Dimension of the Damned <- this here sounds very similar to my idea I put forth a while back when we use to put ideas in and people voted for them, can't remember the name of it now...

Is that the zombie, alternative realm thing that Jagex are promoting?

I think it's a quest and yes to zombies
and maybe it's in Draynor area

Hmm, I thought it was more like an event. Over in a short time? But I'll check it out later. Too interested in the Seahawks/Colts atm. (Seahawks ftw)

Have a great weekend everyone.

I've been busy last few days planting 100's of bulbs in my garden. So in Spring they will look nice if they all flower. :P My green fingers are not that good these days and neither is my glass back. :(

Photos to follow in Spring lol. :P

As long as we don't have to wait til spring for you to post again, okay! Can't wait to see the flowers. =)

And belated Happy Halloween, Tufters. =)

Absolutely brilliant as we just found out that Australia has voted YES for marriage equality! It only took us 4 years longer than most of the world, but we did it, finally! :D

Grats!! But I don't think you are behind the rest of the world. Unfortunately, there are still many states and countries yet to catch up. And even the countries that have progressed so far still have battles to fight.

Someday, long after I'm gone, I hope that this is a battle that no one remembers even having to fight. When we all just love and accept each other. =)

Hello! I'm new! To these forums I mean. Played RS way back forever ago in my formative years. I made a new character recently tho, and I feel like to get the best experience I should get involved everywhere. So I'm here! Monologuing all these words in my head as I type them. It feels like talking into space. I wonder if there's an echo tho? That'd be neat. I'm now reading all of these words with an echo. Are you too? Neat.

Thanks Yusou, Twillow, Tuffty and Wynd. And everyone again for your support.

I have been wanting to install NXT for a long time, but with all the problems I hear about I'm glad to wait. With Legacy performing beautifully for me, I really don't want to go back to the old days when the lags and crashes were real.

I don't know if Jagex will be able to convince us all to switch unless they close Legacy. And if they do that, who knows what we'll experience. Maybe it will be so bad or amazing it will bring life back to the forums. =p

Because I feel the humans minus dairy farms and a few other individuals like yourself possibly enjoy it.

Even prior to retiring you possibly walked your dogs before and/or after work? Wasn't it more enjoyable in daylight rather than dark. Coming home from work winter time, by the time you get home it may very well be dark already.

I just hope they never ever remove it or just don't change it back, keep it at the daylight saving 52 weeks of the year.

This may be a factor of where you are located on the earth. As north of the equator as I live, I don't find daylight savings to be of any benefit. And as far as hours of the day go, you can adapt. If you have one less hour of sun, you learn to live with it. One more hour of sun isn't going to affect your Vitamin D unless you have a severe deficiency. I think we would be better off globally to eliminate DST and adapt to the new system.

If it's an Android phone, at least you can plug it into your computer and pull the photos off that way. Plus side is, plugged in....it'll be on so you can transfer them off. iPhones can do the same too now that I think about it.

Oh my gosh! I haven't seen you post for a million years! Or at least a really long time.

I remember playing RS when i was younger but then stopped for many years, when i wanted to get back into many places online said the game was dead but i got back into it anyway. over the past week or so i have meet so many players that are just friendly and helpful, like this one guy role-playing as a homeless dude in Lumbridge who tought me a good method of making money, another ine was today when in Menaphos i was squashing beetles when i was low on health and asked a stranger if he could spare some healing iteams and he gave me 6 Bealtfish.
by what i have sean so far this comunity isint dead at all and fulled with great people and i want to thank you for the great time.

Welcome Jack! You are right they're are a lot of wonderful friendly people playing RS that like to help newbies. But please be aware that some are just out to scam you and know how to groom you if they know you're new. Don't give anyone, no matter how nice, your personal info. If they are really just nice people they won't ask for that. If they do, just put them off and keep your info confidential.

Someday if you are successful, you can help another newbie get started and that's the best and only payment a true friend would want. =)

Krystelle, I've seen this plea before. I hope that we can all just be friends and put our past differences aside and accept each other's foibles.

I wonder what this generation of kids are going to grow up like, all you see is kids on devices. Yound kids with pc's already in there bedroom. Out and about kids on tablets or phones, to keep them amused I suppose? Trips in cars kids most probably have devices instead of playing car games. Hopefully it's less than what I see. But I do wonder want our young children are going to grow up like or what that generations going to be called.

