Currently, the Master Camouflage Outfit provides the benefits of the Black Ibis set, most of the benefits of the Trehaearn Exoskeleton set (minus the Gloves of Silence effect from the bracers), and the Gloves of Silence, provided that the player owns them. In the case of the BI and Exo sets, these effects work if the sets are stored in the bank or in the POH Armour Case.

Unfortunately, the Gloves of Silence can only be stored in the Bank, which means that you need to sacrifice an extra bank space in order to get the effect.

Therefore, I'd like to propose three ways that this could be resolved:

1. Allow storing the Gloves of Silence in the POH. Either the Armour Case or Fancy Dress Box could easily allow these gloves to be stored.

2. Allow the Master Camo outfit to permanently absorb a pair of Gloves of Silence. Plague's End, and by extension, the Exoskeleton set, don't have the same or higher Hunter requirements as the GoS, meaning that it's technically possible for someone to unlock the Exoskeleton and/or Master Camo set without being able to make/wear GoS. Letting the Camo outfit absorb the GoS would still need 54 Hunter.

3. Just make the Exoskeleton set provide the GoS bonus for the MC outfit anyway. The Exoskeleton provides the same bonuses as the GoS when worn, but not when providing bonuses to the MC outfit. Doing this would make the GoS completely obsolete once Plague's End is completed, but would allowing a piece of equipment that only requires level 54 Hunter to be made redundant by equipment that requires a Grandmaster Quest to obtain (as well as 20 Invention, and by extension 80 Smithing/Crafting/Divination) be a bad thing?

What do you think?

Option 3 would be my choice as well. I don't like the inconsistency of the Exo set having a built-in Gloves of Silence when worn, but not having it when being factored into the Camouflage Outfit.

My preferred option would be to charge the set with gloves of silence - much like how GotE is charged with porters.

This would bring some value back to creation of the gloves. I'm not a fan of new, better sets being released that are much easier to obtain and make older content obsolete.

As I currently hoard 14 Billion of these things, I say yes to whatever benefits me in this regard.

Im sure you do. Just like how i have 50b of them /s

My take on this is to allow the GoS to be worn in place of outfit gloves.

Im sure thats already possible with other outfits and their pieces.

I'm not inherently opposed to this -- heaven knows that early-mid level Hunter could really use more ways to make money -- but I wouldn't say that Exoskeleton or Master Camo are "easier to obtain". Making GoS requires 57 Hunter and a handful of gold, whereas Exo requires completing a quest chain, including a Grandmaster quest that requires level 75 in 10 different skills, and Master Camouflage requires level 80 in three skills, 70 in a fourth (Thieving itself), and level 20 in an Elite Skill.

I feel like making older content obsolete is acceptable if there's sufficiently high requirements to do so, and IMO the requirements for the alternatives more than fit the bill.

This.

If GoS were intended to remain relevant the functionality wouldn't have been an unlock needing level 75 hunter and thieving for the exoskeleton (on top of the pure requirements to do the quest - and if we're talking about yet another layer on inheritence: on top of the pure stats requirements to make master camouflage).
