i am more than happy to pay a small price increase to help this game continue. how about you guys at jagex really start developing the game and adding worthwhile new content for the players supporting you. i mean menaphos was a bloody joke, slayer 120 (while i appreciate the level cap raise) was a bloody joke and lacking any substantial content (not even a new slayer master) to be honest in my personal opinion other than the samll clue scroll rework i can not remember an update that really got me hyped to explore new things being added to this game. the eastern lands stuff eh i could take it or leave it it was just a slightly different way to do more of the same and the list could go on.

If I'm on a 12 month subscription and it ends, will I be able to buy 12 months again for the same (lower) price again?

Or is grandfather rate only for monthly renewals (ongoing membership).

The grandfathered rate should still be there for future regular memberships if your membership doesn't lapse

However, special memberships like premier club may be more expensive

This is absolute bullcrap.
I pay $15 a month for World of Warcraft subscription, a top of the line, cutting edge MMO.
But you want me to pay $11 a month for an almost 20 year old game?

No. What you want is for us to pay more to support the dead, garbage game that is RS3.

I've been a loyal player since 2003.
I've invited countless friends to this game and have thrown money at Jagex.

Delete RS3, nobody even plays it. You're wasting an entire Dev Team on a dead end game.
And i know first-hand as a java developer, there is zero increase of cost to develop for OSRS other than wages.

Today is the day that i quit forever and end this 15 year old relationship. I guess ill have to go join a server ran by a 14 year old who has better development and financial management skills than Jagex.

The ONLY way i'll be staying and paying my membership fees, is if i see some REAL development taking place on OSRS (nobody cares about RS3 dev, look at the player base, OSRS world 2 has more players than all of RS3) And we better get our damn OSRS mobile out.

Which by the way, nice job blowing that one! You couldve made hundreds of thousands of dollars by having $7 membership for a phone game that will/would take the world by storm, but now you want to charge $11? Yeah, dont expect Mobile to be as fruitfull as it couldve been.

Disgusting chinese overlords. Way to sell out Jagex. I've never seen a game fall apart so rapidly in so many ways, at so many different times.

also, if we're going to be paying the World of Warcraft rate,
CAN WE PLEASE! PLEASE! get some customer support!? You outsource your support to a forum full of players that answer questions, or a stupid close-ended "DiD tHiS HeLp YoU?" bullcrap support section that 9/10 times, DOES NOT HELP ANYONE.

If we get an actual support center, with you know, a live chat / ticket system, sure. I'll pay $30 a month.

But as far as it stands, this game is failing, and we will all soon be depending on a 14 year old's private server to sate our runescape needs, because Jagex is failing. AGAIN.

I think the price adjustments are due to the dwindling amount of players, all mini games are empty, back in 2006 most worlds that had deans were clogged also all the skill training spots, now it's like a ghost town. Jagex inc. I believe that dripping the price back to $5/ month will attract more players therefore creating more revenue. Specially when the mobile version comes out, I don't want to play in ghost town worlds. Gets boring.

Not a fan of price increase, but if jagex charges more, I hope they plan on advertising to gets tons of new players to play.

It probably seems like a ghost town because the world is a lot bigger than it used to be, so players are very spread out whereas they were not so much before
