Went to the new island on the 9th July, I walked up and down several times. Then got bored and went home.
I went back today and it's still just a beach. Sent in another bug report. Might try again next month

I did the first time. After my first unsuccessful trip I was told to head all the way east past the paw prints then on the way back you will meet a dino. No long winded back and forth conversations with NPC. I always find NPC's lack logic, they give you four options non of which one would ask, leaving me confused ,'why would I ask that?'

OK, so go back click all the irrelevant replies, then when I go up and down the beech several more times a dino WILL appear .