Sounds like my kids. My son was one when he learned by watching me how to load games on the Commodore 64. They had their own pcs when they were young, DS' and Gameboys and PS' and Gamecubes. They had a dvd player in the car and we outfitted the car with adapters for their laptops. They had cell phones too. They also had books, lego's, kites, bikes, skates and scooters.

They were straight A students who got scholarships to college, got Bachelor's degrees and became software developers, got jobs and paid off their student loans immediately. My daughter built her own pc from scratch and it's still working 4 years later. They are taxpayers who vote, aren't gender-phobic, aren't racists and don't judge people by their looks or religion.

My point, most kids today will turn out just fine. I don't know why the older generations look down on the younger ones but usually the younger ones do just fine if not better.

I know migraines are weird and horrible. I get them and my sister, aunt, son and daughter do as well. My daughter gets 'silent' migraines which are debilitating yet surprisingly not very painful. My sister and son are completely unable to function. I've had 'aura' which is a signal and if you take meds as soon as you recognize it, you can pretty much bypass it. But I've had a three day migraine and was unable to get out of bed.

Glad your migraine isn't totally stopping you from functioning Dong and hope tomorrow it is gone.

You will have all the quests still available on rs3 and on old school rs. I'm very sorry classic is shutting down. Not for myself, I never could get much progress on it, but for the people who loved it.

I think Jagex is making a stupid mistake closing it down because it wasn't really costing them anything and it won't farm classic's players over to the current game if they're not already players.

But unfortunately, Jagex is run by new management that only cares about cash inflow. I myself don't feel obligated to support the new management and am looking sadly at the future. If the game continues to be the game I've been a member for the last decade, then I will hang in there. But if it's head is on the block, I will mourn it and move on. Don't see how the new management profits, but yeah.

I'm sorry to hear Alfie is having trouble with the carpeting. Hope he/she gets used to it soon. Although pets are individuals and can have issues with stuff that never resolve. I'm sure you won't have that problem, tho.

Like your sister, I have a 'thingy'. Actually two 'thingys'. And also fake wooden floors, aka laminate. I have terrific fun watching them run but not go anywhere because of it. Or slide around corners. The funniest time (which I didn't get on camera cuz I was freaking out) was when my sweet thingy found a mouse running around my house. He was a hero keeping a keen eye on it whilst I was screaming. But at one point he spotted it and tried to chase it, but his little paws just kept running in place like a cartoon. Even though I was too traumatized to appreciate it at the time, I still remember his valiant efforts and how I should have been laughing instead of screaming at a pitch too high for even dogs to hear.

Hmm, a dog that eats my books and rugs or a thingy that makes an odd sound while trying to save my life from a mouse.

Guess I'm on your sister's side with this one. :P

Just a quick question... On reddit, which I haven't used yet, do you write a long, well thought out and deliberate post just to have it not post because you've timed out?

Cuz, seriously tired of having that happen.

And maybe I should finally give up on the forums?

I took advantage of this weekend to get some Menaphos rep. I doubt I've been there since the first few weeks. But it was decent xp and I tried to do everything for a bit. Hunting plovers was ridiculous xp even if you don't get loot.

But on RU nobody had one thing to say. Not good, not bad, bug reports. No one even bothered to go there it seems.

My feeling is the xp should be what it was this weekend and then maybe people would check it out more often.

Of course, it could be everyone else maxed their rep and it's just dead content?

Aside from that, I watched your videos of Alfie and Billy, Tufty. They are sooo cute. I thought it was hilarious Alfie had a British accent, but it seemed to me Billy just had a regular bird accent, lol!

WE NEED A POH UPDATE!

Nothing about the Poh has me coming back and lets be honest with ourselves... who here can say they have a shack with maybe some telly or portals? the house has become nothing of importance yet the skill is still only relevant to the max cape. Aside from that what glory is there in the dead skill and POH?

Well, I can't say I'm educated in this subject. But it's pretty obvious construction is a lost art. I don't disagree with what you're saying but I need more info to make any constructive criticism.

They are priceless :P

Same cats, same breed, may look the same. But each has its own unique personality. They can't be priced in the first place.

There are people who wouldn't trade their ugly old dogs for a rare dog breed of thousands of dollars.

