If Poll Question 8 passes and the Dragon Pickaxe is obtainable via the Mining skill, where should it come from? The highest voted option will win.

Ok so the question is basically:
Should we add an extra reward to content you are certainly going to do anyway.

Don't even bother with the poll and just add it to Motherlode Mine, it's guaranteed to win.

This would have been a perfect opportunity to give the Volcanic Mine a little bonus. What a shame.

I agree with you, Mike Lt. It's pretty obvious that Poll Question #8:"Should the Dragon Pickaxe be obtainable via the Mining skill, to be offered from a source determined by question #9?", is going to pass and out of all the proposed methods from Poll Question #9, The Motherlode Mine is going to be the clear winner. It's a shame because I was advocating for The Dragon Pickaxe to become available from The Volcanic Mine for quite a while now. It's a piece of content that needs rejuvenation and this would be the perfect opportunity. It would bring an amazing incentive (apart from the ash covered tome), and more players would want to learn it. The experience itself is also really good. I understand that Jagex is letting us decide and I appreciate that greatly, but it seems like the clear cut winner is already chosen.

Anyways, keep up the great work guys! Looking forward to the Wilderness Boss Rework.

just a thought - in this wilderness rework i think something should be done about the ancient crystal. It is a unique drop from revs that has been at alch value since the rev re work.

I think generally unique drops shouldnt be at alch value - would be nice to see them incorporated somehow whether you can involve it in the weapon upgrades or something else.

Is it going to be as good as hydra/vork with zero interruptions? Because in that case there's no point. Dead content.

It should be waay better than the above if you have no interruption, but in reality there's going to be tons and tons of interruptions.

That is the balancing factor

100% agree with this. I also think the rev boss should drop a unique, like a new dark bow.

I don't find any reason to play if the only content we have is revs and even then its not even that profitable.

They added a teleport timer, that's great, but they didn't improve the rewards to compensate, and the boss is not worth it

I have to say no thank you to the colour choice for the voidwaker sword. I believe it should use the colour palate taken from elite void robe top and bottoms. Black/white/greys/hue of light green from the elite robe bottoms etc... Would make sense more lore-wise if it's a sword that has ties with void.

Please put detail into the design of this sword. It will be one of the BIS swords for a long time coming so it should match it's lore and still look appealing to the eye. Maybe it could be the first animated sword. Maybe it can have a white shroud of smoke around the blade with a particle effect trail when the player walks around with it.

OR maybe just port over the korasi sword because it's design and inventory icon design was beautiful and nostalgic?

Im still extremely confused why we are trying to fix something that is broken by adding more of the same but in a different format.

Hasn’t it been proven that adding PvM in the wildy does not lead to a better PvP experience?

Why don’t you guys come up with a real strategy to revive PvP and leave PvM out of the wilderness? Like mentioned above, no PvM-er would choose content in the wildy over content elsewhere, because you will get interrupted during your kills, you cannot flex in your best gear and generally, most people don’t like to deal with the toxicity that rules the PvP society.

From this blog post I sense that you know this very well already, and it’s great to see the dragon pickaxe removed from wildy bosses/ also added to places outside of the wildy (not sure what you were proposing).

So let’s just agree that there are roughly 3 groups of players, that have different playstyles, different goals for their accounts and different social behavior, and just let them co-exist. The players that want to take part in all of the game will always find a way to do so, but the majority of the players are PvM of skilling based. Don’t force them into the wilderness like baiting a deer into a lions den. Create a better PvP experience, sp they may volentarily give PvP a shot.

Also consider it from a new player perspective. What will get them into PvP? Surely not the toxic behavior shown by a lot of them. Maybe start there? Work on a culture change. It’s not easy, maybe even a mission impossible, but if you want PvP to be accessible for many, then it’s probably the best thing to change.
