We might not have much information right now, but I was watching the Runefest live stream and when talking about the end game Mod Mark said that Zaros may not survive and that it was up to us?

This is very interesting and I wanted to know what everyone thought about this, if given the chance will you kill him? Honestly I would make sure he would die so that Sliske can reign unopposed as lord of shadow realm, but that's just me!

If he does not die at the end game as that mysterious line alludes too, do you think Bik will crush him? I'm very interested to see what happens with him soon!
You will learn that even the gods walk in darkness, and only Sliske knows the way.

Hazeeling gods is the worst decision they could take the story in.

You're free to hate any god you like, weaken them, demean them, call them any hurtful name your noggins can conjure, but when it comes with them permanently being erased from the game, they either die for EVERYONE like Bandos and V or they die for NOBODY.

And yes little Saradominists, this does extend to your god. I would not want to see Saradomin die unless it was canon for everyone who played though the quest that would result in it.

If you disagree, then you are clearly in the wrong line of interest here. God death itself is bad enough, but optional god death? Disastrous.

Edit: This posted just now on twitter by Osborne due to pretty much all of us who agree on the matter messaging him all at once about it. Crisis averted as far as I'm concerned, but it's still a valid point. A god dies for all, or doesn't die at all.

Edit:2 Shit how do I add images guys?

Ah I see now, thank you for clearing that up. It seems like Mod Mark worded that wrong I guess?

Player choice is the only way Gods should die off. Jagex just needs to time it well (at the end of their story) and handle post choice content better than they have done thus far. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Zaros will be Zanik'd.

He'll be killed off by player choice in Sliske's Endgame, brought back in Bik quest, and then killed off by player choice again.
You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?

I would prefer more choices like Nomad's Elegy. Gielinor is killed regardless, but the choice is about who does the killing. I would rather choose who gets to kill Zaros rather than choose whether Zaros dies or not, or even worse, making like a Jessika or Korasi where either he or someone else has to die. Besides, there's been so much buildup to Zaros' return. I'd rather we at least see how far the Elder God pillar can go before killing him off.

What makes you say that if I may ask?
