The Christmas Village is back and more dazzling than ever, offering new content, classic favourites, and another chance to win the sought-after Black Partyhat.
This year, the Queen of Snow graces the Christmas Village with her regal presence, and she has her sights set on hosting a grand tournament!
Join a variety of new festive activities, take advantage of weekly buffs, and discover a sleigh filled with an exciting mix of new and familiar rewards. Remember to visit Santa Lodge on Sundays.

Drift down to the Christmas Village
Christmas Village keeps growing year after year, and this season it’s unveiling a snowball fight worthy of legend! To join the fun, travel to the Land of Snow using the Christmas Village lodestone.
The Christmas Village will be available from game update on December 1st until 11:59 pm on January 4th, plenty of time to soak in the festive fun!
New Seasonal Quest: "Cold Front"
Hopefully the cold doesn’t bother you, because this year you’ll be teaming up with the Queen of Snow to host a spectacular snowman tournament. The only catch is that she wants everything to be absolutely perfect!
Didn’t get a chance to complete last year’s Christmas quests? Both 'A Christmas Reunion' and 'It’s Snow Bother' return annually along with the Christmas Village.
As a quick reminder, these Quests do not award Quest Points and are not required for your treasured Quest Cape!
Santa's Lodge, Nice List & Black Party Hat
Just up the hill from the village, you will find Santa's own lodge! This is a cosy little cabin where he will come and give out gifts to anyone who's on his Nice List that week.
Climbing onto Santa’s Nice List is easier than ever! Earn Nice Points by handing in letters to Santa, every three letters you give will earn you one shiny Nice Point. You can gather these letters by:
- Speaking to Clementine outside the lodge
- Completing all of your Daily Challenges
- Passively while completing seasonal activities in the Christmas Village
You will get 1 letter for each of these steps. If you missed a letter, you will be able to pick up a replacement in the Christmas Spirit Shop for 400 Christmas Spirit.
Each day, players will be able to gather up 3 letters to Santa and post them in the Wintumber Postbox just outside Santa's Lodge to earn a nice point & a spot on the nice list!
All players who earn at least one Nice Point during the week are entered into a draw to win the coveted Black Partyhat when Santa arrives at the lodge. Thirty minutes before Santa’s arrival, a timer will appear to signal that the festivities are about to begin.
As the countdown runs, Snow Imps at the Lodge will start tossing presents for players to collect and unwrap. Santa will arrive at the Lodge at 8 pm Game Time every Sunday in December and remain for two hours until 10 pm. During this time, players can enter the Lodge to check with Santa directly.
If you can’t make it when Santa is in the Lodge, don’t worry, your gift will be waiting in the Sledge just outside the Grotto. You can also collect any missed letters, including those from previous weeks, at any time, ensuring everyone has a fair chance to earn the Black Partyhat no matter their schedule.
Winter Weeks - Weekly Buffs
Winter Weekends are making a return! Each week you will be given a new set of buffs to empower a different aspect of play. Check them out below :
- Week 1: Clue Scrolls (December 1-7)
- 1 free reroll for clue scroll rewards per day.
- 10% increased chance to get clue scrolls as drops and from pickpocketing.
- Receive 50% more treasure trail points when completing clue scrolls.
- Week 2: Bossing (December 8-14)
- Choice of Soul Reaper task.
- Receive double reaper points when completing Soul Reaper tasks.
- Elder overload cauldrons are active at War's Retreat.
- All deaths are safe for members, and free for non-members.*
- Week 3: Skilling (December 15-21)
- 10% chance to receive an additional resource when training Gathering skills.
- 10% chance to save resources or produce double items when training Artisan skills.
- Receive 50% more XP when completing Agility courses.
- Pickpocketing has 20% increased chance of success
- Week 4: Combat (December 22-28)
- Choice between 2 Slayer tasks when assigned a new task.
- Receive double slayer points when completing Slayer tasks.
- Tier 4 luck is always active.
- Charm drops give one more charm than normal.
- Week 5: Activities (December 29 - January 4)
- The Dominion Tower grants 50% more dominion factor, and killing bosses count as two for the purpose of reward unlocks.
- Shattered Worlds grants 50% more shattered anima.
