@Kings Abbot - I'm not the mod that took action, but upon inspection, I don't think it's really derailing, just using other examples of things in-game as context. It makes sense to me within the discussion of the thread.

Also, in the future, it'd be better to use FMR for this sort of thing.

Cheers!

@Japonchik - This thread is unfortunately not for help with things that happen in-game, and is to get for forum related requests.

Also, I'm sad to tell you that there's unfortunately nothing that can be done about your situation. I feel for you, that's a very sad thing to happen. My condolences!

@Njpebbles48 - I appreciate the report, however I've looked into this and I find there are enough difference between both that this really doesn't constitute plagiarism at this moment. However, if you disagree with my decision, always feel free to submit to Forum Moderation Review.

Cheers!

Dilbert and C A Z - to mince no words, you are not to use Forum Help to report other players' Forum Help posts as a form of furthering this animosity between you both.

Please refrain from any use of Forum Help in this manner going forward. If there's something in a thread to report by another user that you feel breaks the rules, by all means please report it, but do not use this thread to further spur on what is clearly a personal argument between yourselves.

Reporting other peoples' Forum Help posts is a no-go here. Forum Help reports are for the mods to deal with, and if you think that a mod has acted in a way you disagree with, please submit a report to Forum Moderation Review. I'm aware that it's not possible for us to hide reports as soon as they come in to keep them fully private, but there should be a modicum of respect when it comes to your fellow users' use of Forum Help.

@Dilbert2001 - Firstly, if you're concerned about another post in a thread that hasn't been actioned, it's a much better idea to just report that post to see if it needs moderating, as I believe requesting clarification as to WHY other posts in the thread weren't moderated is outside the scope of the use of a clarification on Forum Help, and is better suited to just a straight-up Forum Help report.

The idea of a clarification post in Forum Help is more-so, "why was my post hidden/my thread locked?" or "why was I warned for this?" and not "why didn't you hide this other post in this thread?" which would fall under just a simple report of said post if you believe it's breaking rules.

Secondly, as to your report. The user in question answered a question you posed that, as far as I see it, is slightly outside of the scope of that thread. While this happening once is fine, you continued that thread of discussion and then said user replied to you and pointed this out, which also serves to further derail the thread as that is also off-topic.

As you and the user in question being reported have a storied forum history of arguing ad-infinitum on threads, I believe that asking a question and getting an answer, even if it's a bit outside the scope of the thread is fine, once... but then more often than not that leads to a back and forth argument with said other party that takes the thread off-topic, which it was beginning to do.

Thus, upon reviewing it, I believe the two posts you're requesting clarification on are fine to leave in the thread, but the two following is where the thread begins to truly go off-topic, and thus were hidden for derailment.

I hope that clarifies things.
