~

Welcome! This thread is intended to catalogue small but meaningful ninja fixes to any piece of content the reader likes, in no particular order. Feel free to suggest and discuss!

The suggestions are broadly categorised as:
- Skilling: for all fixes directly related to training or using non-combat skills
- Combat: for all fixes related to monsters and their killing, as well as PvP and combat equipment
- Graphics: for all fixes related to the appearance of things
- Minigames and D&Ds: please refer to this thread instead
- Miscellaneous: for all other fixes

Since I hadn't reserved enough posts (as usual), the list of suggestions ends on page 2, but the thread contains many discussions that are interesting to read. Particular batches of ideas on pages other than the first two have been referred to in the list.

I'd like to thank Rikornak in particular for his contributions, as well as all others of course!

As of
page 40
(ish),
I have no more space to add suggestions, so from there onwards there's more delicious stuff in posts!

Reserving space here just in case.

Perhaps you're half right; perhaps we can't win. But we can fight.

Skills and training
- Add pork pies to the pie recipe book, after Bringing Home the Bacon.
- Increase the respawn rates for the various items in the Cooks' Guild.
- Tremendously increase the Hunter experience for handing in KGP agents to Jim.
- Increase Romily Weaklax's monetary reward for baking him pies, as well as giving a small percentage of additional Cooking xp.
- Move the Ardougne workbench to inside Cromperty's house.
- Allow ravenous locusts to teleport one to the Summoning obelisk south of Pollnivneach.
- Make Morytania legs 3/4 and master runecrafter skirts compatible.
- Remove the master runecrafter outfit from Rinsit's shop, or quintuple the price at least.
- Make the botanist's and factory outfits compatible.
- Add more interesting loot to Menaphite marketeers, and add some Menaphite guards to attack you when thieving from the lamp stall within the owner's sight.
- Turn cursed magic logs into corrupted rather than regular magic logs when exiting the Spirit Realm.
- Enable certain stackable consumables (e.g. thread, non-activated urns) to be carried in the pocket slot.
- Make the Menaphos cactus patch boulder quicker to mine (few seconds rather than few minutes).
- Remove the Lumbridge tree patch back to the crater.
- Allow higher Hunter levels to unlock a second and third simultaneous deadfall trap, or perhaps as a Heist reward.
- Extend the token refund upon destruction to more Dungeoneering rewards.
- Allow the zombie leprechaun to store all vines and more than 30.
- Allow sacks to be filled on Manor Farm hay bales.

- Allow butlers to be asked to bank and fetch something in the same action.
- Add a convert-all option to Lunar lumber.
- Allow storing the shark outfit in tackle boxes.
- Allow using bait while it is inside tackle boxes.
- Give the diary-locked range in the Cooks' Guild the bonuses of a portable range.
- Allow fire arrows to be fletched in greater quantities (see Combat section), either by having Koftik sell more damp cloth post-Underground Pass, or by allowing one to make it oneself, e.g. by using lantern oil on strips of cloth.
- Allow ice arrows to be created in greater quantities (see Combat section) post-Temple of Ikov, e.g. by using ice spells on adamant arrows. Rush would produce regular ice arrows (adamant stats), burst slightly stronger (rune stats), etc.
- Add a hidey-hole to the Poison Waste grapple shortcut.
- Allow runecrafting gloves to share the effect of the ethereal infinity gloves.
- Allow the ring of fire and First Age ring to share effects. Ditto First Age bracelet and flame gloves. (for cremation and Shades of Mort'ton)
- Allow flame gloves and botanist's gloves to share effects. (for herb burning)
- Ditto factory and botanist's outfit.
- Allow brawling gloves to share effects of relevant skill outfits (not the xp boost, but other bonuses, if applicable). Perhaps both items would have to be brought in the Wilderness.
- Increase Eluned's/Islwyn's prices for making tools; 1500 coins is nothing compared to 150 harmonic dust.
- Allow empty pots to be kept when brewing automatically.
- Allow Elnock to store jar generators.
- Add quicker ale fermentation as a Morytania diary reward.
- Add a third brewery to the Golden Scarab Inn.
- Allow (corrupt) Ancient Warriors' Equipment to (rarely) provide Ancient components.
- Allow rune god armour to give fortunate components, maybe not guaranteed.
- Make loyalty auras available from gameplay.
- Make dwarven stout boost rather than drain strength.
- Make Remote Farm work like OSRS's Geomancy.

- Grifolic and mystic wands and grifolic orbs devalue Mage Training Arena wands of the same level, by being so much easier to obtain. Slightly lower their stats by e.g. 5 lvls, or better yet, up the MTA wands' and the mages' book's stats to sit at niche tiers and give them useful (passive) effects. Other off-hands should be okay. See Rikornak's posts on page 3.
- Make Ahrim's wand and book, and Karil's pistol crossbows degrade.
- Make ganodermic boots and gloves, as well as grifolic boots, gloves and shields, degrade.
- Give the Dorgeshuun crossbow its special attack, Snipe, back, perhaps renaming to avoid confusion.
- Give the Rod and flail of Ivandis their special attack, Retainer, back.
- Make the cleaver from the Culinaromancer's chest equivalent (if not a bit better than) a rune scimitar again, and ditto for the meat tenderiser and rune warhammer.
- Allow the Shaikahan to be killed once more, using (kp) spears and hastae.
- Buff damage done by dragonfire to players without protection (up to e.g. 6500) and ineffective protection. Make some dragons aggressive, too.
- Have mourners on Arandar once more throw vials at players to drain all their stats and health to level 20.
- Make the max hit of the Temple of Light shadows 1300 again, up from 272, and their health 1500 up from 100.
- Buff the Pest Queen across the board, and make her body impassable for elite defilers again.
- Give swanky boots, silly jester boots and runecrafter robes their magic, and the gnome amulet its melee bonuses back.
- Make safety gloves a bit better, to sit between bronze and iron gauntlets.
- Reclassify Korasi's sword as a slashing weapon, and fix its attack animation in Legacy Mode (which is that of a pre-RSHD battleaxe/mace).
- Add all surge spells, Storm of Armadyl, Teleport Block, and Stagger to Borrowed Power.
- Allow lizards to use every combat style again; it can be switched in combat.
- Make the abyssal vine whip always poisonus again.

- Make Fremennik swords and shields on par with adamant rather than bronze gear again.
- Give Fist of Guthix shields their strength bonuses back.
- Make all slayer helms work on the Magister, and disable the effect of Tuska's Wrath on him.
- Boost the effect of Disrupt when Korasi's sword is used in combination with Jessika's; e.g. six rather than three lined up monsters are hit, and the damage is slightly buffed.
- Allow consuming Juju Gumbo without losing adrenaline once again.
- Remove stats from the law and omni-talisman staves so that they can be used on Entrana.
- Add back the defensive bonuses to defensive blackjacks and Jenkins's lucky cutlass.
- Boost the inoculation brace's protection to 5000 HP of poison damage to compensate for the poison buff. Anti-poison totems and the venomblood perk still negate being poisoned.
- Replace instances of disease (e.g. Jiggig, fever spiders, Scabarite Hive monsters and traps) with Constitution draining. Super restore potions would heal this at a much lesser rate than they restore other skills, whereas Relicym's balm would work much better.
- Buff the Seercull's stats to level 62 up from 52 when fighting mages, including in PvP.
- Add Claws of Guthix as a special attack to the void knight mace. Additionally, allow it to be upgraded to level 70 (and augmented) using commendations after TVSB, and allow one to toggle it between melee and magic, like the sunspear.
- Allow fire arrows to potentially inflict a burn (bleeding effect) on their target after Underground Pass. Allow dark fire arrows to be used in the quest to shoot the bridge.
- Allow ice arrows to potentially bind their target after Temple of Ikov. (see also Skills section above)
- Give fire arrows bonuses when used against ice strykewyrms and glacors, and ice arrows for lava strykewyrms.
- Make bolas off-hand weapons. Once again allow players praying against missiles or holding a slash weapon to halve the bind timer.

