Embark to the Christmas Village
The Christmas Village is brimming with holiday cheer and has grown bigger than ever! Diango’s cosy new workshop is up and running, ready to craft toys for all the adventurers on Santa’s nice list this season.
The workshop is bustling with new festive skilling activities, including Toy Crafting, Hot Chocolate Making, and Fir Woodcutting. Don’t worry—if you had a favourite activity from last year, it’s back, too! To join in the fun, head to the Land of Snow using the portal in the Burthorpe event area or the Christmas Village lodestone.
The Christmas Village will be open from game update on December 2nd until 11:59 pm on January 5th—plenty of time to soak in the festive fun!
New Seasonal Quest: "A Christmas Reunion"
With your efforts to raise the festive mood last year paying off, Santa has enlisted the help of his old pal Diango to create toys for the season. However, before Diango can get started, he needs help setting up his workshop - and that’s where you come in!
You'll be helping with the workshop, tracking down the finest pixie helpers, crafting appropriately festive uniforms, and of course – stocking up the breakroom with lots of seasonal treats. Diango treats his team well.
Completing the quest will award you with the following :
- 5,000 Prismatic XP Lamp
- 2,000 Christmas Spirit
- Legacy Christmas Emotes (if not unlocked)
- 'Diango's Little Helper' title
- Hot Chocolate Rest animation
- Access to Diango's Workshop Skilling Activities
- Additional reward of a Winter Hat and Scarf if you didn't get them last year.
Got other plans this Christmas? Don't worry - 'A Christmas Reunion' and last year's 'It's Snow Bother' seasonal quests will continue to return each year alongside the Christmas Village.
As a quick reminder, these Quests do not award Quest Points and are not required for your treasured Quest Cape!
Santa's Lodge, Nice List & Black Party Hat
Just up the hill from the village, you will find Santa's own lodge! This is a cosy little cabin where he will come and give out gifts to anyone who's on his Nice List that week.
Last year we introduced the incredibly sleek and stylish Black Party Hat as a very rare drop available each Christmas!
To potentially get your hands on the Black Party Hat you're going to have to get on Santa's Nice List and for that you need to earn Nice Points. All players who have collected a nice point that week are put in a draw to win the Black Party Hat at the end of the week when Santa arrives at the lodge.
Santa’s arrival is always a grand event, and he's all about spreading some pre-visit merriment! Thirty minutes before he reaches the Lodge, a timer will pop up to remind players that the festivities are about to begin. As the clock counts down, Snow Imps at the Lodge will start tossing presents around, ready for players to gather and unwrap. For an extra dose of holiday fun, players can even transform into a Snow Imp or Snowman during this time!
He will arrive at the lodge at 8 pm Game Time each Sunday in December (He won't arrive on Jan 5th) and stay for 2 hours until 10 pm Game time. During this time players will be able to enter the lodge and collect their weekly gift from Santa!
Make sure you get your nice points beforehand by delivering letters to Santa. Each day, players will be able to gather up 3 letters to Santa and post them in the Wintumber Postbox just outside Santa's Lodge to earn a nice point & a spot on the nice list!
You can earn these letters by:
- Speaking to Clementine outside the lodge
- Completing all of your Daily Challenges
- Passively while completing seasonal activities in the Christmas Village
You will get 1 letter for each of these steps. If you missed a letter, you will be able to pick up a replacement in the Christmas Spirit Shop for 400 Christmas Spirit.
Each week you only need to earn 1 nice point to be in the draw, but for every point you have earned that week, you will be in with an extra chance, players will be able to gather up to 7 nice points per week. The lucky few (and we mean few - this item will be very rare!!) will set off a celebratory set of fireworks at the Lodge and an anonymous broadcast that a black partyhat dropped on that World. Even if you're not lucky enough to get the black partyhat, everyone who earned a nice point that week will receive one of the Christmas weekly gifts from Santa!
This year you will get a new set of adorable (and comfortable) Christmas themed pyjamas and slippers! Also, if you missed the Peppermint outfit or the Winter Hats/Scarves from last years weekly lodge events you will get them here.
- Week 1 (Dec 2 - 8):
- Cosy Pyjamas - Trees variant
- Cosy Slippers - Zuk
- Week 2 (Dec 9 - 15):
- Cosy Pyjamas - Snowflakes variant
- Cosy Slippers - Plain
- Week 3 (Dec 16 - 22):
- Cosy Pyjamas - Candy Canes variant
- Cosy Slippers - Penguin
- Week 4 (Dec 23 - 29):
- Cosy Pyjamas - Plaid variant
- Cosy Slippers - Plaid
If you are unable to attend the lodge when Santa has arrived, you will find your gift in the Sledge just outside the grotto. The black partyhat can be won from the sledge, not just Santa himself, so check in regularly! If you miss any weeks, Just having one Nice Point will also get you any of the weekly cosmetics you missed from Santa's Lodge on top of that week's new cosmetics so no one misses out on any gifts.
You can also acquire missed letters (including from previous weeks) at any time to make sure everyone can earn equal opportunities to find the black partyhat - regardless of your schedule!
Ironman Restrictions
Before we dive into the festive activities available this Christmas, we’d like to share some thoughts on how we’re approaching Ironman players this season. With the recent launch of Group Ironman, players have been exploring a variety of content and progression methods in creative and diverse ways. It’s been a joy to watch and has sparked fresh conversations about the Ironman playstyle—particularly how it interacts with temporary events that offer buffs or alternative progression opportunities.
This year’s Christmas Village will follow a similar approach to last year, with skilling activities and weekly buffs available for a limited time. However, we recognize that these temporary boosts can deviate from the core philosophy of Ironman gameplay, which emphasises self-reliance and overcoming challenges through personal effort. To preserve the integrity of the Ironman experience, we’ve introduced the following restrictions for this seasonal content :
- Ironman (Regular & Hardcore) / Group Ironman (unranked & ranked) / Competitive Group Ironman will not have access to any of the upcoming Winter Week Buffs outside of "Safe Deaths" & "Trees replenish twice as quickly"
- Group Ironman (Ranked) / Competitive Group Ironman will not earn any XP from the activities in the Christmas Village.
Winter Weeks - Weekly Buffs
Winter Weekends are making a return and this time they will run the entire week! Each week you will be given a new set of buffs to empower a different aspect of play. Check them out below :

