The problem being is that the way I used to play RS was to make whatever I could, and now I can't smith anything I used to. Warhammers are simply not an option when I try to smith, whereas I could make them before. In fact, when I smith something simple (let's say in steel) it takes about 4x as long to accomplish this.
So what you are saying is that I can't make things anymore?
all your items prior to rework have been converted, there's a guy outside the artisan's workshop who can exchange them for equivalent value now, or you can disassemble or alch them. you can still make warhammers, you just need the required number of bars. things take longer but they are worth more now. it's a good tradeoff and you get more xp as well. we had too many metal items in the game that were basically becoming worthless, now you get decent xp and there's less abundance of them. you can even upgrade them in tiers to keep earning xp and make them stronger. it's all around a pretty good deal, and if you don't like it there's two shops in the game where you can buy a rune warhammer anywaybring back the lumbridge pig pit
Also, with alching the abundance of metal objects was pretty much eliminated. Now I have a mountain of tickets, tokens and this stuff called salvage to make up for it. None of it gives me my old gear back, the gear I used to alch or give away or simply collect (who cares, right?) I've read numerous online explanations of what to do with all this crap but none of it makes much sense, even watched the RS videos about it. Other than nerfing the skills I worked on in the past, I don't see the point.
Thread moved to the RuneScape Guides and Help Forum, as this is unrelated to the Treasure Hunter feature.
Click on a Forge to open the smithing menu. In the left column, under Core Metals, click on your rune bars (they should be stored in your metal bank). In the center column, scroll down to Weapons and select Rune Warhammer.