- Allow the Penance Master Trident to switch between melee and magic, like the Sunspear, and make it augmentable.
- Make the blurite sword on par with iron again, with an increased accuracy bonus.
- Substantially buff damage dealt by Vyrewatch tithings (10% of max health) and swamp decay. Also, Vyrewatch are bugged and don't actually tithe you when they land to do so.
- Make Vyrewatch consistently use Melee, and fix the bugged ones in lowest sector Darkmeyer.
- Make penance armour work correctly with EoC, in terms of class and stats.
- Give the following items their pre-EoC passive effects back
~ Royal crossbow (dmg starts lowl increases w/ time)
~ Sagaie (dmg/acc trade-off w/ distance)
~ Morphic shields (dmg reduction)

- Add a 50 HP bonus to the legends' cape.
- Allow the venomblood perk and antipoison measures to stack against living wyverns.
- Damage from failed pickpocketing should be a fixed value and not scale with health.
- Give the Helm of Neitiznot its superior strength bonus back.
- Give special attacks to dragon darts, throwing knives and axes, warhammers, hastae and javelins, (2h) crossbows and battlestaves.
- Lift the Birthright o/t Dwarves wielding requirement for relevant dragon weapons.
- Allow strykewyrms to be fought without an assignment, like lava ones. Hexcrests, focus sights and staves of light would be restricted to assignments, however, and you'd still need the Slayer shop reward to kill ice ones w/o a fire cape.
- Change wolpertingers' attack style back to magic, and restore their magic defence passive bonus.
- Return bonuses to rings of devotion, notably the superior prayer bonus.
- Boost (spiky) leather vambraces' stats to 8 armour, up from 5.
- Extend the lapis lazuli's brooch strength bonus to all styles.
- Make wooden shields hybrid.
- Make tormented, ripper, Kal'gerion and boss demons drop tortured ashes.
- Revert the abyssal whip's spec to either hit 0 or max hit

Graphics and animation
- Graphically update sandstorms from Shadow of the Storm to use sandnado graphics from the beach event.
- Fix the graphics for Lumbridge and Ullek swamp; make the water green again, return the muddy banks, add ground decoration.
- Update Sir Ceril's graphics during Ratcatchers.
- Give the Jogre and Lesser Demon champions unique graphics (for the latter, the champion from Battle of Lumbridge could work).
- Graphically update hobgoblins to look more agile and less fat.
- The guardians of the canopic jars in Icthlarin's Little Helper have terrible glitchskin. Buff their stats, too.
- Add the animation for using a soul phylactery (from Sizzling Summer 2012) as the Wildernes sword's teleport animations.
- Add a unique animation for teleporting with Tirannwn quivers.
- As of EoC, spells, arrows and other projectiles fly very, very fast and in straight rather than parabolic trajectories; this only makes sense for abilities. Make auto-attacks and all monster attacks, including summoning familiars, fly at the regular velocities.
- Fix the broken holding and fighting animations for all POH and Trouble Brewing banners.
- Have Agrith-Naar display his symbol on his chest once more, and ditto for Thammaron in Children of Mah.
- All animations for the Ivandis flail are completely broken, and Verac's flail looks rather more like a mace. If it's too much work to fix them in EoC with new animations, though, at least give Legacy the pre-EoC animations.
- Graphically update paladins and Knights of Ardougne using Sir Hugo's and Sir Edmond's armour, respectively.
- Repair the animation for Vulnerability.
- Add textures to the Graveyard Guardian's chathead.
- Revert Mr Pinsworth's graphics to his original rather than a Draynor banker's.
- Swamp Brother Tranquillity's zombie and human animations.
- Restore the animation for the Seercull's special attack, Soulshot.
- Fix the animation of Evil Tree fires.
- Fix Gadderanks's hammer on him.

- Give the GWD imps cool beards and add a few more Spiritual rangers for Zamorak.
- Make the green gem visible on the agile top when it is worn.
- Update Vestri to look like Austri with a split beard, conform the concept art for them from 2012.

- Add some new champions for Champions' Challenge, along with the next Champion of Champions. Please. Mod Maylea wants this. :)
- Add Mikasi, Nemarti, Cordero, Monlum, Finlay, Feoras, Yauchomi, Cadmus and Barb back to Lumbridge, to liven up the place. Also, Samuel, Julian, Iain and Sergeant Abram, who all had interesting dialogue.
- Add the Tutorial Island tutors somewhere after Beneath Cursed Tides. Perhaps the Jolly Boar Inn, it's roomy.

- Disable the toolbelt in the Entrana dungeon for Lost City's sake. Since magic requires a weapon, however, add a staff spawn in the dungeon, or allow casting spells without one.
- Buff desert heat to be dangerous again.
- Replace the Kal'gerion, Kethsi, RuneSpan and Reaper items from the Motherlode Maw with respective enhancers.
- Add the challenge gem titles to the dwarven challenge barrel.
- Add Dungeoneering, Agility and Divination to the minigame interface for POP.
- Add a counter to the I'm Forever Washing Shadows task.
- Allow the Ring of Charos to be used to pick a pet crab's colour.
- Make Talk-to the left-click option for gnome glider pilots.
- Remove mint cakes, dragon bones, Zamorak's favour and dwarven stouts (m) from Prifddinas workers' pickpocketing tables.
- Confine King Roald to his throne room.
- Add More Myre stems as ingredients to make splitbark wands and orbs.
- Make herbs received from Sanfew in return for goutweed more appropriate to one's Herblore level, and more numerous. Have Brambickle tip two or three goutweeds.
- Prevent the Desert Treasure stranger from spawning inside minigames and D&D's, and fix his glitchskin.
- See luck suggestions on page 23.
- Keep the wicked robes' chosen colours when they are stored in the POH.
- See page 35 for Karamja gloves suggestions.
- Rename ranger to Robin Hood boots.
- Remove the delay when unlocking and opening Broken Home doors.
- Allow herb gloves to work on noted herbs, as well as sources other than combat, such as herb packs, Goutweed, maybe Farming (but with e.g. 10% chance rather than 50%)
- Disable boss seal drops in GWD2 when one has max reputation and The Venerated title.
- Allow ironmen to catch manta rays at Deep Sea Fishing for the Ardougne diary.
- Show a player's clan regardless of privacy settings.

Thanks for the feedback! As a rule of thumb for the combat buffs with suggestedd numbers, what I did was take pre-EoC values and multiply them by 10 because, ya know, EoC did that with health. Due to EoC, players are able to deal much more damage to enemies per unit of time than before, and there are more healing sources in the form of abilities, Regenerate and of course banks' infinite healing. So I figured simply taking the pre-EoC values and merely scaling them to the new, multiplied-by-ten health values is a sort of minimum. If you disagree with this approach, please do argue why, though. :) I'll go through your points now.

- Upon release, hard mode TI was actually quite hard, and normal mode was fine, especially since all trolls scale with your level. However, EoC broke level scaling (see Dungeoneering bosses) and everything is too easy. I can one-hit almost all trolls with a level 70 weapon, and Cliff in particular is a joke. So yes, I stand by the suggestion that the trolls require a serious buff, with level scaling in mind. Also, recall that the archers are there to help out and the healing vial can be used five times per wave to restore everything and give 100% adrenaline. The D&D should not be obscenely hard (though hard mode should be a challenge) but in its current form it's absolutely trivial.
- I see no harm in buffing their combat/Slayer xp. But being able to defeat a high-level slayer creature like the Jadinko male in three hits with my trusty godsword without taking any damage at all is not really okay.
- I'll confess I haven't much experienced in the Polypore Dungeon; presumably Jagex know what kind of buff is adequate. I only know for sure the ganodermic beasts are a bit of a joke, and presumed the rest of the creatures could have a polish too.
- As for the remaining creatures, of course I was aiming for buffs appropriate to their requirements etc. and not for mini Graardors. :) A number of slayer monsters have been buffed [cont.]

a fair bit since EoC, and some quest bosses too - my list contains a few that were missed and are much too easy for their level now, e.g. turoth. I certainly wasn't envisaging war machines being bred, haha.
- As for poison, I think my explanation above should suffice, with the added note that even the weakest antipoison completely cures any standard poison. Mostly, the poison values seem appropriate to their context; Pyramid Plunder is for low levels too and you get poisoned a lot, so 200 (the old value was 20, mind) seems reasonable, as antipoison supplies are simply part of one's PP setup. Bush snakes indeed have an abnormally high value, but that's because they're a very particular danger to Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup and anyone playing that will be carrying antipoison for sure. Tribesmen too are abnormally poisonous for their level, but that's always been a danger of Karamja and they aren't aggressive (and shouldn't be!). Cave slimes and crawlers are slayer mosnters infamous for their potent poison; without it they're nothing at all. Scarab swarms have deliberate low health but are dangerous to pyramid explorers only because of their potent poison. Etc.
- For cockroaches, I also simpyl EoC'd their old stats. While the weaker ones may be killed by level 30s and such, the soldiers actually used to be "endgame F2P monsters" and I certainly recall players in adamant and rune fighting them. They indeed drop carapace, but that is also obtainable from their much weaker ilk so I see no problem there. Originally the soldiers were intended to be a good monster for med-/high level F2P players - if that's changed, I am unaware. Perhaps their drops could be amended to conform?
- I disagree that weapons and armour should be readily avaliable at every tier, but you do have a point. Buffing the MTA wands might be a better idea than removing their cheaper duplicates. Either way, I hope you'll agree the current situation is worse than either solution, though.

