Previous report methods with < + have worked a lot better and gave more accurate representation. instead of saying 'torva instant bought for 23.4b, that's an inaccurate report since it's one persons buy.
The point of the threads using b/s is to report the "most recent Grand Exchange transaction", and b/s works well for that. You don't need ranges handed to you. This is item discussion, not "flip help"
As for the `Flip chat' thing it's kinda dumb to associate a collection of prices with a friends' chat. I don't get why you feel it necessary to include that part when giving a list.
A lot of threads use b/s, and there's no stopping others reporting how they want. If you're so inclined you can go through the thread to find previous reports and get your own idea of what the price is.
From what I've gathered, anyway, the +/< system Nex and SS status used was a reskin essentially.
Original message details are unavailable.
This indicates the last transaction was equal to or under the price, was either an INB or NIS and was rounded up. Examples: INB 22,000,001/NIS 22,095,000/INB 22,595,000/ NIS 23,000,000 would all be inticated as <23.

Nex and SS was created when it actually only did list Nex items and spirit shields.
Other items were released, and since no thread picked them up, Nex and SS did.
Nothing's stopping someone from making other threads now that this is only Nex items, but honestly, a thread that only PCs LotD (for example) wouldn't be the greatest, especially as a lot of the items weren't commonly traded. May as well consolidate them into one larger thread than having 50 smaller threads that rarely get updated.
