i tried 12 times to click the e mail, it never came up.

here's my thoughts:

the message so far has been good. lost me at mobile tho.

at the comment on quests. imo, if the godquests continue, i'm still gone. if the template of i am a moron who will do whatever a malevolent being demands so i can finish the quest and get an "award", then i am still gone.

on mobile. if rs3 follows suit with osrs then it will see a surge initially but then fall back to normal usage by players per hr. whether this results in higher subs, idk.

monetization. manipulative enticements should not be tolerated, even if the garbage product of garbage cosmetics is the enticement. whether hidden behind a paywall in order to participate, or manipulations that ensure a portion of the player base cannot complete an event without paying to complete it. if the enticements overly artificially generate xp/gp, this should not be tolerated. calling it a drop in the ocean, so, it doesn't matter should not be tolerated. if it is only a drop then why nerf xp and gp rates in actual game content. nerf one and buff the other?

if this: " it must feel authentically a part of it, while giving the players more choice". means hidden behind paywalls and or an unequal distribution based on mtx. that won't work.

good luck, you're gonna need it.

Since they couldn't even ask a question properly and allowed him not to answer properly I don't see much point to that. I think you should be sharing your data information with the british government on your duty of care issues properly and stop lying.

I had that problem as well. I got around it by using "copy link" and pasting it into notepad. That allowed me to copy the actual address and paste it into an outgoing message in my email client.
Received an auto-ack shortly after sending the message, too. Nice touch.

The government in the UK are debating whether paying for chances to win items to enhance gameplay is classed as gambling or not. The issue is whether it entices young people into more gambling because they see it in game.

Unfortunately, this only applies in the UK, I would imagine that Jagex will manage to get around it somehow especially given the message from Mod Warden implying the 'monetisation' is going to be important.

The impression I got, which I hope is wrong, is that they are just going to look at introducing more methods of getting money out of players outside the membership fees.

I despair because, despite the number of people who do buy into MTX, I think the player base has made it clear it's not wanted; Jagex have ignored the players on this for years. I don't think that Jagex are any more likely to listen to what players want despite this message from Mod Warden. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

No that's exactly what he said, they won't remove loot boxes which at least he used the term til they are forced to by law and mtx is needed because free to play aren't members so he is basically going to add more mtx and there's no point to him at all.

I was hoping against hope that they would be forced to remove MTX and then they'd have to find another way of generating income. I don't think everyone would agree but I have never had a problem with an increase in membership - I'm on a grandfathered rate and I'm sure that I could stand to pay a bit more.

And, at the very least, people would know what they were paying per month/year and we wouldn't have people paying thousands out for keys/bonds and putting themselves into debt. Plus any ingame advantage would only be got from ingame effort!

Shouldn't need to be forced. The thought that a human with kids of their own could allow something like that. The game is dead and there's not a thing this greedy noob is going to do about it except ruin osrs.

I agree completely. But it seems that moral standards die a death when it comes to profit and greed.

"I know that monetisation is a very hot topic among our players. I see it as my job to ensure that monetisation takes a form that adds to your experience, not detracts from it. The truth is that membership alone is not sufficient to keep the game healthy and evolving."

He's already off to a rough start with me. Monetization simply cannot add to the player's experience in a positive way. The last sentence in that quote is a clear bald-faced lie. If the parasites *Ahem* I mean investors didn't pocket all the cash it wouldn't be a fucking problem in the first place.

At least he's hopeful. Hope the Chinese are paying him enough to be the public face of this fraud.
