Can't log into game!

I've been a member for months now but haven't played since I'm getting ready to move and got a new computer. Recovered my account but it gives me a warning about a possible firewall issue and won't load. I don't want to keep paying for membership if I can't even log in. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Try disabling your firewall (risky ass move). Also, feel free to consult Nubnubjuiceaj. He'd actually know something. I'm just an idiot who does well enough to get by in school and made it to graduating from a 4 year's college with a bachelor's degree in computer science and didn't learn a thing. Draft dodger btw. Too scared to attack an enemy that tried to harm my loved ones so "I only learned to defend". Typical boomer born right after the era where my parents suffered the solitude of WWII, deprivation of the Great Depression while I never had to suffer jack or risk a thing. :)

Jagex's endpoint that serves out the client configuration has been very slow at responding in the last 24h, so the requests from the client to retrieve it are timing out. Not much we can suggest other than to keep trying - eventually one of the requests will succeed and the client will launch, and when that happens, you should be able to log in without issue.

i'm having the same issues and its a little worrisome for me. I literally just started playing again after being gone for some time. I put membership on and have been trying to play in the twisted league. I hope something can be done soon.

its a lagex problem -
be sure to enable your fire wall and any other anti virus program you might have.
It is NOT your computer -
They are having a problem connecting you.

it is a bummer, but you trying to fix your computer is not going to help this time.

use this time to update your windows defender and enjoy going to other sites as they are working fine.

I've been seeing that error for the past 4 days.
It's an ongoing issue.
Keep trying to log in. Eventually, it might work.
I couldn't log in a few hours ago, but I'm in right now.
You might also be able to play from mobile.