- I would definitely agree with lowering the price of master rc to e.g. 12.5k tokens a piece in Elriss's shop, totalling 50k rather than 60k for the whole set. For example. However, there was discussion about that on the minigame thread and I recall it being a contentious point. Either way, it's definitely a minigame thing so I'd rather have that discussion on the other thread. :) That said, even if master rc is too expensive from the traditional source (I don't disagree), it's certainly too cheap from the RuneSpan, which - to worsen things - is semi-afk'able content, whereas TGOP is high intensity and takes skill.

Re: stuff like dragonfire, a clanmate killing hydrix (!) dragons was able to cope very well using soul split and no other food whatsoever, without *any* dragonfire protection. Of course, he is maxed and what not, but when even maxed players aren't even slightly uncomfortable facing one of the most powerful dragons in-game without so much as an anti-dragon shield, someting's wrong. Since dragons are currently unaggressive too, there really isn't much danger to them at all. Having tested it, their dragonfire usually deals damage in the 1000s without any protection, with sporadic higher hits in the 3000s - but then I was taking hits from the same dragon for a good 15 seconds or so, by which time I should have been properly fried to a crisp. :)

Thanks again for all the feedback! Hopefully I've conveyed my intentions with the buffs and things better now. I'll also amend the proposal to remove the grifolic etc. wands.

@Rikornak:
You raise some very fair points about mages' having a disadvantage compared to melee when it comes to armour. But there's also the fact that Magic always used to be vastly superior to Melee, so there was that to balance it out a bit. Fortunately, EoC rebalanced all three styles to be roughly on par, and filled some lower level gaps with new, craftable gear to help low-levelled mages too. Unfortunately this was done with no respect for existing gear, in particular mystic robes (though these have thankfully been swapped with batwing since!), Fist of Guthix robes and Mage Training Arena stuff.

I also like the suggestions quoted from your F2P thread, though the Treasure Trails boots may be a bit contentious. Splitbark becoming F2P would be cool, as it would boost its price, thus making collecting bark and fine cloth a bit more profitable for members. And of course it'd fill the level 40 gap for free players. Perhaps druidic mage (now 35) could also be boosted to 40 or 45, providing a damage-focussed alternative, while splitbark as we all know focusses on melee defence.

I highly doubt they deliberately made cockroach soldiers weaker (seeing that the rest of the monsters were just 'forgotten' as you say), but very well, I'll simply remove the suggested numbers. And I really dislike the Sophanem Slayer Dungeon, by the way. The monsters are fairly powerful in their own right, hitting a lot, and there's the corruption effect, but they're much easier than e.g. ripper demons. Which is okay for some, but I had at least expected the dungeon to be riddled with traps or scarab swarms. :/

As for the dragons, remember that a maxed player attacking a green dragon is very likely to kill it before it has a chance to breathe fire at it. Not every attack is dragonbreath, and for chromatic dragons, they can't use dragonbreath at a distance. But yes I do think even a green dragon should be able to fry a maxed player without any sort of dragonfire protection,

if that player takes the risk of attacking the dragon. I also don't see why different 'tiers' are required, really. The Dragon Slayer quest teaches quite firmly that you need dragonfire protection when fighting dragons. If you ask me, there's absolutely nothing wrong with even maxed players dying when fighting dragons without protection (nowadays death is safer than ever, too). Should be a good lesson to gear up better next time. :)

Original message details are unavailable.
I think you should add abby demons to the buff list and remove dark beasts. Abby demons are easier then dark beasts and can be faster tasks. Dark beasts were already fixed with deflect prayers blocking 95% of the damage down to 50%. For dragons max damage being 6500 which one's are you referring to? They shouldn't all hit 6500 without anti's lol some dragons are weaker then others. As for bringing special attacks back from the weapons you mentioned I'm curious why you would want that. :)

Oh, good point, I'll swap 'em. I did mean all dragons. While not all dragons are equally strong in terms of regular attacks, their dragonfire attacks have always been equally potent, to my knowledge, with the exception of chromatic dragons' not being able to use them at long range. Since dragonfire protection works equally for all dragons too, I see no reason not to continue with having equally high hitting fire from all dragons. The 6500 number is semi-arbitrary, based on pre-EoC values.

I suggested that Snipe be added back since the Dorgeshuun crossbow is a nice quest reward, and appeals to players in that level range who cannot afford metal or gem-tipped bolts. The special attack itself is pretty unique too, hitting higher on unsuspecting opponents. The Ivandis weapons should get their special back simply because the mechanics of feeding Guthix Balance to vampyres are rather broken now. :/

Thanks to both for the comments!

- As for urns, if the tackle box is updated such that the urns are automatically taken out and started, that would still save an inventory spot, but not sure if technically feasible.
- Given how close the altar was to the bank, it was quite plainly ridiculous. They've moved the altar now, so I'll remove the suggestion.
- As for Romily, one is much better off selling the pies on the GE, so his reward should be the GE price at the very least. Not sure what kind of materials he would hand out, though; everything you need for pies can be found easily within the guild and he wouldn't know what you're cooking otherwise. Some Cooking xp makes sense, though!
- Good ideas for the wands. Frankly, you know much more about this than do I, so I just referenced your post in the OP. :P I also agree that removal is probably a bad idea (though I maintain they shouldn't have been released in the first place the way they are now), but lowering their stats should be okay as a solution (though I prefer buffing MTA wands myself). I mean, they lowered batwing's stats by 20 levels (and rightfully so) and the response was positive.
- No idea what the bat wand was doing there, you're right. Was probably thinking it's still level 50 or something.

Thanks for the input, as always! :)

You forget chromatic dragons though. :P

I don't know the exact values, but they're much lower than pre-EoC, and since players do more damage and can heal more easily nowadays, I think that isn't okay. That said I wouldn't exactly be opposed to weaker dragons having weaker dragonfire, but I don't think it's worth the effort since nobody in their right mind should be fighting dragons without protection anyway.

Chromatic dragons are green through black. :)

Brightfire, being a super antifire combined with prayer renewal, should block 100%. Currently, known methods of dragonfire protection are:

Any shield: helps a lot, max hit becomes 500
Antifire potion/mix: helps very little
Protect from/Deflect Magic: helps very little
Super antifire and combination derivatives: protects 100%
Shield + antifire: protects 100%
Shield + prayer: same as shield
Potion + prayer: either same as potion, or protects a bit more but still not a lot; not sure

~

Also added some more suggestions to the thread, nothing notable.

Thanks for the response! Fishing bait might not be a good idea due to the existence of the tackle box, but the idea an sich seems fine.

As for protean resources, that's probably a good idea - any suggestions as to how to obtain them? I'd think protean box traps as expensive rewards from Big Chinchompa, for instance, stuff like that.

The essence thing, I must admit, sounds very OP. It'd definitely have to have a daily limit, and dependence on runecrafting level sounds like a good precaution. Instead of the wicked hood, however, perhaps talisman staves would be a better option, since they're a bit lacking in usefulness. :) Thoughts?

