Would love to see an implementation for replenishing run energy like we had in pre-eoc. Either a rest function to sit and gain energy faster or areas to listen to a musician (maybe with music) in each of the major cities.
Just food for thought as I know this may create less of a demand for stamina pots.
Thank you all for your feedback although I respectfully disagree with the above posts; this rest function could be balanced accordingly as to not change the usage and mechanics of stamina potions and graceful outfit, whilst still keeping a respectful balance.
Firstly the rest function requires the player to be completely stationary for the time period that they are resting, allowing it to be used differently to stamina potions and graceful, as the time can be as such that it would not be feasible for experience rates while skilling or questing to rest. Secondly this can be balanced by reducing the rate at which the run energy is recharged; for example making it more useful when socialising and not utilising run energy (like standing at the grand exchange) instead of when you would currently use a stamina potion or graceful.
The overall idea of this function in my view would be similar to the restoration pool in a POH, so used to restore run energy when the player is not doing an activity, but over a longer time period and accessible to everyone (Almost like a poor man's stamina potion, or balanced to make it as such so as not to devalue them).