- Receive double dungeoneering tokens from Dungeoneering and Elite Dungeons.
- Player-owned ports' voyages return 30% extra resources and trade goods.
- Receive double thaler from minigames.
*Available for Ironman players.
Each week's buffs are exclusive to that week and do not carry over to subsequent weeks. You can check out what buffs are available in the in game interface as well.
Seasonal Activities
The Christmas Village is bustling with seasonal activities you can repeat to get ready for the holidays! Each one rewards players with valuable Christmas Spirit also with the addition of the workshop there are even more activities to get involved with.
Snowball Arena
The Snow imps have sculpted a frosty new arena this year to host the Queen of Snow’s midwinter celebration tournament! Grab your snowballs or craft fresh ones around the arena and pelt Snowmen to earn Christmas Spirit and Ranged XP!
But be warned… something chilling and dangerous lurks within that snowy battleground.
Snowverload!
An Abominable Snowman with snow business being in the Christmas Village, he storms in every hour at xx:45, ready to wreak havoc!
Players will need to band together and pelt him with snowballs to chase him away while avoiding his snowy rampage. Taking him down will earn you a chance at having your very own Snowverload pet!
Returning Seasonal Activities
The village is chock full of ways to skill and chill while earning Christmas spirit! Including Chopping Fir Trees, Cooking Hot Chocolate, Crafting Toys, Making Decorations, Ice Fishing or packing Snowballs!
Holly's Christmas Spirit Store
The Christmas Spirit Store is back, bursting with festive rewards! Discover everything from cozy new jumpers to a treasure trove of classic items from past Christmas events.
This magical store returns every year alongside the Christmas Village, so don’t worry if you haven’t collected enough Spirit to get everything this year, there will always be another chance.
Christmas Spirit is earned exclusively through gameplay by joining in the seasonal fun in the Christmas Village and delivering gifts with Santa’s Sack.
Not-So-Secret-Santa
Feeling extra jolly this season? Pop by the Igloo in the Christmas Village and have a chat with the “Not-So-Secret-Santa.” You can secretly add items or coins to your world’s Secret Santa gift pool and spread some holiday cheer!
Almost anything you’d normally sell on the Grand Exchange can be donated (Bonds excluded). And as a thank-you for your generosity, you’ll get a chance to draw from the prize pool every three hours, who knows what magical festive surprises might be waiting for you!
Advent Calendar
The Advent Calendar is back to make your countdown to Christmas extra magical! Log in each day to claim one of 24 delightful daily rewards.
Want to unwrap something even more special? Open 15 calendar spots on their intended day (for example, December 1st on December 1st) and enjoy bonus surprises that make the season sparkle!
A Giant Present
Have you seen that enormous present by the igloo? From Christmas Day, December 25th, through January 4th, you’ll have the chance to unwrap it and reveal the surprise inside!
Presents From The Imps & Wrapping Paper
The holiday cheer is spreading far beyond the Christmas Village, because Presents From The Imps are back!
Throughout the entire Christmas Village event, almost any activity you take part in across Gielinor will reward you with Wrapping Paper, and with it, the chance to unwrap some extra festive prizes!
You’ll find Noel, proudly returning as the “Official Wrapper-er of Festive Cheer”, waiting near Santa’s Lodge. Bring your Wrapping Paper to Noel, and he’ll happily trade it in and reveal the surprises tucked inside those holiday parcels.
Every time you hand in 200 Wrapping Paper, you’ll receive one of five types of Presents, White, Blue, Purple, Santa, or Gold. Each one is packed with wonderful Christmas-themed rewards and delightful stocking fillers.
What's in the Presents!
This year the presents are stuffed with all manner of goodies including the new Yellow Santa & Blue Santa Hats!
These can be found in anyof the presents, but you'll be guaranteed to get your hands on one if you tear open a Gold Present.
You’ll also have an increased chance to uncover them in a Santa Present, which this year may also include the Pink, Purple, or Green Santa Hats, alongside a host of untradeable rewards from Treasure promotions - such as Warped/Frozen/Blessed and Corrupted Combat Animations, Deadly Highwayman & Herald of Tumeken outfits alongside returning classics like the Boulder/Snowball Pets & Aurora Dye!
