Maybe he wants to be able to banish the gods, like Guthix did? With Guthix's blessing of god magic immunity, and Sliske's "mastery" of Shadow magic and overall power. Maybe he thinks he can find a way to make us into a living conduit to channel an energy similar to the barrier of the Edicts?
On the other hand, it is possible I have this backwards. Maybe he doesn't want our soul for his soul, maybe he wants it for somebody else? Maybe his "master" needs a new body, and our body needs to be more compatible to the Master?
It's so interesting to think.. why does he want us to be more like him?

Maybe he wants our ability to cheat Death so that he can do something that will get him killed, but then he can just respawn? Of course, he references the fact that, after being crushed by the falling rocks, we would wake up in Lumbridge.. which means we still have that power, unless he was trying to tell us that's what he wanted. I think his words are being taken too seriously, he's saying a little bit of the world Guardian essence is gone, he means our soul, not the power, but I do like this theory, but I do think his word is being taken a bit too serious.
There is also the way Raven spoke in the Lore FC when we mentioned about Sliske taking part our soul.
"Oh Sliske has a part of the World Guardian's soul? Well I'm sure that can't lead to anything terrible."

Why would he say World Guardian instead of player? Why the obvious ominous foreshadowing? This is Raven we're talking about, everything he says like this is blatant spoilers mired in subtlety.
The only thing he could want our soul for would be to either power something that needs a soul, or for something that is special about our soul.. that being that we're the World Guardian.
