You can adjust the task assignments a little bit by spending slayer points. See this Wiki page for details:

Prefer them, block common tasks, use points to cancel - get 120 slayer cape and 20% to pick assignment. (must be wearing it when asking for task).

Adding them to the preferred list is an obvious step.

If you have Slayer VIP tokens then you will be offered a choice of two different assignments; that might increase your chance of getting edimmu tasks.

Laniakea also offers the "creatures of Daemonheim" task, which includes edimmu.
