If you block those names, they'll just come up with something else. That's a trend that's been in place for as long as RuneScape has been around.

Jagex has experimented with blocking certain phrases in names (if I remember right, primarily with phases connected with racism) - the issue is its global, so if the phrase is contained ANYWHERE in the name, the name is blocked - if roll was blocked for example, "Stroller" wouldn't be able to be used as a name. The forums saw a number of complaints of people not able to reclaim their old names when that happened. I'm not sure if any are still in place right now, but I can see at least the word 'roll' causing potential issues.

Reporting does work - Jagex does review the reports sent in and will remove the accounts from play. I think you'll likely find that they are being replaced as soon as they are banned, so its a never ending battle, but Jagex does continue to work to removing them from the game. So please do continue to report these accounts.

All you can do is report them. I believe it should be against the rules to trade them, as well. It's technically encouraging rule-breaking. If they never made money doing it, there would be no need for them. Every time I visit the GE I find myself sending at least 5 reports for roll bots, gamble bots, website advertisements, it's extremely annoying. discord: lo#7752

How are they able to replace gamble bots so quickly? Don't they need a large amount of money to do the occasional payout?

Reporting them for player-run games of chance is a good idea if they're advertising, hosting, or participating in games of chance. Sometimes they advertise discord servers, which could be reported under advertising websites as well.

I've found they tend to get muted/banned within a few hours, so it's definitely worth reporting them. It's a continual battle since they just make more accounts, but the situation has improved over the years.

Perhaps a stickied thread could be posted on this forum, so that we can report them in bulk. It could function similarly to the macroing report form. I'm unsure of the efficacy of this idea, since I imagine high level bots take longer to replace than games of chance bots.
