People asked for negatives, I provide and then am told to stop caring about what others do.

watdo.

How is an inherent way the skill is trained a negative for something completely unrelated?

Is it a negative to Prestige that nobody uses Prickly Pear seeds?

I don't care that AlmostLost almost killed him/her/itself trying to get the first 99 in Divination. If they HAD died, I'd have found it humorous that they'd have succeeded but got nothing but regret out of it in whatever life comes after this one.

It doesn't change the way I play, and it shouldn't. Hell, people's stupidity has affected me enough in that I have to continually relaunch the client instead of being able let it sit there inbetween gaming sessions because of the stupid 6 hour thing, but I don't care. It doesn't make my gaming experience any less enjoyable that someone else was dumb, or (in regards to training) does things differently. That's what you shouldn't be caring about, but typically, trolls turn a statement into something completely different.

I WISH that would be true. Your statements are in theory perfect and expect everyone to play nicely and social.

What will happen :
Players will buy all gems from GE, make TONS of str ammies because they give the most exp for their levels, COMPLETELY disregarding other options (or perhaps bracelets are the fastest exp rate? a well)
It will be a rush and people won't be reinventing a brimhaven shop. And dont expect twenty people running towards it to sell their jewelry. and even if they do, they will only lower the value the shops buy it from, since that's what shops do when they get overstocked.

I have taught hundreds of players through my ten years about runescape before runescape wiki became a decent option.
Trust me all they asked were "how do i quickest make money" and "where is the best place for me to train?"

I usually answered with "just play the game, the millions come by themselves" , or give them tips that gave them millions that no one thought of, like making money off prayer, or firemaking, rather than selling resources for the money.

Your points are unfortunately naive, but I see you want the same as I : A better place and people actually coming together and work together.

I see some posts on this thread, and they remind me of people that refuse to dungeon with somebody because they are only 20 dungeoneering or 50 dungeoneering.

While I don't mine iron or clay anymore, because with my level, it is not worth my time, if I prestiged, I would go to the iron and clay spots and mine them again, but this time I would use divination for banking the ores and such and would advice the new players there to train divination because it would be useful for banking and would help them then attain higher mining lvls faster.

I am sure there are a small minority, like me in the game, where if we prestiged would make new players feel welcomed.

And where do you expect to train these new players? In free worlds?
Most members start being a member at mid-high levels,

Also that thought hadn't occured to me.. is it the idea then that maxed lvl 99's suddenly go level in free worlds and don't pay membership?

It allows people to show they love a skill, more-so than the current system. It can also provide a boost to the economy, especially in regards to income for skillers (who suffer in ALL regards compared to pvm/bossing).

If I had any 99s, I'd stop working on them to get other skills to 99 because there is zero benefit to me getting them to 200m. If Prestige comes about, there's no TANGIBLE reward for prestiging, but I do gain some benefit.

Wouldn't it be better to fix the dead mini-games, content that people in all levels can enjoy? After all I do believe that most people that play rs rather have something to enjoy while they are online e.g. a good mini-game, sw, fog**** etc etc could really use an update. You can only train a repetitive skill for so long until you get bored and want to do something else.

Why one or the other? Why not both? And do you honestly think that someone who can do Nex or KK or Vorago or Fight Kiln is going to do Pest Control? If they even prestige all their combat stats at the same time?

Unless they make UNTRADEABLE rewards, which are only effective when they are limited, and don't come from every single thing in existence ever, you're not going to get that.

Mini-games is something that will be appreciated by people in all levels and mini-games is one of the reasons why rs was so good back in the days. I really hope you take this under consideration.

Vote N0 there are better ways to make rs fun again.

Or vote yes, and make the rest of the game better
AT THE SAME TIME

The only reason to add this to the game is so that maxed payers will have something to do. I for one is against this, this doesn't add anything to the game, if you want to prestige just create a new account and problem solved. Starting from scratch offers a way bigger challenge then just resetting your stats. Also after gaining 200m xp do you really think people will be interested in getting another 200m or 400m xp or whatever?

I have a noob account that I train mainly by dungeoning right now or was training by dungeoning. Since divination came out, I see it almost or more important then dungeoning in how it effects other skills.

If I prestiged on this account, I could use bone crusher to train low levels of prayer, use imp to pick up charms, and use many other things that are useless for me to use right now.

I have 4k of extreme str and att potions from herb training and probably won't use, but if I prestiged and retrained my combat and slayer levels I could use them up. It is the same with many of the things in my bank, like my maple logs from Manage Thy Kingdom.

Combine prestige with bonds, and there should be tons of new p2p members. Jagex tries to give the community tools to grow the game, and the community flips out over bonds and prestige.

Please update the Skill Capes graphics, they do not fit well with most eoc gear due to the simply fact that they have remained the same while much of the other gear in the game has evolved graphics wise. Many of the capes emotes could also sincerely use a look into making better, i feel a vote for such a change would be much appreciated by much of the Runescape community.

lol everything is still faster in members, even if only dwarven army axe and such.

Now you're just grasping at any random excuse against prestige. And it sucks people have to deny other fun, even though it has no effect on that and most of all it's completely optional.

Even if certain resources go up, it opens opportunity for players to make even more gp/other resources by collecting them.

I voted no. Thanks for actually caring about what we think. You should do that more often, honestly. People who have played the game 1000's of hours have a pretty good idea of why that did it, what was fun, and what is garbage.
