Just saw this thread, I'm currently eyeing a chromebook for google file management and productivity. Seems people are able to play OSRS with crossover and the windows client. It would be really cool if it could be natively supported for the chromebook.
At the very least, unlock the android APK from the play store to be compatible with chromebooks.

It's 2019; ChromeOS is pretty popular nowadays.
Not quite, Chrome OS has a 5% market share or less. OSX is around 20%. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_share_of_operating_systems 5% is a lot. 1/20 users is a lot of people. Jagex should be attempting to get some of that market share.

I would very much like their to be chromebook support so I can actually play on something other than my phone...and although even if chromebooks are a smaller piece of the people that would be playing I believe that will grow relatively soon and definitely be worth being ahead of the curve.
Best you can do is install Linux on your chromebook and play it from there, that's how I launched osrs on my chromebook. It's way more comfortable to play than mobile and I have no idea why it isn't a thing yet to simply play osrs without linux.