- Week 2: Gathering Buffs (December 9-15)
- Mining stamina decreases at half the rate
- Trees replenish twice as quickly
- Archaeology precision is increased by 20%
- 10% chance to receive an additional resource when training Gathering skills

- Receive double slayer points when completing slayer tasks
- Receive double dungeoneering tokens from Dungeoneering and Elite Dungeons

- No failure of Agility obstacles
- Week 4: Artisan Buffs (December 23-29)
- 20% chance to not lose heat when Smithing

- All deaths are safe for members and free for non-members
Each week's buffs are exclusive to that week and do not carry over to subsequent weeks. You can check out what buffs are available in the in game interface as well.
Seasonal Activities
The Christmas Village is bustling with seasonal activities you can repeat to get ready for the holidays! Each one rewards players with valuable Christmas Spirit also with the addition of the workshop there are even more activities to get involved with.
Fir Woodcutting - New
New for this year! Find Fir trees right outside the Workshop that you can chop down for a little Christmas Spirit and Woodcutting XP. You can then take those logs to the nearby splitting stump and split them for more Spirit and XP - then deposit them into the log pile for a final burst of rewards.
110 Woodcutting & Fletching drops one week into the event on December 9, so there's a perfect bit of synergy there too!
Cooking Hot Chocolate - New
New for this year! After completing the "A Christmas Reunion" Quest, return to the workshop and use your culinary skills to keep the spirits of the pixies high with a lovely hot chocolate (or 50!).
Work with Aoife to stir the chocolate and add in extra ingredients to earn Cooking XP and Christmas Spirit!
Crafting Toys - New
New for this year! Also after completing the "A Christmas Reunion" Quest, you'll be able to lend a hand crafting Marionettes in the workshop.
Carve the wood, then bring your materials over to the other tables to paint and then string the Marionettes. Dashing around the workshop to craft these toys will earn Crafting XP and Christmas Spirit.
Decoration Making - Returning
The present wrapping activity from the "It's Snow Bother" quest has now moved into the Workshop as well!
Take the unfinished decorations from the nearby chest, use your expertise to prepare them and then deposit the finished decorations in the other chest to gain some Christmas Spirit and Construction XP.
Ice Fishing - Returning
Fishing is a serene pastime and so the Snow Imps have cut a hole in the ice to catch some fish. Hey, even crazy Snow Imps need to relax!
Help them out by fishing up frozen bass, salmon and trout - then deposit them in a nearby barrel to earn some Christmas Spirit and Fishing experience.
Crafting Fletching Snowballs - Returning
When Christmas cheer is high, and snow is all around, a Snowball fight is never far away. Time to prepare! Use your Fletching skill to prepare Snowballs at the pile of snow near the oven for some cheer and Fletching experience.
Keep them close by for when Smokey The Coal appears from the oven desperately in need of some help cooling down. Pelt Smokey with snowballs to cool him off and bag yourself some bonus Christmas Spirit.
Holly's Christmas Spirit Store
The Christmas Spirit store returns with more rewards all themed around Christmas - from new cosmetics like the Festive Holly Guard and Lantern to a multitude of classic items from previous years' events!
This store will return each year with the Christmas Village - so don't worry if you haven't been able to gather up enough spirit to get everything this year.
Christmas Spirit is exclusively earned via gameplay by participating in the seasonal activities of Christmas Village & delivering gifts via Santa's Sack.
