2025 Player Survey

2025 Player Survey

Howdy Scapers, Let’s talk about what's next.

At Runefest we gave a comprehensive look into our plans for the rest of this year and now we're kicking off the 2025 RuneScape Player Survey, designed to put your voice right at the heart of our future roadmap planning.

This is your opportunity to shape the things to come, from the types of content we prioritise to the features you want to see developed. Whether you're a quest-lover, skiller, PvMer, or something in between, your feedback will help steer the direction of the game in a meaningful way.

Some of the things the last survey helped steer were:

  • 110s Skill Updates
    • There’s strong support for pushing existing skills further, with 70% of players in favor of increasing skill caps. 20% ranked it in their top three most-anticipated updates, the overall sentiment shows that deeper progression in existing content remains important to many.
  • Desert Storyline Expansion
    • The appetite for story is alive and well—70% of players expressed interest in sequel quests that continue current storylines, with the Desert arc being a standout.
  • Havenhythe Exploration
    • Exploration proved to be a massive hit, with 90% of respondents eager to discover a new area in Gielinor, and 25% naming it as a top-three most anticipated update style. This overwhelming support gives us confidence in diving deeper into new, mysterious regions like Havenhythe.
  • Introducing New Game Modes
    • Finally, 50% of respondents expressed interest in new modes such as Group Ironman and Leagues. These modes represent a desire for alternative ways to experience RuneScape.

The survey can take up to 30 minutes or more to complete and includes a variety of detailed questions. We strongly recommend using a desktop device, as some questions may be more difficult to navigate on mobile. We’re incredibly excited to build a future shaped by the community—starting right at the foundation—and we hope you are too.