Hm... I am not sure about the idea that regular training should yield such powerful items as protean stuff. You'd train and then get 'resources' for some more training, but that discourages participating in other content that link to that skill in whatsoever way, which I don't really think is good. I'd much rather encourage more varied gameplay in order to stimulate different ways of training, and boost some more exotic content's popularity. I'd rather have some more discussion on this though, so if anyone has an opinion, please pitch in. Also, today I learnt more protean stuff than bars, traps and hides exist... :P Personally, I'd suggest something along the line of the following:

Logs: Vinesweeper reward, uncommonly found during Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup
Bars: Blast Furnace
Memories: Guthixian Caches
Hides: Since there is no Crafting-related activity, for now just a byproduct of tanning
Traps: Big Chinchompa or Herblore Habitat or something
Cogs: What are these for, Invention? Hmm...how 'bout making them yourself using elemental components?
Planks: No idea, sawmill training?

Daily challenges could also be a good idea, though one'd have to limit the amounts for obvious reasons.

@Draco: Really? Where? :o Last I heard, Mod Srowley said it's not on the planners but could certainly be done.

Since minigames are suffering as is, any opportunity for new rewards should be taken IMO. Players that really don't want to play minigames can then keep training as normal, but won't enjoy the benefit of xp boosting outfits, sacred clay bonus xp, Fist of Guthix gloves, and indeed protean items, in that scenario, just to name a few.

Protean planks coming from protean logs' conversion at the Sawmill is an excellent idea, ensuring Construction remains expensive to train. :)

The log -> plank conversion was there before they allowed you to change the proteans at a 3:2 ratio to anything else.

As for the minigames, what about Ironmen? What would be the best method for Ironmen to get access to proteans?

Add them to the thaler store

Could work, I guess, but it'd need case-by-case consideration. You can manage Shifting Tombs and Flash Powder Factory just fine on your own (though without a quick source of three additional apparatus, you won't be able to get very high (1500+) scores - ironically this doesn't matter (yet) since there are no hiscores and Brianpoints cap at 1270 (or something)), but you'll never get a very high score on Cabbage Facepunch without a good team. :/

Also, added troll generals to the monsters needing a buff. They used to have a very potent melee attack that could hit up to 420 but since 4200 seems a bit devastating without 100% protection from prayer, maybe 3000 or so would be a better number.

Also an example for a creature needing a full re-evaluation (as they were really designed with 100 % prayers in mind back then in early RS2), you would simply put a max hit on them that isn't even achieved by many high leveled creatures (that certainly are more rewarding to fight than this). This does apply to all creatures that had such an insanely high max hit pre-eoc

They should be completely newely designed as what they're intended to be: Medium leveled creatures with level adequate drops (don't look too bad on the first sight, but certainly could use some cleaning up), xp rewards (a monster with a 3k hit should award 500 xp?) and stats (and this doesn't include a 3k max hit). When doing this they even could get some kind of special attack, maybe something to avoid, maybe something to counter (like that airut enrage). Players should learn about special mechanics earlier than they do now, but of course they shouldn't be as deadly as high leveled ones

I agree in general (hehe general). In the case of the troll general however, it's intended to be a monster with a very powerful melee attack that's only really fought for their key during Troll Stronghold. Therefore, in this situation, a proper rework like that makes little sense.

Poison rework sounds good - excellent excuse to take a look at weapon poison again (pre-EoC weapon poison and poisoned weapons can still be obtained...) and finally fix karambwan poison and the Shaikahan (most easily, just use its pre-EoC mechanics, it's sufficiently niche for that, and maybe allow Zamorakian and chaotic spears and dragon hastae to be poisoned too).

Added death prices and adrenaline, though that might indeed require more than just the Ninjas. I do recall its being removed in some patch notes quite a while ago though, perhaps an oversight?

The food scaling with HP level was removed with the 2014 combat improvements. Food as a whole needs a good rework though, since fish are the superior foodstuffs now, whereas more intricate stuff such as pies and pizzas are inferior. More exotic foods such as tiger sharks, baron sharks and manta rays, as well as various potatoes, are superior to fish but only marginally so, and the effort is often not worth it when you can just buy monkfish, shark or rockfail from the G.E. Definitely not a quick fix. :/

I must admit I thought food scaling was still in the game (I can't check it for myself as I was maxed in constitution for years) as it even is referenced at the magister article in the RS wikia:

"The Magister has several special abilities, one of which consists of summoning a soul obelisk that drains the player's Constitution level, which affects both the amount of health food can heal when eaten in addition to the player's maximum life points."

/edit: Did some checking - The food article also references constitution levels required for food certainly newer than the combat improvements like arc gumbo and shark soup.

/edit 2: Food scaling definitely still is ingame - just checked it with a fresh account, I guess it was in the beta, but got discarded afterwards

Regarding special types of food: I think it is fine if easy to obtain food doesn't look to shabby in terms of pure healing power (and is the thing you'll take by default as you'll eat immense amounts of it over time), but special types could show off in terms of other effects (or even in interaction with special equipment). I would grab up this again as an example:

Original message details are unavailable.
- The shark's tooth necklace has a bonus for increasing the heal over time when eating baron sharks, the issue just is you can't wear it in combat situations due to the total lack of stats: In order to solve this I would put on a +30 bonus to all styles (something in between glory and fury, but lacking a prayer bonus) and extend its fuctionality by doubeling the secondary effects of great maki and great gunkan as well. I doubt it would make it overpowered, but it will give this thing some niche use.

Oh, fairy nuff then. I agree the shark's tooth necklace's effect could be buffed a bit - it's sufficiently hard to obtain.

I'd say that only a potion shouldn't do much, as intended, while only a shield ought to reduce the maximum damage to 500, so that's pretty effective. I think the QBD's fire is special and uses different mechanics.

As for Devotion; no idea, ask Elite Stack. :P

I doubt a threshold mechanic for champions' scrolls would be well received. Unfortunately I perceive division between cocky players that have obtained all/most scrolls that are against it on grounds of elitism, players who have none/few that really want them and are pro, and then a small group of players that actually care about the game rather than themselves and represent either option.

Having personally spent quite a while cannonning ghouls to death to no avail, I don't think it'd be a particularly harmful update, but I'm not especially in favour of it either. Would require more discussion either way, though ideally I'd leave it to Mod Maylea's sole discretion.

Add the abyss mobs to the buff list. I think this is by far the most important buff of all. They hit nothing on you and you can stay there all day without healing methods. They need a massive buff to their damage.

Could be potentially quite dangerous - of course an high leveled player can easily negate the damage caused by those things (and probably not be affected at all by a change, so this entire thing would have failed), lower leveled players (and potentially also abyss runecrafters) would be wrecked by this change - their individual weakness is compensated by the sheer amount of those creatures in there (and this is the only reason why they're so extremely good for combat training - individual drops/xp are junk). The absolute minimum that would need to happen additionally would be an aggressivity disabling effect for the infinity ethereal outfit (similiar to golem/shark for LRC), but even then I am unsure if it really should be done

At the very least, their special passive abilities should be added back, so I'll definitely add that.

To-do list:

- Make Menaphos cactus patch boulder quicker to mine (few seconds rather than few minutes)
- Add to buff list: cursed ivory statues, Bandosian statues, chaos dwarf hand cannonneers, scabarites (let the mages poison rather than inflict disease)
- Add to poison list: confusion beasts during A Soul's Bane, Tolna's heads
- Add to NPC Contact: Urluk (Menaphos city quests), Grim Reaper (Soul Reaper), your Consortium company director (Keldagrim city quests), spirit trees (Evil Tree), Talsar (Sinkholes), Reggie (recharge rewards)
- Buff Keldagrim city quests' rewards
- Remove the Lumbridge tree patch back to the crater
- Make Roddeck's cellar accessible again, or add Sir Vant to Falador for everyone
- Add cosmetic versions of the anger weapons as a reward for A Soul's Bane
- Allow swamp lizards to use every combat style again
- Allow higher Hunter levels to unlock a second and third simultaneous deadfall trap,or perhaps as a Heist reward

Will add Magister stuff (blindly trusting that the suggestions are sound - they certainly sound good, haw haw haw!). As for teleports, this might create some unforeseen issues; how to handle portal room portals, for instance? It would work quite well for the lyre, I think, though. Suggestion: update Invention prismatic pendants to match the skill colours.

Which do you mean? If you're referring to the pendants of skill from the SoF, I doubt that's going to happen, since they've been discontinued for a while. What are Invention pendants, though?