Where I live adopting a pet costs money. They don't just hand them out. You have to be checked out much like adopting a child and you have to pay for their shots, spaying or neutering and other costs before you are allowed to adopt. So regardless of their priceless worth, you still have to cough up some money just to get them. Not to mention food, clothes, collars, gates, seat belts, medicines, beds, blankets, treats and toys. Which all pets deserve regardless of their origin.

So possibly Dong's kittens were rescues because that sounds like a rescue price. But you pay a price for rescues. I know.

I'm not starting an argue with you, but you have to know unless you find a rescue on the side of the road, you have to pay a steep cost to adopt one.

After only one bite and the product is bad, you take the whole shebang back to the store and tell them. Either they'll refund your money, give you store credit or a new batch. If not, stand there loudly complaining about their product and the service and you'll get very fast service, lol!

I'm with Jeremy on this one. I'm not one for causing a ruckus on a product I'm trying. When it comes to trying foods and all. It may be something you'll love it could be something you detest. If it was made properly it's not the stores fault you found it revolting. The next customer could taste it and think it's heavenly. As to Baklava I've never had a piece of it that I've ever enjoyed. Every time I try it I self wonder how people love it so much I always feel as if I'm choking it down. It's why everyone's taste buds differ. Ironically your tastes change every 7 years stuff you find gross you may learn to love and stuff you love you can find revolting. One day maybe I can appreciate the stuff.

Well if it was only a couple of bucks maybe, but for $11 it should be good. But if he's trying it for the first time and decided he hated it, yeah then okay I guess it's on him, lol.

I barely post in the forums, but at least 40% of the times I either post in threads that are locked at the instant I post, a few seconds later or I'm logged out just as I post.

No wonder the forums are down to 2 current active users. JK there are actually 18 people active right now.

18 people on all the forums. =(

Now to my reason for posting.

Wanted to say goodbye to a friend quitting. But missed the chance. I wonder why there's only 18 people on the forums?

I know quitting threads aren't allowed. Lots of other stuff gets allowed including trolls, bots and "I'm banned for no reason".

If my friends don't see me on the forums, I haven't quit. And if I quit I'm not gonna announce it. I'm not gonna make a RS is dying thread.

You'll just see the active user number go down again.

Yeah I think waiting for a guide seems like the best idea. There seems to be a lot of aggravation caused by the lack of info on how to get started. At least by the threads on the forums anyway.

Still, the amount of posts on cleaning up the pens is well, not motivating.

Hello, such friends, a very warm greeting to all of you, I am writing to you because I am a fan of this game that I fell in love for a while ago that in 2014 it was decided to close the Spanish language servers because this was not profitable for the company now. I am part of the Spanish-speaking community. The truth is that sometimes it takes me a world to translate their native language. It has been a long time since the technological point of view. Communities have evolved and thought have also totally changed paradigms. of communication and management of payments and electronic commerce a lot is the advance of access to data in the network and technological barriers have been over since then and online games are something so trivial and necessary for this new generation of users like eating and breathing now I ask my question CASE YOU HAVE NEVER THOUGHT IN GIVING BACK THE STEP TO GET OUT IN SPANISH LANGUAGE YOUR JEWELS FROM THE CROWN "RUNESCAPE OLD SCHOOL AND RUNESCAPE 3" maybe in the past it was not the most opportune or appropriate moment for some reason but of something if I am very sure and this is the ideal time to win again many more followers and strengthen the market they already have covered in their hands, greetings my dear friends.

I didn't realize that Jpalmar1. That makes no sense to me. But even though growing your company throughout the whole planet and letting us all have fun together seems like a good business plan, Jagex has never been that smart or inclusive. And now they're actually owned by another country, China.

Whether China has something to do with closing the Spanish servers or Jagex itself does, really doesn't matter. The people that control the business make their own stupid decisions and have to live with them. But the people that support them (the players) don't matter to them in the least.

Ooooh has anyone noticed the new blue border posts? There's one here in General, =p.

In other news, I saved my Yorkie's life tonight whilst he was choking on a bit of pork skin. He tends to eat and swallow fast, the better to go steal his brother's food.

To repay me for this kindness, he almost kills a baby possum. I did check the yard first but the baby must have been hiding and made a run for it when the dogs found him. I was so distraught but I told my husband lets wait a half hour to give him time to recover. And he was gone so I'm crossing my fingers he wasn't too hurt.

