This Christmas promises to be the most explosive yet. We are planning a whole host of super-exciting and crazily rewarding in-game events and competitions, as well as a plethora of forum and social activities to sink your festive teeth into! With each of our competitions you’ll have the opportunity to win a bunch of festive crackers, which - when pulled - have a chance of giving out a black Santa hat, among other potential presents! It’s definitely worth checking out everything we’ve got to offer.
So without further ado, here’s what’s coming up over the 15 Days of Christmas!
Christmas Clan Challenge
Clans are an integral part of the community, and to celebrate that we’ll be hosting a special event on each of the 15 Days of Christmas, from a Clan Disco to a Family Photo to a Clan Conga and Penguin Hunt – if you’re clan crazy, then these events are for you! Snowman Raids
With Christmas fast approaching, snowmen are appearing throughout RuneScape! This is a perfect opportunity to have some good old-fashioned fun with your friends, especially as each snowman drops a handful of snowballs you can pelt at others! For those who turn up in festive gear there’s also a chance to win extra festive crackers- an offer I’m sure no one could refuse! Forum Caption Competition
Our forums are renowned Gielinor over for being the life blood of the RuneScape community, so to keep the Christmas spirit flowing we’ll be hosting our very own festive Forum Caption Competition! Starting from the 20th of December right the way up to the 2nd of January we’ll be posting a Christmas themed picture taken from a frosty place in Gielinor. It’s your job to provide the best caption for it; whether it’s funny, factual or a mixture of both – we want to see it! Visit the forum thread to find out more.
Festive Cryptic Clue Fest
This Christmas we’ll be resurrecting an old community favourite - we're running a special Festive Cryptic Clue Fest from the 20th to the 24th of December. Be sure to log in game and get solving those clues! Click here to find out more.
Forum Crack-a-Joke Competition!
Real-life crackers are known for party hats and plastic toys, but what they’re renowned for is terrible jokes! So, if you fancy the chance of grabbing a festive cracker, all you need to do is make us laugh. It’s really as simple as that! Pop on over to this forum thread to get involved.
Christmas Story Competition
Winter brings out the fireside storyteller in us all, and this year we would like to give you a chance to tell your very own RuneScape festive stories! This competition will be running from the 20th of December to the 3rd of January, so check out this thread for more information on how to participate.
Christmas Drabble Competition
"What's a drabble?" I hear you ask. Put simply, a drabble is a very short story, exactly one hundred words in length, and is an excellent way to perfect your festive writing skill! Massive In-Game JMod Party
Christmas and New Year aren't complete without a full-scale party, so that's exactly what we plan to host! Join us on World 83 on the 2nd and 3rd of January 2014 at 5pm GMT, just north of the Lumbridge crater, for a plethora of in-game activities: including a festive dance off, 'best dressed' competitions, and more! This is something you do not want to miss! More details of what’s planned for the party can be found here.
As you can see, the Community Team has a bucket-load of exciting and fun-filled events for you to all get stuck into. Remember that every Community Team-led event will offer the chance for you to win a festive cracker, so make sure you engage with as many competitions as possible!
