the idea of adding a conflicting drop table with the corp beast is baffling, the tome has no place other then to devalue the arcane, no way you believe this is the way the game should grow, it seems like you're just throwing things at the players. In what way do you think this will be useful??? how about repolling a BIS range glove???

Seem that osrs developer team doesn't learn their lesson.

Want to add armours/items/weapons to appeal to shiny object syndrome fraction of the community without putting in the effort to relive dead contents that has so much potential such as thammaron's sceptre.

No doubt if this update passes, it'll boost the playercount for a while and hit your work quota. But neglect the holistic approach to content design. So far these just looks "flashy" to me, for the sake of hitting quota.

Another one...

Seem like someone or some people in the developer's team has a hard on for a certain content *ahem* korasi's sword *ahem* and is hell bent on tryna change it's outlook so that they can sneak it in like trojan horse when enough people vote Yes to cross the 75%. Very slimy of these dev to project their wants without taking long term results into consideration, rather than actually stay neutral and objective in their job

Either the developers has no sense of direction on their own or they just think the job is a "passion" to relive their childhood dream to work in the company. This is what happens when you are having babies with no objective judgement running the show

Good start dragging some of the stats down. But definitely not enough. By far the biggest problem (at least from the PvP perspective) is the Nightmare Staff and in particular the Harmonised Orb. The staff has LOWER requirements than Toxic staff or the Kodai wand and is still equal in magic damage bonus. Either lower the magic damage bonus to a maximum of 5% or buff up the requirements to something like 80 Magic and 80 Hitpoints.

Current fire surge max hit in PvP is 49. That is already mad powerful for DPS. This staff would buff it by 20%. This crap is more powerful than the storm of armadyl back in the days, WITHOUT any quest requirements? The staff is by far the biggest problem. The tick speed edit is a HORRIBLE idea if it can apply to fire surge.

The only other problem is still the inquisitor set. A 30 def set should not be equal in offensive bonus to a 65 Def set. The helmet is better in offense bonus than the berserker helmet even. This doesn't make any sense, particularly when it still has POSITIVE magic bonus which is just really stupid, honestly. Slap some negative mage stats on it at the very least. You could raise the the def requirement to 40-50 as well.

On the positive,

Okay, good work on the reducing the damage bonus of the tome. These stats can just barely be acceptable on it, if it is incredibly rare to obtain. It should still not be superior to the Arcane with lower requirements. If you bring the accuracy down to 22-23% it might just make the cut.

The special attacks to the Nightmare staff are great. The absolute max hit for the spec is a 73 in MAX gear. It is not the Korasi sword, as that was based on melee strength and had no tick delay on the hit that way. But, for improvement, weakening the hit by dividing it like the dark bow spec could work. If the max gear max hit were something like 40-40 with split hits.

When I read about this update yesterday, I had to check the date to make sure we weren't in "April fools" because of how excessive it is. This would be very game changing, perhaps not as revolutionary as a blowpipe, but still not a step in the right direction (I'm talking about the staff mostly). Why is there a tier 30 armour that has better offensive stats than bandos and berserker helm being proposed? It has better crush offensive stats than an avernic defender too! The book was thankfully nerfed 2 days after posting about the update cuz it was obviously too much, but why are such excessive things being proposed in the first place? I don't really know what to say about the mace, as crush weapons have a very small niche like KQ and gargs, might make abyssal sire pointless, but out of everything in the update seems like the most reasonable item. It's just too much all at once, we need gradual, incremental changes over time (like phones getting slightly better each year). What we don't want are gigantic changes out of the blue like these that raise the bar too much for future updates and then before you know it, you have to start making fundamental changes to the game and then we're right back where we started. Osrs turns into RS3 and a year later osrs V2 is launched, where we can start over for the 3rd time and watch the same thing happen all over again.