I think I'm done with Yorkies. Even though they're the most adorable creature ever invented. And the cuddliest. And the most sensitive, sweet and funny.

But no I'm done. Seriously. Done.

Maybe. =p

The latest mass shooting was in Thousand Oaks where my brother and his family live. The restaurant is not far from them. So they heard the sirens and helicopters. Unfortunately, they know some of the people that work there and haven't heard if they're okay yet.

Well it just gets worse. My brother and SIL lost two friends in the shooting. They spent the day cooking food and bringing it to the police officers investigating the shooting. Then they went to pick up my nephew from school. He told them he had a school event he wanted to attend so they went to get a bite to eat and wait for him. In the meantime a small brush fire bloomed from a few acres to thousands heading right toward Thousand Oaks. They are cut off from their son.

As I write this, they're still waiting to go get him. They're hoping the wind blows the fire away from them.

I will let you know what happens, but I'm hopeful they and all their neighbors are going to be safe.

Thousand Oaks is a special town and it doesn't deserve this day.

Edit: My brother and his family are reunited and safe! Hopefully everyone else is too.
Everyone in the world. <3

Well my brother and his family were evacuated from their homes last night in the middle of the night because the fire was headed straight for them. They spent the night in a parking lot in their car and some friends had them over for the day.

They made it back home just now and their home and neighborhood are safe. Whew what a nightmare!

Oh he just texted that there's still a fire watch in effect. =(

First time is the worst time.

My 1st time was when waiting at traffic lights, when up in Nottingham. A car decided it was going to pull up to wait along side me, in the same lane (which is against traffic regulations), and the person in the passenger seat decided they were going to get out of the car (also against regulations), and didn't seem to register that I was there, despite looking right at me.

They forced the door out into me, knocking me over, and trapping me under my bike, which became wedged underneath their door. They then proceeded to get out, stepping onto my back wheel, and giving me looks as if they thought I was deliberately being awkward, and getting in their way/ The driver then flamed me for scratching the bottom of their door, and told the passenger to hurry up and close it - which they couldn't; so despite my protests, they started edging the car forward, which made matters worse, and dragged me along, which started tearing up my leg..

Not a great experience, and someone else turned up offering to use their jack to lift the car - the driver refused this, and carried on, at which point a couple of other blokes turned up and started rocking the car to get it free (without asking, or anything - it worked, but wasn't pleasant).

After it was free, it drove off, and everyone dispersed, I was left trying to get out, with cars driving past way too close, with a fair few honking at me, or yelling unintelligible negatives (this was in a crowded place, and plenty of people walked by without offering any help).

It put me off riding my motorbike, for long journeys (though I still use a pedal-bicycle for them, sometimes), as it's a lot harder to deal with problems like that, if you've got a long way to travel, and are unable to ride (both bike and leg were not in fit state).

Sorry this happened to you. =(

No everyone is not some Hallmark version of themselves, but we (so far) do our jobs and like each other. It's disheartening to hear it's so much different where you live, Fifi. Especially because here in America we keep hearing how much better it is there.

I am not saying our current moderators are bad. Not one tiny bit. I believe we need more, or we need to know how unimportant the forums might really be.

I love the forums, I read a ton of material in here. Although I choose wisely when Id like to comment, I always hope its for the best of Runescape. I still read and achknowledge many players' posts. Are turkeys quite cheap where you live FiFi? As in my neck of the wood it's rather expensive 70NZ$ Or is that a treat dinner or celebration? I always associate Turkey with celebrations.

They aren't that expensive really, about £20 for a big one (I think that may be about 40NZ$?).

We buy 4 or 5 of them right after New Year when the shops are selling them off cheap and stash them in a chest freezer we've got in one of the sheds.

Works out we get a roast dinner, enough cooked meat to re-freeze for 2 stews later, and all the bits & pieces get bagged to make 3 good dinners for the dogs. A lot of bang for yer buck, with a turkey :D

(Yes, I'm a Scrooge, lol)

Nice! Turkeys are pretty pricey here off season. But even if they were affordable, it's a big meal to prepare. Do you just cook the bird or do all the side dishes?

Pork is super cheap here recently and we've been having feasts with roasts, chops and pork bellies. I never even tasted pork belly and now I'm hooked. I'll be sad when the prices go back up and it's back to chicken. =p

I should change my avatar pic since Valkyries is over.

