For far too long an obviously broken system for auto attacking has remained set in game. This 4 tick auto attack allows players to switch between a wand and a staff and deal the auto attack damage of a staff at the speed of a wand. This is a clearly broken system allowing for what is obviously a bug. This has been the case since the release of the evolution of combat in 2012. Not only is it broken but it has become the common meta of the player base. If you leave a bug to provide the highest dps in game, of course players will abuse it.

I do not believe any sort of banning, or other punishment is necessary for those that have done this, most of us that understand it are culprits, I do however believe it is time we see a patch and solution that caters to all players. I believe the entire tick system needs a slight overhaul.

Currently game tics work on a .6 second interval and auto attacks are built around this while the abilities have a global cool down of 1.8 seconds allowing the auto attacks of dual wield after 2.4 seconds and two hand after 3.6......which is a bit off from the abilities in general with the dual wield technically firing an auto attack during the second global cooldown of an ability rather than on the same tic system as the abilities.
(This is part of how it became broken)

Rather than overhaul the entire thing, we need only to realize that two handed weapons already coincide with the global cool down every other ability, but dual wield does not

-Auto attacks should fire more easily and coincide better with the use of abilities. They should fire off before each ability or before every other ability. (wand speed vs staff speed) It's called an "Auto"-attack for a reason, We shouldn't have to think about it for it to fire off.

-Auto attacks should be more fluent with combat and should not be interrupted by the use of an ability

-This should also allow revolution to fire off auto-attacks without a forced manual casting of an auto attack.

Dual wield auto attacks should be changed to fire off at 1.8 seconds rather than 2.4 and should provide exactly half the damage of a two handed auto attack.

-Switching from dual wield to two hand should not allow for the auto attack on a two hand weapon to fire off more rapidly. This needs set in stone.

This fix will ground out the broken system and clean it up to make it more fluent for all players.
