Someone managed to login to my OSRS account last night and take all of my items (100m+)

I did not have 2FA or a bank pin set (my fault i do now)

Confused how someone managed to get my login details? I've not downloaded anything suspicious or in fact at all over the past few months. Just in case i've also run a full Norton AV scan and Malware Bytes PC scan - nothing is being flagged up on either.

Is their a login audit history at all I can view somewhere, to see a time of when someone logged in and maybe an IP address?

Also the client I use is called 'OSBuddy', is it possible my information was shared from this?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Krazezor.

If the password had been changed, then the hijacker probably had access to your email account. If not, then either the login details were probably phished from you, or there is a keylogger/RAT on your PC (though you seem to have eliminated that possibility).

OSBuddy is an unofficial client, so you are trusting all of your login details to a third party. It's also possible that you downloaded a hacked version of the client, or a plugin you are using is stealing login details. Since it is a third party client, it's use is entirely at your own risk.

Hi Asahel,

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.

I guess all I can do now is to take extra security measures to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I don't suppose you know if it's possible to see a recent OSRS login audit history over the past day at all?

Jagex don't share information like that.

If you had to recover your account, then Jagex already know about the hijacking.

If you didn't have to recover the account, then you can report the hijacking by emailing
tipoff@jagex.com
and they will investigate. That email address is for reporting only, you won't get an individual reply, and it is not a way to get your items back.