I got 99 in Dung tonight. I knew I was close but still kinda pleasantly surprised. I've only ever done it solo (and stars and lamps of course!) I think I was level 30 before I ever stepped foot in the place, lol.

But now I'm wondering if I should do sinkholes and such. Like I've never even done the Thok sagas. Cuz I'd like to get 120 dung before I die, lol. So what do you guys think? Do I need the extra stuff or just keep doing floors?

Post talks about fixing the really unhealthy feeling that players must use social media to get any meaningful help.

Doesn't make a forum topic in any of the RSOF sections linking to this post to discuss it and only has the option to share the post with Facebook and Twitter.

Is there really that much of a lack of self awareness among the team?

Yep.

I did find it equal parts frustrating and amusing, tho.

I have all the auras and I never use them.

I think you can get by for the most part without them and I find them to be a big pain in the butt actually.

I also never used the premier artifact. I just want to play and have fun.

But I suppose for bosses they are mandatory. I doubt I'll ever do bosses, but maybe in five years or so, I might be ready.

Still think I can do without auras though.

Yeah dad buys me things I need not what I want. I needed new quality shoes because my old ones have holes in the sole and the front toe part.

That's not good for the health of your feet. If you want to keep being able to use your feet in the future good shoes are a need. Hopefully, you won't have to wait until there are holes in your new shoes before replacing them.

Ooooh! What job is it?

(Congrats on it, anyway).

If your feet are hurting that bad, might be worth looking into some heavy duty in-shoe supports, the sculptured type, so you don't end up with Plantar fasciitis.

I had that in one foot years ago and holy crap did it hurt.

I agree with Fifi that orthotics might help a great deal. I had PF in both feet and needed surgery. The doctor made custom fit orthotics (in-shoe supports) and they made a big difference.

Glad you are enjoying your job apart from that. =)

Thank you Molly, the reason i asked is because in the last few months i have been slightly tipsy at times while online and apparently some so called friends got a little offended by my actions "mainly by me being too overprotective" and possibly freaking them out a bit.

I don't judge people's pizza toppings. And pineapple is one of the most delicious pizza toppings with or without other toppings.

But olives with the other 6? I'm on the fence. Since olives have such a strong flavor I think they would clash. But Krystelle knows best.

Pineapple and olive? Idk if I would be brave enough to try it.

Someone decided to drive their truck through our shopping mall yesterday!

Luckily no one was injured. Although most malls are dead this one is quite popular and always busy. It could have been much worse.

But the driver was either on drugs or mentally ill. But there hasn't been an update on it yet. My husband and I go walking there often so it's scary to think of being there for that. :(

Also this trailer definitely confirms the leak I read of the plot a while back, so do NOT look at anything on the internet related to leaks for this movie if you don't want to be spoiled!

These Huskies became popular from the Twilight movies and the TV show Game of Thrones and people found them hard to look after - what a sad story for these lovely dogs - it's a shame people don't research dogs and there behaviours and needs before getting them.

I loathe people who do this :(

Any time someone I know talks about getting a husky I give them a biiiigggg lecture about how much work goes into having them, they need pretty much CONSTANT attention and lots of walks. Not for everyone, but god are they loyal and cute <3

I never knew they were hard work until I looked them up just before - as they are adorable dogs I can see people wanting them - but you need to research all dogs have different needs and some are so much easier than others, with better nature too.

I have two rough and tumble boys, so if I ever get a dog they will need a placid, strong and good natured dog <- that's for starters.

My niece is a husky breeder and her dogs are lovingly raised and homed. I think they are so beautiful and sweet tempered but I know they are beyond my ability. She offered to give us one in April, but I know my limits. If I didn't, I'd have a zoo in my backyard, lol.

Dong, a good natured, strong dog for children is most likely a retriever. But if they are too rough and tumble, it's best to wait til they're ready to treat their pets with care. Or start them with pets that require a gentler touch like hamsters or hermit crabs. But I do think children do well to have pets!

Thanks for asking. A bit freaky. Test was borderline where doctors were recommending heart pump or heart transplant. I declined for now. Both options just seem weird. Doctors altered meds and I am feeling much better. I would like tests repeated before taking just drastic action.

Oh man! Yeah I don't blame you for being cautious. I hope you don't need a transplant Dad. Glad you are feeling better though and hopefully keep improving.
