Over a month having this issue, I don't know what else to do, can't afford to pay a VPN atm and I'm currently logged in from my university since I can't even log the website while being home.
Is there any solution to this? Just the previous year I started investing more time into my account and now this happens, I expect some solution is being worked on for all of us players that are having this annoying issue.
I first had this problem last weekend. It persisted for two days and I was thankful to find advice on this forum. After making a report on the support page I was able to login on Monday. The error has recurred on two occasions this week, but today I am again able to login. It really is frustrating and I wonder what is going on. If the problem repeats itself I shall send another report, but that is clearly not a permanent solution.
Thx @Asahel Frost. That sheds some light on the issue, although it's hard to understand then why the error message reads as it does. I did indeed change my ISP a few months back. Since I now have a much faster connection, there is little incentive to revert to the old one. It's a question of swings and roundabouts, I guess.
This is a bunch of nonsense. They did something new, the problem is on their end, and they don't know how to fix it. I got "too many login attempts from your address" message OR "You have been blocked from logging in, please try again later." What I have done to solve this is find a service that will let me piggyback on another IP address and that has solved the issue. But they really really need to fix this bug on their end.
I have to disagree @Xereena. At the same time I was having problems with RS, I was also unable to even open the login page at my bank. The support team said just the same as on this forum above. Following the advice received from @Asahel Frost I contacted my ISP and was eventually able to kind of reboot my connection. This seems to have solved all the problems. A VPN might have done that too, but I am pleased this worked out so well.
