What is Insomnia Gaming Festival?

This year, we are partnering with Insomnia to help us bring RuneFest back for the first time in 5 years!

Insomnia will bring their 20 years of experience running events to help us deliver an amazing RuneFest - with Jagex still deeply involved to make sure everything is impressive and Scapey.

Started back in 1999 as a LAN party, Insomnia is about players coming together to play as one community. Now the UKs biggest gaming festival that has been going on in the same building, just a few steps away.

RuneFest will be it's own separately ticketed event - so while only RuneFest ticket holders will be able to attend RuneFest, as a RuneFest ticket holder, you gain access to the rest of the Insomnia Festival too!

What Can I Do At Insomnia

While RuneFest is its own separate experience, there's plenty going on worth a look at the Insomnia festival too!

  • 2024 marks the 25th year of Insomnia the Gaming Festival as the event celebrates a quarter of a century in bringing the community together
  • Meet gamers, attend panel sessions, meet your favourite content creators, compete in tournaments, on stage entertainment
  • Check out exhibitors showing the public their latest games (from big companies to indie studios)
  • Play in retro gaming zones, see some amazing cosplay, or shop at the massive gaming marketplace.

How Much Is RuneFest And How Do I Buy

RuneFest Tickets will be £175 for the two-day event, with an early bird price of £150 for the first 500 ticket purchases!

Tickets will go on sale March 27 at midday.

RuneFest Tickets also include access to the three-day Insomnia Festival within the ticket price, and a goodie bag packed with loot to commemorate your attendance!

What If I Can't Go

We'd love to see you at RuneFest and hopefully there's future years ahead to find your chance.

It's really important to us to include as many people in the experience as possible - so expect a RuneFest Livestream where we'll do as much as we can to capture some of the event's magic and bring it home to you.

We are so excited to see RuneFest becoming a reality. We hope you'll join us this September for the world's great RuneScape party!