Guess add these here as well ... maybe?

- Mystic Robe Seller - either make a copy of the NPC, or move him from Yanille to somewhere on the F2P map. Now F2P (or at least ironmen) can access the Mystic Robes, Wand, and Orb.
(Wizard Guild w/ level 66 entry requirement, should not be selling level 50 gear)

- Oziach's Shop - Have him Sell Blue D-hide bodies and mystic robe top

- Mystic Staffs - (referring to the Level 40 2h staffs), have them re-tiered to Level 50 to match the naming of Mystic Robes, Mystic Wand, Mystic Orb

- Shop update - have shops sell up to the Rune tier of equipment. ie: Bob's Axes sells Rune Hatchets and Rune BattleAxes, Al Kharid Scimitar Shop sells up to Rune Scimitars, Burthrope 2H sword shop sells Rune 2handers

I don't think mystic robes should be obtainable this easily; they are generally unique Slayer drops, which maintains the robes' value, with an additional option to buy them from the Wizards' Guild (which, I agree, needs a full rework) for richer, higher-levelled mages. Also, recall that F2P have access to level 50 battle robes, which are best-in-slot for them, I think.

As for Oziach; yeah, good idea.

Mystic staves, as far as I know, have no relation to mystic robes whatsoever, other than a similarity in naming. Perhaps necromancer's staves could be boosted to level 50, though?

The shop update would have to be part of a full shop rework, I fear, and I don't think this is ninja material, sorry. :/

I don't think giving the Royal Crossbow it's old effect back is a good idea by the way.
It's a T80 weapon that costs 350k and 5 minutes of "effort" to make. It's as good as it needs to be.

Oh I almost forgot:

Give the Lucky Cutlass and defensive blackjacks their defense bonuses back.

It costs much more for ironmen, and unless you have super antifires, getting the QBD to activate it is significant effort (and even with super antifires I failed the first time). But either way, it's "just another crossbow" at the moment, rather than the unique weapon it used to be.

And good idea, will add.

Add spirit of battles to the shattered worlds reward shop. They would cost 1m anima.

Remove the level restriction in the wild and allow anyone to attack other players.

Remove the skulling system to the wild.

Allow the level 50 prayer item protect, keep 2 items instead of 1. The non curses 1 (level 25 prayer) will still keep 1 item.

I'll add spirits of battle; the Wilderness suggestions are definitely not going to happen, since that'd require rebalancing of everything in the Wilderness, most notably the demonic skull. It'd also be rather unfair to low-levelled players to be able to be killed by anyone just beyond the ditch...

Got some cooking fixes, which could be required for making trawler fish more appealing and future-proofing the skill as whole.

- Food will now stop burning at 12 levels higher than their base cooking requirement, 8 levels if using either cooking gauntlets or a range and 4 if using both. Special ranges (e.g. the lumbridge, arc or portable ones) grant an additional bonus of 1 level. Using both gauntlets and a (regular) range will now always cause food to stop burning at level 99, no matter what their requirements are - it will be put on level 120, if the skill gets extended in the future.
This sounds extreme on the first sight, but I think it is a chance to get a consistent system for cooking as well as preventing the asine chance to burn some non-default food. Commonly used food stops burning at level 94 with gauntlets anyway
- Cooking auras now grant a chance to cook duplicate food instead, stacking with the modified sous chef's toque and special ranges (I think the arc/portable effect could also be extended to any special range)

That's a possibility; though it may perhaps be better to do a more thorough rework right away.

Umm today I finished the bronze and silver challenge to shattered worlds. after I did those it won't let me do the gold challenge, So i decided to continue clearing regular worlds. Then on world 81 I earn 7.5m anima and it says I have completed the gold challenge. I think this is a bug.

The gold challenge for this week is to complete two worlds of level 80 and above. You cleared 80 and 81 so that seems all right?

Allow cursed wisps to curse you. Others players can't attack you for 30 minutes, your hp will be drained by 300 hp every 2 minutes, You will be unable to rest, And all combat stats are reduced by 1 for 30 minutes. You can attack or be attacked by any mobs in the wild. The wisps can curse you every 3 hours.

Other players being unable to attack you would ruin the entire point of cursed wisps.

Yeah, that kind of goes against the spirit of the Wilderness and the balancing of the wisps.

I'd recommend suggesting the plushies in the designated stickied thread.

- As of EoC, spells, arrows and other projectiles fly very, very fast and in straight rather than parabolic trajectories; this only makes sense for abilities. Make auto-attacks and all monster attacks, including summoning familiars, fly at the regular velocities.

You should remove this because you have VASTLY underestimated how accurate what you see ingame is. In fact, the arrows we shoot are pathetically slow compared to what modern bows can do (and while I appreciate modern bows are not medieval, surely something like a Nox longbow could compete).

The maths:
I had a quick attempt at timing how long our arrows are in their air and got a figure of less than 0.3seconds (aiming about 5 squares away, I don't know if the distance changes the flight time in the animation).
Using constant acceleration equations with Earth gravity, the arrow would fall a total distance of 0.5*9.8*0.3*0.3 metres (you can google the equation) which meas the arrow would hit the target 0.441 metres below where you shot it. Which is not very much, brely enough to notice IMO.

But, EVEN WORSE, if you work out the actual arrow speed, since 1 square ingame is 1 metre (I think?), you get that the arrow is going about 16.7 metres per second, while a quick google suggests that modern bows achieve closer to 75-80 metres per second.
If you think about it, if the arrow's speed was updated to be more realistic, the flight time would be even lower, and so the arrow would dip EVEN LESS than the barely noticeable 0.441m.

What you have to remember about the parabolas that the OS animation showed is that they are actually the pathetically unrealistic animations with arrows flying so slowly they'd probably bounce off bare skin. So no support on that.

Oh you're completely right, it's physically incorrect. But often spells/arrows are very pretty, and now you can't see anything. :)

Remove bh worlds. I think just about everyone wants it removed.

Where would you distribute the rewards?

That and why would you remove such a recent update? The Crucible was effectively replaced by this old style BH, which was always very popular, and Deathmatch. The former uses the BH mechanics and dangerous PvP, the latter recycles the arena and rewards as well as some mechanics, but is safe.

Snip.

Good idea on the brawling gloves.

As for the cape, the suggestion resulted from a discussion in the clan. The problem it's trying to address it that the completionist cape is intended as a sort of endgame reward for players who have done "everything" as they play the game. However, its stats make it extremely desirable, and therefore most players "go for" the cape on purpose, rather than earning it 'as you do'. And this is a serious design flaw, since there are some very hefty requirements on there; profound decorative armour (which by no means is intended as something someone going for good stats on a cape should own if they aren't a mad Castle Wars enthusiast), ARMS rank 300 (ditto), slain some insane bosses, etc.

Hence the suggestion of nerfing the cape a bit (it'd still be pretty good, in my view better than a skillcape), such that those who want the best-in-slot cape don't feel 'forced' to get it. The Nomad capes are a good idea, but may be a bit niche.

That definitely sounds like a better idea. Current requirements would have to be shuffled a lot, some might be removed, and new ones might be added (e.g. obtained all skill outfits, BA insignia(s), royal crossbow, etc.). Make Hunter's Skillcape Effect Passive instead of active.

Hm, the wiki fails to specify what the effect is exactly. Does it last indefinitely? Because in that case, yeah that makes sense.

I've gone ahead and added the Smithing perk though, because it really is useless at level 99.

Make protection prayers from bosses protect 50% Sigmund can still remain 100% protection unless he is buffed.

I think this might break some mechanics. E.g. the Kalphite Queen and Edicts conspirators force style switching; if this is implemented then those mechanics are lost since 50% damage is still a lot of damage. But out of curiosity, do you have a full list of cases? Some might work.

Original message details are unavailable.
Keys on Key Ring ......

#1 - If possible, use a mechanic for any key to remove the need to ever use it again.
#2 - focus first on Melzar's Maze Key (aka: Maze Key from Dragon Slayer) and Brass Key (Edgeville Dungeon Key that accesses Hill Giants).

The Maze Key and Brass Key are old mechanics.
We've already had the Weapon Storeroom Key (Shield of Arrav) removed.
By updating these 2 keys first, if devs ever got around to the "put key ring on toolbelt" suggestions, then they remove the QA scenario of having to use the Key Ring on F2P worlds.

