Alright, while I haven't finished Sliske's Endgame (I hate the 3v1 fight), so ignore this if this is actually answered later in the quest, but I wonder something about what Kerapac did. He destroyed the Stone of Jas, and I agree with how the unofficial wiki has put this, that this presumably means the dragonkin's curse has ended. Does the remainder of the quest touch on this? From what's been said, Jagex is interested in telling the Elder God story pillar next, and then the dragonkin, but what is even the point of the dragonkin pillar now?

Sure, we don't know what will happen to Hannibus, but if we're going to pick up from One of a Kind, that seems to be more related to Zaros' motivations to prove himself as an Elder God. Is the dragonkin curse really gone, or does it remain in some form? Kalibath still wants to kill Saradomin, and we met three new dragonkin during the quest (You know, even though Sakirth was the one who actually killed V, but I guess Sliske just sees the dragonkin as interchangeable), one of whom could either be killed or imprisoned. Do they still want to hunt the False Users?

Basically I'm wondering where the dragonkin are supposed to go from here.

Curse should be ended in my opinion, Stone of Jas acted as a whip to punish the Dragonkin and reason one of their members wanted to destroy it with usage of the mirror staff, basically destroying the stone by its own power.

Point of the Dragonkin pillar is that we still know very little about them and we could get into path of revenge, they are still presumably angry towards Jas to have had them cursed or simply learn more about their past for what they were.

I do find it a shame the curse to be ending this fast with little to no background tales, with so many questions players still might have about it, so I am all ears if there could be a creative way of still having the curse in place (like not fully gone).

The quest touches nothing about Dragonkins other than these facts;
1) They possess the Staff of Mirror which is another elder artefact
2) Member of Dragonkin destroyed the Stone of Jas to tiny little pieces.

That's it, nothing else is said about them so its all open for *sigh* more speculation.

Our good friend Papa Smurf has the answer.

Original message details are unavailable.
Saradomin: Still, without the stone what becomes of the Dragonkin now? This is not the end of the danger they represent, merely the beginning.

They're now even stronger than they were at the end of ROTM, have enough sanity to plan and strategise properly, and they still want to bring pain and terror to the small races.

We're fucked.

@Yarwed

There's also a cutscene you can get in the maze where Kalibath and 3 other dragonkin are bullying Armadyl who's trying to get them to team up with him promising to help cure them.

As for the topic at hand, you need to remember that each faction has its own goals.

1)They will try to attack and kill Jas, maybe the other elder gods as well since at runefest we were told that all of them were there during the dragonkin's binding.

2)They may try to use some sort of magic or science to start reproducing now that there numbers are few.

3)I'd say Zamorak and Saradomin are still at the top of their hit list for causing them so much pain.

4)We may look into trying to cure the mental issues that some of them have like we did in One of a Kind.

5)With Zaros being heavily involved in the elder god pillar, we may see some Dragonrider dragonkin overlapping here in the next 2 years.

Well I meant story wise, but it could very well lead to that.

At least they can't get any more powerful. Hopefully they're still "only" equivalent to a tier 5 god. But yeah half of them are insane from the pain and want to kill everyone, the other half are amoral sociopaths who like breeding monsters in their spare time. The Dactyl are still going to want to breed a successor race I assume, and the Necros are still going to want to bring terror and pain.

Would totally like to see what a potential Ilujankin would be like.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! The idea that they want revenge certainly stands out, especially against Jas, Saradomin, and Zamorak. I have been hoping that the Dragonkin storyline would continue to involve the False Users after Hero's Welcome, though I'm hoping they focus on Saradomin and Zamorak first. From the dragonkin's perspective, they'd be working their way up to Jas.

- just how powerful are the Dragonkin?
(yes, others brought this up)

- Dactyl vs Necrosyte schism?
Are they so divided now that there is a Civil War among the Dragonkin? especially without the pull of the Stone of Jas to give them some sort of common ground (sort of like how the Ritual gave Mahjarrat a warped sense of purpose and common goals, even if once every 500 years)?

- How will the Dragonkin approach the Elder Gods?
Will they seek vengeance? do they no longer care?

- How will the Dragonkin approach the other races?
for eons, the Dragonkin wiped out other races, and look down upon all other races.
without the Stone, will they continue to attack?
can they be convinced that we're merely not worth the effort to bother, especially since they've been freed from the Stone, they are now free to go off on their own pursuits?

- are the Dragonkin really "free"?
- they've existed for so long, tethered to the Stone, what happens now?
possibly a 2-fer. is it possible that without the Stone binding them, the dragonkins' functional immortality is revoked, and they will slowly begin to fade and die, just like the child races of Mah or the Illujianka?
is there a side effect to the Stone being destroyed by them? do they still have echoes of Jas in their minds compelling them to do things? do the still hear the call to "destroy false users"?
