Hello;

I have been trying to get my childhood account back, I think it was hacked at one point however my main issues are with the recovery questions (I don't remember 2 of them) and membership details (my old man did not keep the email from 2004ish). I remember the login name and have tried the recovery thing but would like to get in contact with someone who can help, i'm willing to email a pic of my drivers license which would show both my address (still living at home at 30... rip the economy) and my name, which is one of the recovery questions (mind you, I have a very unique name, also the same as my dad's name who originally got me the membership back when I was in grade school).

I think my account was hacked at one point as well because I remember looking my character up on the high scores over a decade ago and having skills I did not level.

I understand if i'm asking the impossible, just a bit of nostalgia and I think it would be quite cool to get my childhood account back, if I would use it as my main or an alt I don't know yet as i'v gotten this account up a good bit in the last month since I came back. If anyone can help or point me in a direction to help that would be much appreciated.

Hi there
SolLeksus

Don't sweat the recovery questions. Having 3/5 is a lot better than most people can do.
Recovery questions are not checked until the 2nd stage of recovery so, if you are getting a super fast 'deny' (in under 5 minutes), they won't have been checked yet.

Membership information: not having a card number or a transaction Id is also pretty standard for very old account recoveries. As long as you can say who paid, how they paid and what postcode and email was entered along with the payment and, as long as you are supplying this information about the earliest payments made, it is still useful information.

Creation location: If you are still living at the creation location make sure to say so in the other comments box. That alone is a very strong piece of evidence but, once again, the other comments are not checked until the 2nd stage of recovery.

Submitting an image of your drivers licence is not something Jagex will accept, even though it backs up some other information.

It sounds to me like you might be getting stuck on the 1st stage of recovery and not getting your form through to the 2nd stage.
If you are getting a super fast deny (less than 5 minutes) it means the form has not passed the 1st stage.

Passwords: it is essential to supply at least one correct old password to pass 1st stage. If you don't supply any correct passwords it is an auto-fail.
Have you been able to come up with any passwords?

Thank you for your reply.

Yea, I remember a few of my old passwords and have entered them in. I am getting stuck on the under 5 min denial. I have put in basically everything else you had noted. I have tried 2 of my old passwords, the oldest "general use" passwords that I used as a kid and I am 90% sure one of them is one of the original passwords I used. I will try again here and see if I have better luck.

Do you by chance know what the original passwords needed? like a length or character requirement? I originally made that account in classic when you would make your account right on the login page to give a time frame.

yep, the password I used was in a foreign language lol. I wonder if there was a max length back then that I just did not know of and if so I would have used a shorter version of the password I think of.

I sent in a support ticket and hopefully they will be able to help me there.
