Let forumers lock their own threads. Allow forumers to move their threads once. If a forumer is finished with their own thread, this will save fmods time. If forumers can move their threads once, then they can also save fmods time. And also let players hide their own posts (not other peoples posts). If someone doesn't want other people to see their edited post, this would be helpful.
I don't know why but I have this feeling that the main use case for allowing people to move their threads, even if just once, would be for people to bounce back their threads from rants to whatever subforum they originally posted it, after a mod moved it to rants.
Being able to lock your own thread (and not being able to unlock it without a mod) would be nice though.
I don't support any changes to the user toolset. It has been stated many times by the moderators that general maintenance such as title changes, lock requests, move requests, etc take only seconds and it isn't felt that there are any time savings needed.
I'd rather see dev time spent working on core usability features such as topic subscriptions, incorporating the ignore list, profile management, etc. More time making the forums more useable for all rather than trying to find ways to give players mod tools they don't need. The idea is to discuss topics with each other, not make threads and posts just to lock and hide them from everyone. That's not what the purpose of the forums are.
I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them. (S09 EP23)
