When he came of age, he was given his father's anti-fire shield and eventually prevailed in his trials by using it to confront a real dragon in it's cave, withstanding it's firebreath until it grew frustrated and skulked off, at which point he recovered one of it's fallen scales from the ground and took it before the council of Elders, winning the vote into manhood unanimously (this is how he tells it, of course). His father Ysruald was proud of him, and inducted him into the Robertssworn, a small party of Fremmeniks who devoted their lives to the hatred of Dragons in honor of Robert the Strong. As Robertsson, Ruald learned how to combat the dragons, how to evade them, and how to protect from them. He also spent time learning of their purported history, especially pertaining to the Dragonkin. In the aftermath of V's death at the hands of the Dragonkin, Ruald has wandered the land looking for a weapon with which to combat them. He has long since forgotten the danger the dragons pose in favor of attempting to stop their malevolent creators.

Character Name: Dentor Thorvaldsson, but better known as Dentor Sharpshield

Race: Human

Age: 32

Occupation: Captain of the Karve V's Fist, Merchant, Warrior

Religious Views: V-ism(or Heroism)

Appearance: Dentor is a broad-chested man of average Fremennik height and weight, his thick brown hair is kept together by a braid, and a magnificent beard covers his square jaw. Battles, work and his time in the wilderness have left many scars on his body. A tattoo of a howling wolf can be found on his upper left arm, extending onto his shoulder and chest.
Dentor sports a tunic of daggermouth hide, warm leggings woven out of oxhair, a fine pair of leather boots stained with salt from the sea and a heavy cloak of white wolfhide.

Personality: Dentor has always been a traditionalist, respecting the old ways of his people, while being cautious when outlanders visit the province. A man of honour, Dentor refrains from foul play and bribery, he thinks that helping his people is the greatest honour there is. Despite this, Dentor was curious about the world when he was just a child. This curiousity has persisted into manhood, and this has driven Dentor to become a bit of an explorer.

Other Information: Oh boy, this is an old character of mine that I've finally decided to bring back!

Brief History: Dentor was raised in Rellekka by his father Thorvald, a fisherman and captain of his own Byrding. Dentor quickly learnt of the traditions of his people, and was taught how to spear fish and maneuver a ship. He later enlisted in the Rellekkan guard, where he was given proper training. During his service, Dentor befriended Thorkir Bravery, a man he would fight and conduct diplomacy with. He later enlisted in the crew of the longship Gripen and served under Captain Eirikr Arnrsson. When Eirikr died from an infection, Dentor was named the new captain.

Unfortunately, he would not keep this post for long, as he was caught up in a foul Autumn storm far up in the North, and his longship was smashed against the cliffs, killing everyone but a handful souls. With no trees suitable for making a new ship available, and with the cliffs making it impossible to simply follow the shore down south, the survivors headed East, in hopes of later turning South. The survivors were caught up in a snowstorm, and they lost their bearing. They eventually ended up in the troll mountains, but were quickly captured by the namesakes of the place. Dentor alone managed to escape and for years lived in the mountains all alone, having given up on finding his way home. The gods must have smiled upon him, for he was later found by Raltin Avarr, a fellow Fremennik and seer, whom offered the half-starved man food and water before returning him to civilization. This experience has changed Dentor, and he is much more appreciative of the small things in life.

Preferred Weapon If Any: Dentor�s weapon of choice is the sword he was given by Thorkir years ago as an act of friendship and honour.

Character Name: Raltin Avarrson (Avarr for short)

Race: Human, proud member of the Fremennik tribe.

Age: Forty-three (and still kicking!)

Occupation: Shaman, Seer, Wiseman (that loveable old guy you always return to after you finish some great quest), but he is an adventurer through and through, so he travels a lot, you might not always see him home at Rellekka.

Religious Views: Thinks Guthix is dead, and accepts it. Does his best to follow V's example to be a hero (he is finding it hard to accept that V is dead, and thinks he is still out there somewhere).

Appearance: Brown hair, green eyes. Average height. The clothes he wears are not furs but water resistant flax, dyed blue from the flax flower (family tradition), water resistant because he goes sailing often (he loves fishing in his spare time). The clothes are trimmed with grey dagannoth leather, to provide protection, and he wears some specially molded rock crab shell armor underneath the cloth for further protection when he needs it (check the stats, that stuff is stronger than adamant and lighter than bronze: talk about a useful armor the Fremennik have access to eh?).

Personality: The way he acts varies widely. He is usually a no-nonsense kind of guy when the situation is serious, but he loves good jokes and rough play when he's downed a beer keg or two and has had some good food in the longhall. So he can be very... eccentric at times.

Other Information: As part of his Guthixian past; in his youth he spent quite a good deal of time with the druids in Taverley, and since summoning doesn't use runes, he quickly took to the art of summoning with great passion. Today, he could be called a master of the art.

If you don't remember me, I'm a Fremennik veteran, I go all the way back to brave jon's Rellekka rp. If that doesn't ring any bells, I'm also the lore and guides admin on the Rs Rp wikia, I handle the construction and maintenance of lore on the wikia.

So if any of you want a good source of Fremennik information, you'll find it right there. Although, with the stuff with V it could use just a little more refining, but the guide's almost as good as it can get right now (I made the guide a few months ago, the information is still good, it just needs a little more added and some images here and there to make it more visually appealing). So browse to your heart's content

Lastly, I'd like to give Mod Mark a big thumb's up, glad to see you taking part in the rp community! And if I had the chance, I wouldn't mind talking to you about a few things in the rp community, I think getting some one-on-one time with a mod would be pretty darn great (only ever talked to a mod in-game once, very busy people 0_o).

Also... Mod Mark likes Fremennik... one of his favorite hang-out spots is right outside Daemonheim (so I've heard). Coincidence? I think not!

Oh, and Mod Mark, if you see this, I need to ask you: can you make it so that the hati hat finally shows a beard on the male model? That's something that's always kind of bugged me and my friends for some time -that open face part of the wolf skin hat, but you can't see the beard underneath?- If you can do that for me, I'd be your friend forever man. Hey, would be a great thing for a ninja update, don't you think?

In the aftermath of V's death, the Fremennik are out for vengance against the Dragonkin, and an organisation by the name of the Robertssworn has given them an opportunity to take it. Their leader, Ruald Ysrualdsson, has told them of a weakness, a deposit of ore uncovered in the wake of V's death.

But it is guarded.

The first expedition sent was almost all captured, but the few who survived came back telling tales of a fire breathing man-dragon stealing away with miners back to it's lair. Now the Fremennik are set on a second expedition, accomplishing what the first expedition could not and obtaining the mysterious ore called "Bane". Rumored to be the same material used by Robert the Strong to drive the Dragonkin into hiding, the Fremennik hope to use it to fight the Dragonkin, but first they must prepare for a perilous journey by picking up fire-resistant gear and potions to help protect from their adversaries.

This is a call to arms. A signal to the Fremennik not to back down, that the Dragonkin are killable, and that we need to take the fight to them.