(I'm hoping this makes sense)

As already said on your own thread, I fail to see what problem this would solve, unfortunately (apart from making QA a bit easier)... Not sure what you mean by "old mechanics" to be frank - often one-use quest keys permanently unlock something but that's usually for quest-specific locations, whereas that does not apply to the brass and dusty keys. You do have a point for the maze key though; one might only return there to fight Melzar again or take a look at his notes. (or just explore, it's a very spooky and nice place)

Original message details are unavailable.
I think there are lots of older content that could be changed in a way it is permanently altered: For instance a rope also could be permanently applied to the genie cave near nardah (similar to the kalphite queen hive)

Yeah, currently you have to use a rope each time, but you do get it back. Permanent rope would make sense.

I was thinking of nex and kalphite queen mostly that would make it 50%. That's all I guess.

Since the idea of the boss fight is to force a player to bring and use multiple styles, halving the protection would be rather counterproductive, don't you agree? :/

Rikornak replied to most, but I'll do so anyway. Thanks for the feedback though, it's not unappreciated. :)

- This would only affect the finished shark outfit, if you ask me. Saves you a trip to Diango (?) when fishing.

- Not everyone has the prawn perk...and it doesn't work for e.g. the Living Rock Caverns.

- Take a look at the combat section, I've suggested improvements for both arrows. :)

- Turns out that doesn't work. Submitted a bug report too.

- Yeah I have no idea what this means either. Will remove until the suggester clarifies.

- It would be for consistency as the rest of the set degrades. It wouldn't affect all armour, just these items.

- These items used to have combat bonuses and were used by players that couldn't afford/didn't need better items; I don't see why the unintentionally removed stats shouldn't be returned.

- Well they used to have melee bonuses, but I'd be fine with ranged too.

~ Are you sure? I don't think that works. :(

- Good point. Will add something for that. Obtaining a hatchet is part of the quest, though, forces you to think and realise that the zombies are holding bronze ones.

- Because they are already as quick as a teleport can be, but look rather generic. :)

- Yes, good point. Removed.

- A bit, yes, but it's currently borderline OP and most importantly it makes the other desert obelisk useless, since The Jack of Spades is novice and trivial.

The teleport for the desert locust sounds nice

"Rename Zaros components to Ancient components, and the latter to Third Age Components. Allow (corrupt) Ancient Warriors' Equipment to provide them."

I think the current ancient components has to be taken literally in the sense of extremely old (see also the ancient artefact, which also has no relation to zaros - or several other items with the same prefix). I wouldn't mind if they were to rename it to third age though - but renaming zaros to ancient wouldn't cope up the other side of the spectrum - the serenic ones (which certainly is a fitting addition in the newer lore).

(Corrupt) Ancient Warrior providing zarosian components would be a good addition on the other hand

IMO Zaros should be renamed ancient for consistency with other references to Zaros in these situations (e,g. rune god armour, vestments, god books). I agree that the current Ancient components are ancient in the sense of old, hence the suggestion to rename them Third Age and allow Ancient Warriors' Equipment, rather than just Third Age armour, to provide them as well.

I think some of your poison suggestions are too high tbh. 1100 is Higher then what living wyverns can hit with poison. Wyverns hit in the 800s-900s with poison with no protection I don't think any of the mobs you mentioned should higher stronger poison damage. I don't think all of them should be equal to pre eoc poison damage. It can be close or near though. I have some poison suggestions.

Cave slimes: 235
Cave crawlers: 650
Bush snakes: 710
Jade vine frogs: 520
Jorge champion: 650
All ape atoll monsters: 550
Saradomin and guthix wizards: 550
Jungle strykewyrms: 375 melee, 650 Dig
Poison scorpians: 200
poison spiders: 450
Saradomin priests: 360
Tribesmen: 520, 710 in cleanup
spinolyps: 520
Scarab and scarab swarms: 300
Wild Jade vine: 575
Kalphite guardians: 520
pyrmid plunder urns: 150

Meh, works for me. The suggested values were just a starting point; either way a single sip of even standard antipoison heals completely. :)

I also disagree with comp cape having the same stats as a skillcape. In no way should getting a level 99 in any skill have the same stats as a comp camp. I know you are asking for a new cape which is fine, but it takes alot more effort to complete content then to get a 99 skill. The hiscores proves why this would not be a good idea.:(

Tbh the comp cape needs to be cosmetic; I just suggested skillcape stats because it requires all skillcapes, and the master quest cape is similarly difficult to obtain and is also a skillcape. It would need a full rework though, determining the requirements for it and its trimmed version from scratch using the new achievement system.

I disagree that it's not a good idea though; it'd definitely be an unpopular idea, but it's for the health of the game, and comp capes have done enough damage as is.

But what has comp cape done to the game? The stats make it a bit easier to kill things but if someone is not that good at pvm, they are not that good at pvm.

Well, for one thing, due to its supreme stats, people 'go for' the cape, actively trying to obtain it. The idea behind it, however, is that you simply earn it 'as you go along' while playing the game and eventually 'completing everything', at your leisure so to speak. But the active comp cape hunters create many problems; several activities are ruined, e.g. Castle Wars and Mobilising Armies, which these people afk or boost due to the higher (trimmed) comp cape requirements. Moreover, new content often creates new requirements, which leads to complaints and pointless back-and-forth discussions, and also prevents the developers from doing certain stuff they might like to do without having to thikn about the consequences for the cape. E.g. achievements can be made arbitrarily hard because they're just for fun, but other morsels of content cannot be due to the completionists. That kind of stuff.

If it's any consolation, the rework won't happen for a good while if ever, although it really should.

I know they were recently added, but Remove kal'gerion demon scrolls and kethsi items from the motherlode maw. They are not really useful for anything and should remain hard to get. I don't want to get one of these when I can get a slayer vip ticket ushabti or something else useful.

So your saying that Castle Wars was ruined because of Comp Capers and you actually expect them to play it manually over afking it? Sorry but that's like telling my kitten to stop ripping the fly screen (Which she doesnt!!)

Comp capers (but given the requirement, I can't blame them for afk'ing to be frank) and thaler leechers, yeah. I'm barely expecting them to play normally anymore. :/

Maybe something small-ish for today:

Challenge gems (tradeable MTX items, which also are occassionally given out at events like the beach) award a set of 7 titles, which are gained by participating, winning or losing a set amount of challenges. I would suggest incorporating the dwarven challenge barrels in this pool as well.

As in, allow dwarven challenge barrels, whatever they be, to rewars the titles as well?

Oh, personally I'm not inclined to have all elite outfits available from Invention only. But I suppose it's a decent enough idea, if fragments are available from other sources than just random time-based experience reception. E.g. if an elite farming outfit exists, Vinesweeper should definitely reward fragments. Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. Minigames & ninja fixes & achievement ideas!

I think the best way would be doing something like it was done with the camouflage outfits and shifting tombs: A fitting minigame (or why not simply all fitting minigames) could award fragments at the double rate compared to normal skilling, but I do not think finished pieces should directly come from the regular activity without any assistance (assembling the fragments via invention) - especially considering the power of those sets

Yeah that seems fairy nuff.

Small ninja fixes:
* Add to the D&D/minigame interface for player-owned-port the fact that 90 Divination, Dungeonering or Agility are also possible requirements to start this activity.

* Find-out where the missing cabbage of the cabbage patch south of Falador (where the explorer ring 3/4 teleports you) went, and put it back (who said ocd?)

*Thanks, added.

*...what? :P

@Lord Drakan: If you look at the cabbage field south of Falador, there is a hole (a cabbage which was removed for the Easter event and not put back).

Other idea:
* For the "I'm Forever Washing Shadows" quest cape achievement ("Aid Lord Amlodd in cleansing shadow cores";), add a visible counter to know how many shadow cores of each type was already collected.

Added both, thanks!

Bonus stuff affecting the Ectofuntus is definitely not going to happen; it's always been deliberately excluded and even when Jigglex added Summoning to bonus xp weekends, the Ectofuntus was unaffected. Thing is that it already gives 400% xp, add to that bonus xp or brawling gloves and you get well in the 800%'s, which is ridiculously high. It's already been made much faster by removing the need for pots and buckets (even though that makes no sense).

