The Kingdom of Asgarnia rarely knows rest. If it's not Kinshra beating at the walls of Falador, it's gods warring overhead, it's monsters bubbling up from the depths of long-forgotten dungeons. It's demons, both metaphorical and literal, tearing themselves from Infernus or lurking in the hearts of men. Even the strongest must eventually kneel to their past if they don't learn to overcome it, and such is the theme the current King is going through. His past has haunted him long enough, and he's finally taken long strides towards resolving the problems, ensuring that they never creep back up on him. He can't afford to make mistakes and he won't let himself be caught off guard. Except, he's forgotten one thing..
As king, he's responsible for the safety of the entire kingdom.
Wrapped up in his own head, he's released a public letter condemning and damning a cult in his past, yet in the same strokes of the quill, he's admitted to harnessing potentially illegal, unholy magics. He's shirked his responsibility, passing all the work on to those under him without relinquishing the mantle, throwing himself out in to the wilds in pursuit of ghosts that may not linger anymore. This has left a certain level of unease in the population - Did he really do everything he said he's done? Or is he just antagonizing the creatures in the dark, turning their hungry eyes this way? Some celebrate, some mourn, all are affected. After all,
What's in a name?
