When you right-click the "Astroth" NPC in Lumbridge Castle courtyard and select the "Examine" option, the examine text reads "A collector of ancient artefacts." Not sure if this is intentional or not, but I figured I'd bring it to the JaGex team's attention. Here to help your needs :)

Hey there,

My research, through a popular search engine, indicates that the plural noun: artefacts is correct:Original message details are unavailable.
Artifact carries the same meaning as artefact. They are two different spellings of the same word. Artifact is the standard form in American English, but it is also widely used in British English.
Even though this isn't really a typo or misspelling technically, if you were to happen across one you'd want to report it through the in-game interface under the Text & Audio category. More about this process can be found in the How to Report a Bug support article.

It is indeed a 'colour/color' thing. 'Artefacts' is the prefered spelling in British English and for that matter is the way I was taught to spell it. As Jagex is based in the United Kingdom, their choice of spelling is appropriate.

Of course, typo's do exist in-game and they are regularly amended. Report them through the bug report feature if you come across one.

As an archaeologist by training, I can confirm that both 'artifacts' and 'artefacts' are correct.

Also, typos can be reported using the in-game reporting feature, which gets the information to the right people faster - there is no real need to post about them on the forums ;)
