How many white partyhats do you think are still in circulation?

As the most popular phat color in the game, this means their supply cannot match their demand, which justifies its steep price. With the new skill coming, it can be expected that more fashionscape demand will come from the new cape that goes well with white.

But how many are actually out there being traded day to day? How many will be left to be traded?

While the blue partyhat has historically been the 'end game' partyhat, it's not clear that it's dominance may hold for long. In July 2019, blues were 18b and whites were 15b, so only 3b gap.

I also base this off of my 12-year experience in the partyhat market: often the most popular partyhat merchants themselves will not have a white to sell.

So what are your thoughts? How many white phats are left, and being actively traded, in the game?

FYI: I own every single phat color.
If you are willing to chuck your most precious possessions like phats because someone said words like crashing/dying/quitting and then find yourself unable to rebuy for what you sold for, then you don't deserve to own a phat.

Btw, white being favorite color phat isn't my opinion. There was a big survey on forums a year ago or so and white was most popular color by a large margin. If you are willing to chuck your most precious possessions like phats because someone said words like crashing/dying/quitting and then find yourself unable to rebuy for what you sold for, then you don't deserve to own a phat.

It isn't nice to plagiarize. At least come up with something original. You've nearly copied my post on blue partyhats word by word.

You make some good points Sea King. Even going back to 2006 to 2007 I found it easier to acquire blue phats over white phats.

My only proof is personal experience and this screenshot I took back then which is better than that one guys anecdotes on blues.

Interesting screenshot xsin god.

Yes, whites are a bit more common in cracker than blues but initial supply doesn't determine everything. Just look at purples. Their initial supply (initial cracker pulls + dupe from many years back) has since dwindled and recently they have overtaken yellow and occasionally green in market price.

As more and more fashionscape items like upcoming new cape are introduced that go well with white, the demand for white will increase while total supply remains fixed (or even less in case of owners getting banned, etc.) The total supply in circulation will drop as more fashionscape demand increases more whites getting keepsaked.

I have owned a blue phat and a white phat over the years and it's really hard to find outfits that go well with blue. For example, 120 def cape looks nice but blue phat is too dark and clashes with the light blue in the cape.

Seems like a lot of people have whites, but it's kind of an end game partyhat, lot of people like it for the looks so they just hold onto it.

I get the sense that a ton of people have reds too, I imagine there's a ton of those in circulation but maybe it's just a popular color.

i think alot of available whites arent traded because players that got banned for rwt^ or botting.

also some players aquired a phat and then just left and stopped playing. i have a friend who has a purple but didnt login for like 2 years. combining that theory with the low amount of whites compared to the other rares beneath it and the upcoming new skillcape colour. we could assume this is just the beginning of an era where white might outdo blue. but we can only speculate.

^ I agree. Blue partyhats only match master magic capes which is one of the noobiest master capes considering how easy it is to get now.

White partyhats have so much potential to pass blue partyhats. White partyhats match so many more options for master capes including archaeology, prayer, constitution, defence, magic, runecrafting, construction, and summoning.
