Hello 'Scapers!
We'd like to share an update about our new Mobile UI, including much-requested features, like Tile Markers, NPC Highlights, Customizable Hotkeys, HiScores and the long-awaited Menu Entry Swapper. If you're not familiar with this update, please check out the blog from the Summer Summit here. As mentioned in the blog, we had planned to release the Mobile UI on October 9th, however, unfortunately, we've taken the decision to delay our Mobile UI release by one month. We're now aiming to launch on November 6th.
To those of you who have been patiently waiting for the launch of Mobile UI, we sincerely apologise for the additional wait. We know how excited you all are to experience a new, upgraded Old School on mobile. This decision wasn't made lightly, but we need to ensure that we deliver the best possible experience to our community.
During development, we identified a number of bugs and areas of improvement related to the Menu Entry Swapper. This feature improves many activities for the Mobile client by allowing you to swap around the default right-click/single-tap options with any other available. One-tap pickpocketing on Mobile is just one of the many activities the community has expressed excitement for! Consequently, for many of you, Menu Entry Swapper is one of the main reasons for jumping into the new Mobile UI update. We made the difficult decision to delay this update so that Menu Entry Swapper can be a polished, user-friendly feature on launch. As Leagues is launching in November, it's important for us to spend additional time on addressing the identified bugs and areas of improvement to make sure that this can happen. In the coming weeks, we will take all necessary steps to ensure this update meets the high standards of polish, functionality, and usability that our community expects. We can't stress enough how significant this update is going to be for our Mobile players, and we remain committed to improving mobile usability overall.
We truly appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support, especially as many of you have been involved since we first pitched these Mobile updates. Shoutout to the Official OSRS Discord and OSRSMobile subreddit, the Mobile team has been blown away by your support. Thank you for being part of this journey with us, and rest assured - there shouldn't be too much longer to wait!
