well the post in question said they would pass my feedback along

That's a cookie cutter response from a community liaison. Did Jagex do anything base on your "constructive" response since then? Care to share? :D

I think it is a little early to find out, updates take months sometimes and even if it does not result in an immediate change it could always influence how they plan new content in the future

Wake me up when you get a positive response, or even just a "thank you for your comment, your comment is very important to our business. We have nothing to tell you, have a nice day, bye"... or "all our representatives are busy helping our customers now.... please wait on line blah blah blah...". :D

Nope. The Rant forum is not a waste bin. It is more like a tree hole for those who don't get what they try to say accepted by other people, e.g. the Authorities.

When your post get moved to Rant, it only means your post is not constructive and doesn't belong in any Feedback forums.

well i have a constructive thread that was moved there so i disagree

This does happen quite regularly. Not to me, I have never had a thread moved to Rants. But I have seen threads that are complaining about an update, bug whatever moved to Rants when it was also giving constructive feedback. But I do read Rants regularly as I have done since I started reading the forums, so I can see the difference.

Keywords.

Thus depending on how the "complaint" was worded, it might be better off in rants.
