Hey everyone,

We've received a huge amount of Last Man Standing feedback since last week's beta. As a result, we'll be re-opening the beta world this weekend to a larger group of players (most players who applied). Below you can find details of the changes we'll be making so you can know what to expect this weekend.

Thank you for all of the feedback you've provided since last week. It has gone a long way and has helped us a great deal with implementing these changes.

  • The minigame is now single-way combat, using the same PJ timer as Deadman mode and PvP worlds.
  • There must be at least 60 players ready for your chosen game type before matchmaking begins.

  • We saw an outcry for the minigame to be single combat following last week's beta. While we are still concerned about the possibility of boxing, that is what betas are for. We want to see how single way combat with a PJ timer compares to multi-way combat.

We've increased the required number of ready players in order to make it less likely to end up in games with people you know.

  • Items can be transferred for tokens at shrines found around the island.
  • They can claim better items for a high cost of tokens.
  • All items now have a token cost and value associated with them.

  • If you're able to loot chests, you should be rewarded. Getting duplicate gear or excessive supplies will no longer be a waste, as you'll be able to progress towards some high end gear you would like. This is quite a big change, but one we are confident will add to the minigame.

    Fairer looting

  • Looting chests will now take a short amount of time.
  • You will now automatically attempt to loot a chest when you open it.
  • More lootable containers have been added.
  • Adjustments have been made to loot table balancing.

  • Adding a short delay to looting means that being one or two squares behind someone else doesn't mean you're down and out when you arrive at some chests. It evens out the playing field a bit more with looting.

The drop table has remained mostly the same, however you will receive higher quantities of food, runes and ammo.

    Fairer spawning

  • Randomised spawn points.
  • 10 second countdown at the start of a match (5 seconds waiting to move, followed by 5 seconds of no combat).

  • Spreading out spawns points across the map will help tone down the mayhem and reckless killing at the start of games.

    Bloody key

  • Placed into inventory upon killing someone.
  • Used to re-loot containers.
  • Higher chance of food/potions when re-looting containers.

  • Bloody keys will serve to incentivise killing other players and will inject a bit more food into the game for players who make it towards the later stages.

  • Quick-prayers are enabled.
  • Start at 10 prayer points.
  • Rapid restore and rapid heal are blocked.

  • Prayer is one of the most valuable resources in Last Man Standing. To help balance things out for everyone, and to prevent a few players who get prayer potion drops from completely dominating, everyone now starts with 10 prayer points.

  • 04:00, 06:00, 08:00 - Mobs will spawn at a random location.
  • Mobs drop food when defeated.

  • Game schedule

  • The speed at which games progress has been increased.
  • 00:00 - 01:00 = Preparation
  • 01:00 - 02:30 = Warning to players about fog approaching, safezone revealed.
  • 02:30 - 10:00 = Fog shrinks down to final area and waits.
  • 10:00 - 15:00 = Fog shrinks down within final area.
  • 15:00 = An ending is forced, kills are taken into account to determine winners.
  • 03:00, 05:00, 07:00, 09:00 = Loot crate spawns with higher chance of rare items will spawn at a random location.

  • In last week's beta we found that games were ending much quicker than we had anticipated. Speeding up the rate at which the fog comes in should help kill off any stragglers a little faster, and will prevent people hanging around on the edge of the map for too long. It'll also make the games feel a bit more action-packed.

  • Show how many players are currently waiting for your chosen game type, and how many more are needed before a new game can be started.
  • Bank PIN requirement on reward chest, as well as coffer.

  • The Last Man Standing beta will re-open tomorrow, closing on Monday 25th July. If you've made it into the second round of beta testing, you'll be notified via inbox message later today.

This is good, it'll be interesting to see how the game pans out, although i would've liked a mixture of both multi and single combat implemented. It's still a beta however.

Yes! Can't wait for the changes :D and pls Ronan bby do not attack me with Jed again in there :P

Greatly looking forward to the new mobs, tokens, and bloody key mechanics outlined here.

Boxing shouldn't be as great an issue as concerned for because runes are sparse to come by; they won't be boxing forever.

Thanks for all your hard work

And may the odds be ever in your favour :P

P.S Would be really cool if we could have viewing orbs in LMS like how there were in Clan Wars Classic

    Sandwich lady
should totally be one of the spawnable NPC's , you could kill her for a variety of treats.
    Mod Jed
