saradominist, Zamorakian, Armadylean and Guthixian mages to add a system which Zarosians already had working in Forinthy, several thousands of years ago that need I remind you; Still works to this day! Personal bias aside, his theory of chaos to promote progression is an interesting one, but with the larger threat of the Elder Gods at hand it will not matter who wins this pathetic second war of the Gods.

Brassica Prime.

He knows too much about the power of highly concentrated nutrients, the true nature of the Elder Artifacts cannot be unveiled lest the universe itself come to an end. The Cabbage of a thousand Truths was a sentence too much! Sliske too seems to have figured out this ancient power, with his use of the Spork of Salad to slay Guthix!

Well, Bandos is dead. Lucien is dead. Vanstrom Klause is dead.

So, who's left to consider the 'main' antagonist?

Not really sure. In the morally grey Sixth Age, it's hard to pick anyone who's clearly evil and is a truly horrible person and hasn't gotten their comeuppance yet. With Bandos gone, the remaining Young Gods are full of moral ambiguity, and it's hard to tell just why Sliske does what he does.

There's the Dragonkin, who showed us a terrifying vision of the future if we don't somehow stop them. But it's been established that they destroy and kill because they're bonded with the Stone. Were they not, they wouldn't be quite as dangerous.

As for the Elder Gods, yes the whole 'wake up and such Gielinor dry' thing is something be concerned about, but they seem beyond the concepts of 'good' or 'evil'.

Zemouregal? He's still largely a wannabe, and hasn't really done much outside of enslave Arrav and attack Varrock.

So yes, it's hard for me to pick an antagonist that'd be on the level of those I mentioned in the first paragraph.

I get chills whenever I'm going to see Zanik and have to pass the chef.

Brrrr. My unsatisfactory reward for making a royal cake boils my blood.

When it comes to the Duke's cake this year, don't question where the rat poison slipped in from.

If I'm talking about my character, Lord Drakan. He's scared of haemalchemy because it could free vampyres from their chaining social structure (in which he holds the power), and, of course, I'd love nothing more than to see Hallowvale restored to its Saradominist glory (though it'd undoubtedly take time, or one hell of a new paint job by the Council).

From an overall lore standpoint, I see Zaros as the main antagonist. Let's just say that when his plan fails, either because he cannot obtain elder godhood (unlikely) or he does, but the Elder Gods ignore him (more likely), I hope we have a backup ready.

I have no real antagonist.

I am the antagonist.

(Well, actually, anybody who gets in my way is my antagonist. But I can't blame them.)

Even though I'm playing the good guy for the most part, I'm really curious how far they're willing to go with that route.

You, potentially: You're a fool, Guthix, I will use this power to strive for godhood myself!

For the option to oppose Guthix, I imagine that, if they seriously go through with letting you become the villain, it would be a part of the stories surrounding Sliske's contest.

Well, the RuneFest reveals include some more details about the Zamorak Heist, the Elder God quest, the 200th Quest, and finally, a World Event where it's a free-for-all against Tuska!

Yeah, considering how Tuska is going to be going all over the world, supposedly, I wonder how the requirements will be handled.

Unless they just make it so that Tuska only goes around the F2P area.

That would be a bit odd. Oh no, watch out for the rampaging bestial-God Tuska! She's just obliterated Taverly and Burthorpe, but conventiently stopped before hitting Catherby!.

I'm wondering if this would be a P2P WE, though I suppose disincluding F2P would also make it quite strange when they witness the aftermath of Tuska...despite the fact they'd have never seen her do any of it. I'm curious how this'll be worked out, and I fear that they will only have her assault F2P areas, which really takes away from the entire-world-is-at-risk-of-obliteration motif they seem to want the event to encompass.
