Hello Scapers! Yesterday the Ninjas introduced some changes to the way Action Bars work with custom interface layouts. The specific change we're referring to in the patch notes is as follows:

"Players can also save the toggle states of their additional action bars with custom interface layouts. This will only apply to layouts saved after today’s update"

We realise this hasn't been the best explanation of the change as we've seen some confusion about the change so we want to clarify what's going on.

Prior to yesterdays update, if any combination of the additional action bars were enabled, switching between custom interface layouts would move the additional action bars:

1. to wherever they were saved in the custom layout
2. to a default position if they were not saved in a custom layout
3. to a default position if using a default layout.

However, there was no control as to how many additional action bars were visible in any given layout and players would be stuck with the same amount every time.

Yesterdays change was included to allow players to have control over how many additional action bars are visible in a custom interface layout. For example, you may now choose to have additional action bars 1 and 2 on custom layout 1, and additional action bars 1, 2, and 3 on custom layout 2.

So, if you find that your additional action bars are disappearing, this is because you will now have to save what number of additional action bars are visible in your custom interface layout. However, you cannot specify which action bar preset is unique to each interface layout. This was not the case before yesterdays update and is still not the case. As a reminder, you can do this for each custom interface layout by going to Gameplay Settings -> Combat & Action Bar -> Action Bar and enabling any additional action bars to your preference. Then you must save your custom interface layout so that it remembers how many additional action bars are visible for that preset.

So to reiterate:

1. You can customise how many additional action bars are visible on any custom interface layout.
2. You cannot customise which action bar presets are visible on any custom interface layout.

To address further confusion about action bar presets changing when switching layouts, if loading an interface layout with more additional action bars visible than the previous one, it will choose the first available action bar presets.

Following your feedback from yesterdays update, we do see a need for a way to load a set of action bar presets into the UI more easily, but we don't believe the interface presets are the most appropriate place to do so.

In the meantime, we're looking to add a hotfix for players who have yet to log in since yesterdays update which will stop action bars from clearing on screen when switching between layouts. This is to avoid any further confusion.

I have 2 extra action bars that I want to have up at all times (regardless of style equipped). When I save the preset with those specific bars and then reload it it puts different bars in their place. The Action bar->Display Additional Action Bars setting also gets changed. Any word on this?

yesterday you also destroy greater ricochet, is seriously? what difference is there now between ricochet and greater ricochet 2 hits from 800 to 1k damage? to the same target? Are 1.6k extra damage worth my 1.5b? carroming is no longer an option because 4 hits from 150 to 300 are useless to me

You don't deserve applause, you completely destroyed a skill even after declaring in a live, you wouldn't nerf greater ricochet, now my money and skill have been smashed, because snipe hits a lot more than "greater" ricochet, so? What is the greater part of this skill that I would not buy even for 5m? if you hit max 3.5k with elder overload? when snipe without overload it hits much more and costs nothing? Even fragmentation shot hits more, we must be happy because there are 2 more bars and more archeology wow!
