It's also worth nothing that there kind of already IS a reformed Guthix walking around. Namely, The Memory from Ports. She's not actually Guthix, but she still possesses many of his memories, even if her personality, appearance and even gender are different.

She's probably as close as we're ever going to get to having Guthix back, excluding abominations like GIelinor, which only physically resemble Guthix. You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?
