If rants is to be taken seriously as feedback (it should be) then people, especially jmods, need to be able to know what game it's from when they read it.

OSRS rants will be good for both the RS3 rants forum, as well as OSRS specific forums. It removes rants from the other game from the current rants forum, and it'll allow other OSRS forums to flourish with more constructive feedback.

I'm on the fence with this suggestion - wouldn't object if it were to happen, wouldn't be pee'd off if it didn't happen.

I can see the pros and the cons.

It's an idea worth talking about at least.

if you're a jmod trying to actually read rants you probably only are concerned about the ones related to the game you work on. there's no reason to stuff osrs rants with rs3 rants unless it is indeed that jagex chooses to ignore this forum bring back the lumbridge pig pit

From the Rules and Guidelines sticky on top of the Rant forum:

"If your feedback IS constructive, then the correct forums to use are all in the Feedback, Discussion & Suggestions section."

This Rant forum is for people to "rant" as its name suggests not necessarily in a constructive way, and therefore not to be taken seriously by Jmods who focus on giving constructuve solutions.

No need to further divide Rant into RS3 or OSRS Rant, or else, we will also need RS3/General Rant, RS3/Suggestion Rant, RS3/Future Update Rant, etc, and their OSRS sub-rant counterparts.

TBH, I don't think Jagex care about giving a shit solution to anything in the Rant forum since, as the Rules and Guidelines specify clearly, constructive feedback doesn't belong in the Rant forum.

To me, anybody ranting in the Rant forum is just barking up the wrong tree. Anytime when a thread gets created in, or moved to, Rant, nobody should really expect any constructive solution will arise from it. In other words, the Rant forum is mainly a place for users who are in self-denial mode on Jagex deployed solutions. It makes no difference to self-deny on RS3 or OSRS sub-rant forums because the end result will always be the same... nothing will change. :)

Lol. That's the silliest "argument" I've seen presented so far. It doesn't even make sense.

So we're left with your only logical argument being that rants don't change anything? Well in that case we better shut the forum down and only use reddit.
Only rancid, vile creatures call others rancid, vile creatures!
Linking to threads that already answer a question is flaming/off-topic.
Quoting other comments is against the rules and will see your post hidden.

Not really.

Depending on how you worded can decide if its a rant post or not.

Even if you think you're just asking a question.

Plus the replies that follow are also taken into account.

Nope. The Rant forum is not a waste bin. It is more like a tree hole for those who don't get what they try to say accepted by other people, e.g. the Authorities.

When your post get moved to Rant, it only means your post is not constructive and doesn't belong in any Feedback forums.
