New Necromancy Conjure - This Week In RuneScape

Conjure up a new friend this week with the New Phantom Guardian necromancy Conjure

New Conjure : Phantom Guardian
Sticks and stones won't break his bones ('cause he has none)

Give a warm welcome to the Phantom Guardian! This resilient soul will help keep you safe while in combat.

The Guardian is aimed to round out the conjure team by providing a defensive benefit. This conjure will not directly attack targets and will instead focus on keeping you safe, though once you have unlocked the Command ability you can have them retaliate against your enemies.

You can unlock this conjure in the Well of Souls once you have reached the fifth tier. Once unlocked you can unlock the Command ability at tier 6. Check out the abilities below for some extra insight.

Conjure Phantom Guardian : Conjure a Phantom Guardian from the Underworld to protect you from harm. They will protect you by reducing damage taken from core damage types by up 5%, capped at a threshold. While active they gain Valour stacks when you are attacked, which are used to enhance the strength of their Command Ability.

Command Phantom Guardian : Command the Phantom Guardian to blast the target with energy stored in its shield. This attack hits a main target and up to four additional enemies in a tile around that target.

This damage is improved by consuming all Valour stacks the Guardian has gained.

Patch Notes
Fixes and Improvements in this Week's Game Update

Mining and Smithing

  • Corrected progress needed by primal armour spikes from 1,100 to 550 so they're smithed at a similar rate to elder rune armour spikes. Also adjusted elder rune armour spikes XP from 1,000 to 500, and primal armour spikes XP from 1,400 to 700, to account for their creation speed being twice that of typical 1-bar items.
  • Corrected a typo in the masterwork cross guard centerpiece.
  • Prevented heating of members' unfinished smithing items on free-to-play worlds.
  • Disassembling primal equipment now has a slightly better chance of materials than elder rune equipment.
  • Content that determines the lowest skill, such as Tears of Guthix and Guthix Butterflies, now prioritises 120 skills over 110 skills.

General

  • The following items are now available to ironman players, available in Commander Connad's reward shop at Barbarian Assault:
    • Penance Trident
    • Penance Trident Upgrade
    • Attacker's Insignia
    • Collector's Insignia
    • Defender's Insignia
    • Healer's Insignia
  • Players can no longer enter the crumbling watchtower during the Nadir (saga).
  • Created an in-game calendar entry for the Ode of the Devourer Quest, from launch day 16th September 2024 to Sunday 22nd September 2024.
  • Corrected spelling on the Enchanter's Echo outfit.
  • Replaced the force walk tiles at the jade vine patch with blocking tiles to prevent players walking through bushes.
