Hi I have been interested in programming something that can track grand exchange data and have worked on it a bit but I have noticed a issue that has cropped up. I have discovered that I cannot find any API or easy to access data on OSRS Grand Exchange? I know it is possible for such data to exist since I have seen it on other websites I investigated such as OSBuddy. So I am wondering where does this data get sourced from? If anyone has information on this thank you for the help!

Wait so what you mean is the users of the various softwares such as OSBuddy is tracking their data in order to find information on the grand exchange? If so that's very unfortunate for someone like myself, if that's the only way.

Pretty sure. I believe GE Tracker uses the APIs from Osbuddy and maybe runelite now that it's the only relevant client.

Yes, the Old School Grand Exchange pages provide an API. If I recall correctly, it matches the RuneScape one exactly as described on https://runescape.wiki/w/Application_programming_interface#Grand_Exchange_Database_API , just with a slightly different endpoint.

In the URLs on that page, wherever it says "itemdb_rs", swap it for "itemdb_oldschool". I just quickly tried one or two of the endpoints and they looked to return the correct data.

For reference, the URL I used for that was: http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_oldschool/api/catalogue/detail.json?item=50

Good luck with your programming project. :)