And sure, the bonus xp thing sounds fine.

Oh, I was not aware that all those bonuses do work for gilded altars. In that case, I agree it makes little sense to exclude the Ectofuntus. And yes, the bonuses should stack additively to prevent huge explosions of overpowered xp, but then again, mtx exists. :p Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. I think it is quite useful in terms of the slayer soul collection: Maybe thinking a step further - why not unify all four strykewyrm tasks into one? And as of the wyrm - I guess they all (also the ice and desert variants) could be attackable at any time, the mechanic was used in the past to prevent having them overfarmed, but as you can still only attack one at a time this certainly should no longer be an issue (especially when you could choose the type of wyrm for your task). The wyrms offer neither great experience rates (albeit the ice ones are good tasks), nor valuable drops - so there should be no reason to kill them off-task except for the soul and this is the point why they should get rid of that outdated mechanic

Probably cannot unify them since they have different Slayer requirements and lava ones exist and stuff, but fighting them off-task sounds reasonable, so added that. Their unique drops would still be limited to tasks, though.

Presumably the easiest thing to implement, if not outright removing challenges, would be to only assign quest-locked ones if the quest has been completed, so I'll add that. Though I must add that you have an excellent incentive to do Swan Song, which is a great quest. :P

Not sure about the slayer helmet, but fortunately Rikornak seems to be able to help you.

Last time I fought Khazard and Lucien was in Climber mode a few weeks ago, and everything was fine. Could you describe the issue in more detail? I have trouble following. :/

I agree with the sentiment on challenges, but since they're going to rework that apparently, I'll steer mostly clear of it for now. Will add the other stuff (but no loot for Tolna's things), thanks.

Yes, it was changed in 2005 or 2006. Point is that the original special seems fairly balanced (you either hit 0 or a lot, with two attempts given full adrenaline/energy) and could well contend with abilities, whereas a 25% accuracy buff is definitely not worth it over a threshold or ultimate ability, monsters don't have run energy, and in PvP, stealing run energy isn't as useful anymore since the leaping abilities (Surge and something) now exist and run energy is restored very quickly anyway.

Re:5quarecrow
Obviously things would have to be carefully balanced, but the current situation is absurd since EoC utterly broke level scaling. I mean, I always solo, and I used to require a semi-full set of armour and lots of food and some skill to beat a boss. Nowadays I don't need any of that and I can kill them in ~5 hits.

I was thinking, in order to make hot air balloons more popular, certainly log storage boxes are a necessity. Mikel suggested removing the log requirement if a Firemaking skillcape is owned. That still leave the weight limit - perhaps remove that as a perk for the Agility cape, or make it a reward from the Agility Arena? Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. Livid farm improvements:

Make the produce from the produce pile spawn more frequently.

Increase the cap of livid plants you can have from 10 to 100.

I think it spawns...once every three rounds? I'm fairly certain it was balanced to work that way, but yeah perhaps it could be increased to twice every five or something. Then again, they've done a lot of updates to LF recently to increase produce point output. Hm, tricky.

I don't know what you mean by the second point; the plants don't stack, nor do the bundles, and the piles only hold ten per spawn.

You can only have 10 livid plants at once. I would like it buffed to 100 so it can be slightly more efficient. Livid farm is not afk and with these changes it would still be very slow. I believe some afk skilling methods will be nerfed in the future with the M@S rework. This would make livid farm a more viable option.

All right, I suppose, if they're made stackable. Will add.

You can remove the 'Allow a rope to be hung permanently into the Genie's chasm west of Nardah.' entry, as you can enter the cave now without a rope at all

Original message details are unavailable.
This is really nitpicky, and isn't a bug or anything that is detrimental, but I couldn't help but notice it whilst firemaking. The flavour text on corrupted magic logs says "Magic logs seeped in corruption", which is grammatically incorrect. It should probably say "Magic logs steeped in corruption" instead.

Nope, past participle of to seep is seeped - implication would be it being so full of corruption that it literally is dripping

All right, will remove. Though I have no idea why they removed the rope requirement completely rather than just making the rope attachment permanent...

And yes, seeped is correct. :)

Will add that in a bit. Meanwhile, list of quest fixes from this thread for Master Stu. They focus directly on gameplay, rather than (post-quest) rewards. Priority stuff in boldface.

- Any buff to (quest) monsters and poison that could be squeezed in would be nice, see page 1
- Allow the Shaikahan to be killed once more, using (kp) spears and hastae.
- Have mourners on Arandar once more throw vials at players to drain all their stats and health to level 20.
- Add a hidey-hole to the Poison Waste grapple shortcut.
- Make the max hit of the Temple of Light shadows 1300 again, up from 272, and their health 1500 up from 100.
- Buff the Pest Queen across the board, and make her body impassable for elite defilers again.

- Replace instances of disease (e.g. Jiggig, fever spiders, Scabarite Hive monsters and traps) with Constitution draining. Super restore potions would heal this at a much lesser rate than they restore other skills, whereas Relicym's balm would work much better.
- Lift the Birthright o/t Dwarves wielding requirement for relevant dragon weapons.
- Graphically update sandstorms from Shadow of the Storm to use sandnado graphics from the beach event.
- Update Sir Ceril's graphics during Ratcatchers.
- Swap Brother Tranquillity's zombie and human animations.
- Update the dwarves in the Another Slice of H.A.M. cutscene. (can use generic models)
- Revert the graphics of the Hazeel and Enakhra apparitions, who look inconsistent with the other ones.
- Give the Sophanem Slayer Dungeon guard a face mask.
- Update Turael in the White Knights' Castle during While Guthix Sleeps.

- Re-add the Osman and Jex cutscene to Contact!, which is missing.
- See bottom post of page 1 for quest items that cannot be reclaimed/stored in the POH.

- Add Peck the goebie to Mazcab after Call of the Ancestors.
- Add Sorin to Burgh de Rott.
- Require Fire Wave to be used to ignite the explosive barrels in Nomad's Requiem (it's broken atm).
- Restore the boneguard sequence in Enakhra's Lament (also broken).

- Make Karamja rum unbankable.
- Disable the toolbelt in the Entrana dungeon for Lost City's sake. Since magic requires a weapon, however, add a staff spawn in the dungeon, or allow casting spells without one.
- Buff desert heat to be dangerous again.

- Prevent the Desert Treasure stranger from spawning inside minigames and D&D's, and fix his glitchskin. (Stu can't do the latter by himself probably)

I realise this is a long list, but hopefully some stuff can be done!

I'd rather fine cloth be limited to Shade chests only, to be honest. The rewards are already relatively lacklustre, being mostly adamant and rune gear for the best chests, whereas the fine cloth is a good money-maker. Also if Zaff were to sell finished splitbark armour, that'd make Jalarast useless. Since splitbark is not a standard armour set but a niche one with extra high melee defence, its difficulty in obtaining is fine IMO.

Tolna's stuff sounds good though I don't know if it's wise to introduce another source of Scare Tactics so soon after release.

Also, I heard the Fishing update features a shop that literally sells Stealing Creation points, amongst other things. What the heck?

Actually I do think it's intended that you have to obtain an axe within the dungeon itself. There is a reason that the zombies there drop one commonly and are seen wielding one (whereas other zombies don't) so it was probably intended as requiring a step of logic to kill the zombies for an axe. The ent random did indeed potentially ruin that (though not as much as the toolbelt of course since you don't just get free ent event that you fail upon logging in) but presumably that was just an oversight on Jagex's part, same as how they haven't made any modifications to accommodate for the toolbelt's existence. Suggestion: since herb gloves (from Fist of Guthix) are not super useful at the moment, I would suggest allowing them to work for noted herb drops as well. Especially since, for some reason, aberrant spectres and the like seem to drop noted herbs now.

I think the effect should also work with other stuff, maybe as a reward from some herb-related quest like Eadgar's Ruse. Examples include herb rewards from the crystal chest, Pest Control herb packs, Gnome Restaurant herb rewards and Sanfew's goutweed reward (which needs updating anyway). Any other sources I might have missed?

Can't think of a better place to post it, so here's a suggestion for a shanty for A Clockwork Syringe. I'm aware others exist, this is just mine.

Postie Pete brought ye a large crate;
'twas a Barrelchest with upgrade.
But ye made the kill
and alerted Bill,
good thing yer insurance is great.

