what is driving bond prices.
Quick find code: 317-318-622-66125790
They were released at 2 mil.
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Old_school_bond
The price tumbled until it hit 1.2. Then it gradually increases until aug. when it got back over 2 mil.
It spiked above 3 mil in December due to the special, then fell back in jan. The next year it repeated that, but took longer to fall back below 3mi.
From march until the following jan it stayed above 3 mil and some time above 4 mil. Since jan, its been a unrelenting cycle of climbing, then falling back and then climbing again. Every time it climbs it goes up enough the manipulators can make money, then doesn't fall back as far.
Does jagex care that the prices of the bonds are now making it impossible to earn one with anything but very high level skilling and pvm? No. They intended to remove all the gathering skills and most likely the other skills as well. They got tired of us protecting our banks over the major increases pvpers wanted.
So they decided to get rid of what kept the game alive for almost 2 decades, the skilling. They want a pure combat game, just like every other game on the net. Just one more "shoot em up" game. Nothing unique about it any more.
one more beat and forget game that soon no one will care about. Stop being a entitled snowflake. If you want something in game, earn it rather than demand it be given to you.

@Luke
Apparently the first bond went for like 800k according to Nubnubolas but that was extremely shortly lived. I won't bother asking for proof, because we know all about how reliable he is as a source unlike a certain someone.
@Cooke
Nah, Jagex cares. That's why they tried extensively hard to compromise with the spite voters but skillers insisted that they force in statuettes onto revs and hyperinflate the economy and now they're crying about it. That's why this is so beautiful to watch. It's the most hysterical thing I've ever seen.
Skilling never kept this game alive. If anything, World of Warcraft does it a hundred times better since we have professions and not everyone can master every skill. The whole class-based system is a genius mechanic and it's something I loved about Skyrim. That's why I was tempted to try out Elder Scrolls Online but never got around to it. It makes skilling unique and promotes player interdependency.
You're just crying about combat, because you can't do it. That's what upsets skillers about every other game, isn't it? The fact that they have an even stronger emphasis on skilled content? That's the only reason skillers ever stuck around in RuneScape for so long. It's because no other game will accept them and they don't ever wanna take blame for their own incompetence.
I used to be upset about the spite voting that caused all of this, but I no longer am. I'm on World of fucking Warcraft Classic. I'm having the time of my life right now exploring a whole new world out there. I had an infernal cape and mastered maximum efficiency ToB and CoX on OSRS, so I should be fine for learning raids on WoW classic. I'm athletic as hell with my clicks thanks to all of those prayer flicking drills I did while chopping redwoods and darts fletching while raiding. Unlike some people, I took it upon myself to improve my skills and become better overall. Draft dodger btw. Too scared to attack an enemy that tried to harm my loved ones so "I only learned to defend". Typical boomer born right after the era where my parents suffered the solitude of WWII, deprivation of the Great Depression while I never had to suffer jack or risk a thing.

To think that a PKer singlehandedly started a petition on a whim to bring OSRS back and the skilling community couldn't show the slightest bit of gratitude.

This game's finished and it's making me laugh.

I gave you proof that the ge price was 2mil on release and it fell to 1.2. I would not be surprised that some sold below 1 mil.
The reason they stop polling is that they know it does not matter any more. They made the decision to turn the game into a pure combat game and to hell with the rest of us.
Hope you enjoy the few servers with nothing but pvp in an areas about the size of varrock.
Pkers never made up more than 10% of the old game. It was the lost of 2 million skillers that killed rs3.
you are right. It will soon be only pkers and nothing more. Everything will be paid for with microtransactions.
The game could have lasted another decade if they had really cared about the integrity of the game. Stop being a entitled snowflake. If you want something in game, earn it rather than demand it be given to you.
