I don't think anybody, especially OP, said anything about more content. He meant strictly revenue. And of course, more revenue means more employment powers and bigger workforce, but whether you like the content is totally up to you.

Please dont feed the spin 2 winners...
th promos for items are one thing,
But players are able to buy skills nowadays with irl currency, that imo is against everything rs stood for years ago. I get they gave it as an option to stop 3rd party sales for the same reasons. But this game is suposed to be earned through your time and effort, not just to be passed on highscores by some rich kid swiping credit cards for spins.
This is all my opinion but i know many share the same feeling.

The thing is they are incapable of making $400m from th. I'm saying $30m is not alot of money with the constant th promotions they do.

How you gonna make a $400m profit from a dying game?

"Dying games" would be happy just to make $3 mil a year off just loot boxes, $30 mil a year or 29% of total revenue was good percentage for most video game studios.

$400 mil a year is just not practical for now. It takes at least a few more years to grow a company that fast, barring further mergers.

Did you click on any of the link I provided? I was just making a joke (just like how OP isn't serious).

Jagex did itemize their entire 2017 revenue, and pure recurring membership only contributed to 45% of their total revenue, the rest came from players paying extra money on top of the monthly subscription plan.

Whoever says Bond = membership is obviously "whoever" says it. Too many of them actually in all kinds of social media and forums. However, they should all know without MTX, Jagex will have a much smaller workforce, and players will only have much inferior Jagex games to play. :D

You are my definition of a sheep, you think predatory gambling pushed towards new players(mainly kids) getting hooked to the game is fine because it gives Jagex a bigger development team? Everything is justified just so you get some more content? I guess you'd be allright if Jagex started hunting rhinos and cutting their horns, cutting fins from sharks, i mean its not far from getting kids gambling addicts isnt it?

explain to me how a kid gets money to pay for said gambling? are they stealing from their parents?? because a kid wouldn't just have money to play on TH.

They ask their parents for credit card number, duh. Or buy one of those cards from 7-11 or something.

That's why the incoming PEGI in-game purchase label also come with the parental guidance requirements for game developers. They will need to give the parents a way to block their kids from buying anything with real money without their permissions. Read that carefully again, though:

They said nothing about gambling at all. The parents have to be informed and given protection of their wallets on
all in-game purchases
, and that include
paid DLC/expansions, recurring payment/subscription
among all the other things that must be paid with real money. In other words, basically it covers all the for profit games. :)
