The RS Forumers Discord server is an off-site place dedicated to every user of the RSOF. This is a friendly and open community that welcomes everyone to join. There is no requirement to be a member of the server. However, we do want to make sure every member is safe and we want to keep everything in the server appropriate. Below are the rules:

Rules of the RS Forumers Discord Server:



1.
Be respectful to other users. No personal attack or bullying of any forms allowed.
2.
Cussing is allowed in moderate use. However, don’t cuss excessively.
3.
Do not post pornography and links to porn sites.
4.
Do not post gore images (dead animal / human / bloody / ect )
5.
Speaking of links, you can post links but make sure they are safe for other users.
6.
Do not spam the chat. If you need to see your stats and stuff, use the “runeinfo” channel
7.
All users are equal, regardless of moderator status.
8.
Flaming: If a moderator sees that you are flaming a user, he / she will mute / kick / or remove you from the server if needed.
+We do not allow you to talk trash behind any jmod's / fmod's / pmod's or another forumer's back.
9.
No political & religious & racial topics are allow in the server.
10.
No naming & flaming in the server.
11.
Do not post sensitive materials that can errupt into a religious / racial / political discussions.
12.
Do not make comments with a sole purpose to get negative response from other users.
13.
Do not attempt to test the rules or try to find loopholes in them.
14.
Do not invite any member of the server to do illegal activities, even in DM.
15.
If you have an offensive name, we'll change it without telling you first. If you have an offensive profile picture, you will be forced to change it or banned.

Violations and Strikes System



We do have an automation system that records every time a user break rules. We are an open community. However, if you are too inappropriate, you will be removed from the server. Here are the violations / strikes system.

Every time you receive a kick / mute, it counts as 1 strike. After 3 strikes, you will be removed from the server. After a period of time you have not committed any offense, your marks will be removed. We do so because we think everyone can learn and change.

There are offenses that will receive instant ban. For example: if you post a naked grandma pic, you will receive instant ban. Funny example but I think you know what I mean

As the server owner, I have told current users of the server, we will not mute / kick a user because of any personal problem such as ( I don't like you in the RSOF, so I'll kick you ) That's power abuse and there will be appropriate actions against power abusers.

Saying that does not mean you can ignore moderators. Please, listen to them.

If there is a fight in the server, I understand when people are mad, they will throw everything at their enemy. But, please do your best to control the situation. If moderators see that the fight continues, you will be temporarily muted.

We have added a new notification system for the server.

You now can choose to be notified for any activity in Runescape that you like to be reminded of such as Sinkhole, Warbands, Seren clans, ect.

I decided to move it from Clan recruitment to general because the server is accepting all people to join. :P Cheer

However, rules are still needed to be followed. Plus, in the clan recruitment section, I had to bump so much. This section is more relaxing. I only need to bump it a couple to a few times a day and general section is the most visited are of the RSOF.

I had to remove you when the server first started because we were dealing with trolls (the ones that caused trouble in the Off Topic section and got permanent banned by Jaggy). So, I had to verify everyone to make sure they were who they said they were. I tried to contact you to verify but couldn't.

However, we are at the stage where nobody can do shit to us now, so we are accepting every player to join (including non RSOF users) If the trolls come now, I'll embarrass the boo out of them my way and send them to the grave. :P

I have to admit that I've always been cautious around going into Discord, but I'd just like to ask if it's OK if I can join it myself?

Our server is open for all to join, so you can join any time you like :P

For safety caution, do not click suspicious links. We have a system in our server that locks potentially dangerous links. However, you still need to be smart.

Speaking of being targeted, hackers target those that are dumb, so be smart and don't click bad links.

I think I need to verify one thing that I don't run the server by myself. Every decision made in the server is voted by the admin team (listed on page 1) and me. We decide things based on votes of the majority.

For the stuff that are needed to be viewed by the majority of people, I let users of the server know first and gather their opinions.

No, congratz to the entire server :P

I can't take all credits. The admins team and officers have done an exceptionally good job. The atmosphere in the server is nice. There are users who make sure we are up to date with all RS news and people who help out whichever way they could. We are looking forward to 500 users milestone. :)

@Lisaa, yes this server did ask for a phone verification code. Once I put my code in it told me the rules of the discord and something about waiting 5 minutes. I was welcomed possibly by you, I can't remember sorry.

I asked the thread to be locked after Kyrstelle posted.

We don't have phone verification :o Are you sure you were joining us?

Like I said before, I don't run the server on my own. All decisions are made by the administrator team. Therefore, new admin must be voted by current admins. Do you have a problem with it?

Since the RSOF Discord server is closely tied to the RSOF, we have decided to ban a member who had made death threats on the RSOF after this individual received a ban on the RSOF. This doesn't mean that any ban on the RSOF will result in a ban in the server as well. Depends on the case, we'll react differently.

Keep in mind that we will take necessary measures to ensure the safety of our server. Thank you.

I have updated to rules.

If you have an offensive name, I'll change it before telling you. I do scan through names in the server once a while.

If you have an offensive avatar picture, I'll tell you to change it. If you don't, you'll be removed from the server.

Your account was hijacked. I'd suggest you to do a full scan of your computer first, then change passwords.

Hey guys,

I never wanted to write this. But somtimes life gives you too much lemons to dead with. We may never see each other again. Probably not in this world. I remember when I first made the server accidentally, we were a group of just a handful of forumers. The funny thing was I didn't mean to make the server a serious one, but life happened good there and we became a big group.

We had our differences but at the end, we solved them. Mej always went to me before he made his decisions in the server. Little did he know I always saw him as a mentor. Without him, I would not be able to run things smoothly. So, I left the server for him.

Southy and I didn't get along well. But, I like him as a person for his honesty and sometimes, his honesty is brutal, haha.

Lisaa was a great help with all the bots and she actually helped a lot when we first started.

D4.... There is a lot to say about him, too... but he knows what I'd say about him.... good things

Delay.... My fav forumer. didnt talk much but when he did, he brought happiness and happiness is what i need right now but it's completely gone

Adarajin... i liked you, you were fun to tease.

To everyone else i have not mentioned, i likes all of you too.

I have a lot of unspoken emotions in me right now. most of them have done me bad on the inside. i dont know. life is weird. i want to be longer with you guys but i cant. i'll miss southy correcting my grammar errors in the server

umm.... i know you guys as an admin team have a lot of conflicts

please stop fighting over just a little personal disagreement. at least do it for me. i dont want you guys to hurt each other because i loved you all.

you dont have a choise but to make this promise to me

we dont have to be big but we are together. we are a family, not just a server.

i have always wanted a real happy family
