Another patch week, sigh.

This is absolutely not a patch week...

Can you then point out for me what's new content in the update? Because I don't see it.

Thanks for the update.

Guys give Jagex a break they just hosted us a 72 Hour Double Xp Weekend!

Also, there is new content in the game from the update, if you wasn't so lazy to read the full post.

"Hosting" a dxp weekend is a matter of toggling the multiplier of exp rates in the game, it's hardly hard work at all, let alone new content which is what matters for people who want something new and interesting to do. Not to mention that dxp weekends shouldn't even exist anymore, because they damage the game's economy and add to the dailyscape problem.

I'll also ask you since the jmod hasn't responded: can you please point out what's the new content with this update? Because I must have a different version of the news post, as I've read it several times and still cannot find what's new content in the live game.

Summer skill off is new content, hasn't been in the game before, also the new outfit Shadow Reef diver.

You must be daft as they come to think Jagex don't do anything over Xp weekends.

Also, You don't even play the game, why do you post here each week to just troll the forums. Move Along.

Summer skill-off is a MTX promotion, it does not count as new content, because it's designed to be a boring grind on purpose which you are expected to pay to skip, rather than earn via gameplay. Actual new content is what's designed to be fun and to be played, not paid to be skipped.

Of course Jagex has some staff still working during weekends for certain tasks that require 24/7 oversight, but having a dxp weekend does not add to that in any major way. And again, dxp weekends shouldn't even be a thing anymore in the first place, so even if it was hard work for them, it could be rid of without anything of value being lost.

I'm not trolling, I'm criticizing because Jagex is not delivering even the same level of content as it used to prior to massively increasing its monetization. As an example, if someone asked you to pay $10 for a cup of coffee, that cup of coffee would need to out of this world to be worth that price, so if Jagex is also expecting us players to spend so much more money on this game, then it's only fair to at least expect the same level of delivery as before, is it not?

Forgot to cover the shadow reef diver (see post #10 on previous page regarding summer skill-off): it's only available to those with premier club, so it's still nothing new for regular members (and you can't buy premier club now either), but even then, because it's a mere outfit unlock that you don't need to earn via gameplay, it's hardly new content because you don't do anything new to get it, and having it doesn't add anything new and interesting for you to do. You'll just look different while doing the same content you already have.