Cap'n Braindeath's aid ye then sought
'cause the head were telling ye nought.
Evading Donnie
and his crab army,
swore 'The Oath' that ye the chest bought.

~

The head divulged what's the matter.
Bill and ye sailed to Bloodsplatter.
Found a factory,
Mi-Gor and Murphy,
but by cannons ye were battered.

Lo the Baron perched on a rock,
in disguise ye two wreaked havoc:
blew the whole place up,
found out Jack's on top!
Scuttled zomboats right off the dock.

Feel free to suggest better syntax if some bits sound a bit off.

Spirit cape would require more work then, yeah, but the necklaces (including blood variants) should work. The effect scrolls too if for some stupid reason you lose them before using them, and maybe the pets if you die with them (although I think (hope) they would go to the pet store then, so probably not worth it).

Thanks, will add.

As for re-purposing the portal chamber, I'm not sure that's a good idea. I use the current portals a lot (some, anyway), but maybe additions of D&Ds could work (even though that sounds a bit OP and rather against the spirit of D&Ds, which you are more or less supposed to semi-randomly encounter whilst going about usual business). And just basically newer teleports like GWD, maybe some Lunars.

Be able to Block Pulse Cores.
Show the Last 5 Trades with Player.
Be able to see if a Player is in a Clan when they have Privacy settings On.

Good ones, thanks! Any ideas for whence the trade history might be accessed?

(pulse cores were already on there, I just saw!)

Be able to eat a food in the ground by clicking on it using the right button and click and the option EAT without take the item in the bag (by the drops, for exemple) and drink potions! It'll be good for people who has a full bag and don't want to drop an item, take the food, eat it and then take the item again.

That sounds like a good idea, kudos. I do think this needs more thinking though... are there any situations in which this might break stuff?

Maybe another thought for the brewing improvements:

- Make the 'stuff' tradeable (only the regular variant, a potential future improved one should actually have to be obtained by yourself). This would also give some value to the money making capabilities of trouble brewing - or even lay the foundations for that in the first place

Good idea, but...it can also be obtained from Stanley Limelight's shop for only 2 thaler each. People would probably buy it from there rather than TB.

I also got another idea for the karamja gloves revamp:

- I know this just was only changed recently, but it could be improved further: Remove the requirement of having the karamja gloves in your inventory to climb down the ladder in the shilo gem mine. You'll still need to have completed the hard tasks to be able to do this and you'll need the gloves with you for the teleport (but you could free up that inventory slot by banking them if you need to restock for example)

Sure.

I currently completing the Gower Quest and I forgot to mark down the adventurer number he gave to me. I don't know if the order of people/number are saved to the account or if Max just has an integer that gets incremented each time a new player talks to him, but if it does get saved to the account data it would be nice to have a way to see it after completing the quest. Either by talking to Max in the BTS lounge or in the quest log.

Fun idea! Added, thank you.

Not sure about the thinker outfit pieces, since they're just cosmetics (albeit rare ones). Why exactly would you disassemble them? Fully agree on the god armour though!

And excellent list, thanks. :) I had another idea:

- When worn, double proboscis drops from mosquito swarms. (medium)
- Free passage to the Feldip Hills with Rantz's kids. (hard)

Maybe another luck suggestion for the player owned farm: Increase the chance to gain rabbits (tier 2), spiders/yaks (tier 3) and chinchompas/zygomites/dragons (tier 4)

Was actually going to suggest adding enhancers for those drops to Farming-related activities like Herblore Habitat or Vinesweeper. But yeah I would think luck should affect them too.

Added one more to make the abyssal vine whip poisonous again, an effect which was removed by EoC.

Cool idea certainly, maybe it also could be somehow incorporated with cinderbane gloves and our consumable poisons?

Well, err, you'd not have to drink consumable poisons when using that weapon or those gloves. :P

Nice list dude XD
Have you considered including a list of the ninja fixes which Jagex has actually completed from your list?
Or maybe put them in crossed out font when they've been completed?

Thanks very much!

I did consider that but unfortunately I didn't reserve enough posts...so I've just been removing things that have been implemented. :/ Could start a new post with completed stuff here I suppose, but I don't think I remember everything! :P Could go through all the posts in the thread to see if anyone (e.g. myself) has posted "this has just been released, removed from list".

Yeah! You could make another thread and then just have the QFC on the first post of this thread or just use the font that looks like this around any completed ones(unless of course your posts are all 100% full)

Aye they're a bit almost completely full. :P I'll try and track down some of the completed ones if I have time. Nice signature btw.

I like the fire/ice arrow idea, maybe they could scale in level depending on what bow you are using to shoot them with?

However these arrows are difficult to get already, wouldn't they need a new source?

I wish god bows and god arrows could get a buff. Cool weapons, weak stats and weak effect. Also they are shield bows which doesn't go with the design of the bow. (dark bow is similar but much better)

Thanks! My idea was to make ice arrows by casting ice spells on regular arrows, where the level of spell determines the level of arrows (adamant for rush, rune for burst, dragon for blitz, dark for barrage), and then the bow would determine the accuracy. The only source definitely would not be ice spiders, haha. As for fire arrows, same idea, except you use cloth on them with e.g. lantern oil applied to it to set them on fire (or just go to Koftik), with similar scaling.

I'll add a god bow buff.

Player owned ports can use some improvements. It's timelocked with 108 total scrolls + all those storylines with a chance to fail even at high success rate. I think regular voyages should be unlimited and we should get 20 special voyages per day. It would make it more accessable to new players.

Wasn't too sure about this one since the time lock is an essential part of the minigame, but every suggestion is helpful so I've forwarded it to the ports developers to ask if it's feasible. No response yet, though. ^_^

- Remove the grapple shortcut next to the bridge South of Lumbridge Swamp or remove the bridge connecting to Al Kharid. Both of them being there contradict each other.

- Ability to sit on any stationary bench, chair or stool anywhere in the game. We have the ability already implemented in a POH, Clan Citadels, and Clan Camps.

This thread should be a sticky.

As Rikornak explained, the shortcut has to remain for xp and materials, but personally I wouldn't mind seeing the bridge go regardless. (but given how hellbent on making everything super convenient Jagex are nowadays, fat chance)

As or the sitting, excellent idea, will add. Not sure how feasible it is since a lot of benches etc. have rather different graphics but who knows!

Add some auras in game up to supreme. I believe they should go in the Waiko rewards shop. T1 would cost 3k chimes 3 taijitu t2 6k chimes 6 taijitu t3 12k chimes 12 taijitu t4 25k chimes 25 taijitu.

Sorry, do you mean new auras or current auras from mtx? If the latter, I'm all for it, but adding all of them to one location that already has lots of rewards might not be the best idea. :P

Got a small suggestion for making a few more (post) quest rewards slightly more appealing:

- Change the mask of Dragith Nurn to a tier 10 power helm. If I can correctly recall it had some offensive bonuses before the EoC and this way it could be an alternative used at low levels for a while. Add an achievement for creating one once.
- Change the ram skull helm to a tier 30 power helm. It has a level 30 defence requirement, but worse stats than an iron helm.

Added, cheers.

When using deathtouch darts remove the chance of getting a rare drop. You still can get common drops.

The chance at something rare is literally the sole reason to use those things, since they do not give kill count, nor work at most modern bosses (I mean - exceptions are those you wouldn't use them on anyway). They're a waste of money if bought at the travelling merchant already.

Yeah normally I agree with the sentiment, but since they're rare and expensive enough (i.e. not obtainable from mtx...yet), it should be fine. If you remove their rare drops, there is little point in using them on bosses if not just for fun.

Added that the lorehound should help with magister journals.

(I like the tree patch since the crater is otherwise quite bland; I can't find the balloon suggestion anymore, maybe I had already removed it; I don't see how JMod events are relevant; yeah the BoL update removed the cellar :( - I think it should be accessible again)

Add a high value warning to disassembly of the ancient elven ritual shard. I've somehow accidentally disassembled one when tabbing out immediately after using it and it's a 30m item. Items worth 100k have high value warnings on them when you disassemble them, so 30m items should too. Worst part of all is it boils down to receiving 1x junk for 30m.

Dang. Sorry to hear. :(
